You alwasy ask us about this -- I think you need to track the restaurants people eat at and please do not send us any more inquiries about restaurants we go to once a month. Our opinion has not changed -- if you repeated this request once or twice a year I would understand -- but you might consider trying to fix your computer system to only send a reuest to your customers once or twice a year when they pertain to the same restaurant. Thanks FLF

  • We were pleasantly surprised
    Dave

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food from first course through dessert. The seafood bisque, stuffed shrimp and Maryland crabcake were all items we could heartily recommend. Our waitress helped with food choices, served our meal promptly (we were under a time constraint), and voluntarily served our dessert (split) on two plates. The room has a pleasant view of the Rancocas Creek.

I remember Carlucci's from years ago when it was the Pirate's Inn. I choose it to celebrate my first anniversay because I wanted to go someplace memorable and special. It was everything expected and remembered. The excellent food, service and ambience highlight by a spectacular view leaves the kinds of impressions that seldom go away. It almost seems criminal to leave out the quality live entertainement which was an unexpected extra that was really superb. We will have to go back to try thier lunches but I am thinking we will celebrate a lot of future special events there.

It was my wife's Birthday and we decided to celebrate the day by eating out. We have dined at the restuarnt ever since it was known as the Pirate's Inn. The food and service was good then as it is now. The Crock of Gold is still our favorite. We enjoyed ourselves very much on that special day.

Loved the restaurant and the food was excellent. Also, loved the Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc. music being played it enhanced our italian meal and set the mood. The only down side was the waitress, she didn't seem like she wanted to be there. We noticed the other two waitresses that were there at that time all had the same attitude. They need to hire servers that actually like to work in public or at least look like they do.

My companion and I enjoyed the overall experience. Food was very good and friendly service. We had a nice table with a view of the creek that was quite relaxing. We were only disappointed in the dress code. If we knew it was ok to come in clean pressed shorts and polos it would have been good to know. The crowd is def an over 40 crowd, or family place to celebrate a special occasion. Will return.

What a wonderful restaurant! I'm so glad that we attended Carlucci's latest wine tasting dinner. It was simply fabulous! The food was plentiful and the explanations of each wine served were very helpful. From dinners whle dating to our wedding reception just one month ago to this unique dining adventure, Carlucci's remains very high on our list of where to dine when we want a great meal with great service.

Myself and a friend who was visiting decided to go here because we thought it would be nice to have dinner outside by the water, however, there were no outside tables. we did sit at a table with a great view out of a large window. All of the food was exceptional, except for my entree, which was shrimp stuffed with crab wrapped in salmon with saffron cream sauce (cant remember what they called it), it tasted very fishy, the salmon was dry and the sauce was gross...it tasted like a powdered hollandaise they had added saffron too. On the menu it said "superb choice"...it was not. Other than that, It really was a good restaurant...great wine selection!

Tables are a bit too close together, try to go when there is entertainment as this adds to the overall ambiance. We had a newer waitress and noticed that bread was served to us without bruschetta, while other tables received it... this night, the waitress had too many tables to attend to give us the degree of service we had on a previous visit.

My family enjoyed our Mother's Day celebration at Carlucci's. The restaurant was a bit crowded, which was to be expected. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, even though I made a reservation several weeks in advance. The food and service were very good. I was sorry to see that an entree I usually order, Veal Alla Creama, was missing from the menu. However, the Chicken Sorrento was very good. I personally feel the restaurant should upgrade the dress code. Some of the patrons were dressed in jeans and sweat suits (or worse), which detracted from the overall experience. Thank you.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 5/11/2008
To say it was a very disappointing dining experience is an understatement. I would never recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining. The food was absolutely terrible, served cold, and not well presented. It was beyond tasteless, lacking anything that would stimulate one's palate, and was institutional at best. The chicken parmesan was cold, burned, and the chicken appeared to be processed . I had a veal dish that consisted of 3 miniscule pieces of extremely thin veal approximately 1x3 inches smothered in a congealed sauce topped with 2 small shrimp and 2 thumbnail lumps of crabmeat. All six entrees were disgusting. I knew as soon as we entered the restaurant that it was not the caliber of dining to which we are accustomed.

The side orders leave a lot to be desired. Both the potatoes and string beans were overcooked and greasy. In addition, there should be more choices for sides. My "medium" strip steak was over cooked. Server was pleasant but tried to rush us from the time we sat down. Maybe because it was Mother's Day.

I finally found a great place for my son's rehearsal dinner. Service was excellent. The Maitre'D and head chef came to the table to ask how the dinner was. The Chicken Maximo was fantastic. Others in the group had Chicken Florentine and Chicken Marsala. My wife had a ravioli with spinach. She's picky and couldn't believe how good it was. Leave room for dessert. They have a chocolate cake with mousse and ganache which was excellent. The drinks were potent and plentiful. I'm looking forward to coming back.

It was nice. My husband had the filet in a creame peppercorn sauce which was outstanding. I had sea bass which was just OK. It was in a watery butter sauce. Our waiter was slow throughout the meal to the point that we had to ask another waiter to take our check at the end because we were tired of wating for him to come back and pick it up.
