Legal ain't what it used to be. Everything tastes mass produced, which it is. Success is a curse, I'm sorry to say. Better to buy the fish, take it home, and do something great with it.

Dined at this Legal Seafoods the other night. Haven't been to this Burlington Mall location in a while. Service and food was top notch as we've come to expect. Had a delicious watermelon cocktail with my meal, as suggested by my waitress. In terms of the atmosphere, the restaurant lacks the modern, hip look that you find in the newer Legal locations. It certainly didn't help that the music in the restaurant was comprised of some bizarre mix of 1920s ragtime-jazz. I didn't know whether to eat my crab cakes or start dancing the Charleston. It's the 21st century, Mr. Berkowitz. Delicious meal though.

My wife and I dined at Legal Sea Foods at the Burlington Mall on a Monday Night aat 6:30PM and it was not busy - no wait for seating. We shared a bottle of H J Lohr Riverstone Chardonney. I had the Flounder Special and my wife had the Schrod. Both were excellent. Waiter was Stephen F, who was only there about a month and was very informative and polite.

We had a wonderful time for my son's college graduation celebration. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have it (Legals has been my fav for more years than I can remember.) Our waiter was superb as were the greeting staff. My only regret was that as we we getting ready to leave (my sister and I chose to use the ladies room first) I guess my son and his uncle chatted a bit too loudly and was admonished by an older woman/patron. I was sorry to hear about that as they didn't mean to be inconsiderate - they were just having such a good time and then having to say goodbye. Aside from that little glitch (wet blanket ;) everything was perfect. :)

The food and table service are always good here, in my experience. On this occasion I included a special request in my dinner reservation. My elderly mother uses a walker and is overweight enough to be uncomfortable in booths, so I asked for a table with chairs and accessible with space for the walker to stored beside us (so it would be convenient if she needed to go to the restroom). When we arrived, on time, they had a table waiting in a busy dining room and it not only met my specifications but also had a window view, which very few tables in this restaurant do. Afterward the hostess even asked us particularly whether we had been happy with the table. Thank you very much, Legal!

Legal Sea Foods in Burlington consistently serves the freshest seafood period! Whether you are looking for a nice piece of grilled salmon for lunch (which is one of my favorites), or a full on lobster dinner, this restaurant only serves top quality seafood and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is comfortable/casual and offers a wide variety of seating including a fully stocked bar, high-top seating with televisions, and a more formal dining room. If you plan to eat at either the bar or high-tops around the bar, you may seat yourself. Otherwise one of the very nice hostesses will seat you in the formal dining room. All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. You will have a great dining experience at this location.

It was really hectic here on Mother's Day. The crowd was handled well, but was quite loud. We started with the fish chowder. It was good, but it's becoming more evident of Legal's cutting corners in quality(they are not alone as, many rest. are cheapening their chowders)Way too much flour & heavy cream & too light on the fish/clams. True chowder should be more "brothy" with less cream & flour. The fish & clams are often pureed. I next had the Artic Char, similar to Salmon. It was nice. Richard had the Fish & Chips, which was spot on. Overall a good meal, only let down by the lessoning quality of the soups & chowders.

Normally we can count on Legal's constant quality and consistent kitchen, but not on this Mother's day! Soggy Soft shells, some dry special "pancake like" dish! We were comped on the soft shells but the damage had already happened. I have since this meal heard 3 couples talk about how the quality has been slipping. Hate to see this happen. Mother's Day I'm sure didn't help. Good luck Roger.

Been a regular at Legal Burlington since it opened. I have seen a marked drop off in quality/service in the last 12-18 months. Service is terribley slow and often non-existent. Food has come out cold or otherwise wrong on 4 of my last 6 visits. Not what I expect and certainly not at their prices or claims. I will likely stop going here after my last experience of a dry and luke warm crab cake and mildly warm other food.

I usually go to the Legals across from the Aquarium, but mother wanted to go close to home. I must say in this day and age, where many places serve great food but suffer from poor service, this Legals is true to the company policy of outstanding service from the moment you walk in the door. In addition, we were seated as requested per our reservation and luckily in a corner. Our entree was delicious, the dessert fair, and the rolls and coffee perfect. Personally, I did not find a lot of the menu options to be appealing, I realize the Burlington venue is a much smaller operation but in general the menu just seemed dull. In any event, this location is still a viable option for lunches and entertaining family.

We took my elderly mother and aunt to Legal Seafoods for Mother's Day. Our reservation was for 12:45 for 6 people, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The food, as always, was delicious. Our server, Devin, was lovely and very gracious when one member of our party acted like an oaf. The restaurant was loud, but that is to be expected on such a busy day. All in all, a lovely experience.

We find that Legal offers a consistently enjoyable dining experience. We're had the grilled shrimp and crabcake entrees....both were excellent. I don't recall that they always accepted reservations, but I was able to reserve a table for two via Open Table, and we were seated right on time. This is not a venue where one lingers in a quiet setting, but such should not be expected at a mall location. We did not feel rushed, but the tables do turn over at a fairly rapid clip.

Attentive service and always honor our reservations on time, while walk ins wait. It was a busy night when we went. Our waitress was nice but took a little while for her to come around to clear our table when we were done eating. Anxious kids wanting to leave. Great place to eat with kids. Good fish and service. Manager was walking around in circles and checking on tables to make sure customers were pleased (nice touch). Had the grilled scalloped with a side of mushrooms (yum) and kale with honey/yogurt. Good as well. Kids always get their salmon and love coloring on the sheet they give us.

We expect great seafood at Legals. I've been going for over 30 years, and it is always the best seafood in town. I took a group on Saturday. Legal Seafood is as dependable as they come. Great Service, accommodations for special requests, top quality food, fine wine at reasonable prices, I could go on and on. We had a party of 15 for a college graduation dinner, and we had one of the quieter spots in the restaurant so we could talk and hear each other. This is a go-to restaurant for us and will never disappoint. We have eaten almost everything on the menu at some point, and there is not one thing we wouldn't recommend. My niece thinks the fish shaped ravioli was "awesome"-so even the kids enjoyed themselves. Thank you.

Used to count on the best selection on raw bar consistently. Choices have been dwindling which is OK, but often oysters are reasonably fresh but not plump & last visit Wellfleet's were almost anemic. You should check out the source from Maine which I found to be much more plump. On days with excellent raw bar our dinner comprises of dozen after dozen with champagne and your fabulous bread... but this time we stopped after the first dozen. Seafood Antipasto (grilled- by far the best dish) was not on menu but the waiter remembered from the old menu and provided for us after talking to the kitchen. He even remembered brought out the sauce (shallot, balsamic, EVO, black pepper) when we described to him. Calamari three way was excellent.

This was our first dining experience at this Legal Sea Foods location & while we've been to numerous others where we've had great meals, it unfortunately wasn't the case here where the food served was unsatisfactory but the entree prices were pretty high. Both our seafood meals (4 stuffed shrimp $27 & small piece of grilled haddock $24) were overcooked, dry & bland. Crabmeat stuffing was mostly breading, little discernible crab. Side dishes of rice and veggies seemed haphazardly thrown onto the plate and both tasted old/stale. A cup of NE clam chowder was very salty, hid the flavor of the chowder. A little dinner roll with 1 pat of butter came with each entree. Our server couldn't provide any info about the nightly dinner specials.

We had the baked Boston scrod, and it was disappointing. We went with the recommended 2 sides of rice and seasonal vegetable, which turned out to be fried, almost burnt cauliflower. This seems like a poor combination, because everything was dry, and looked quite bland. Service was good, though.
