Auberge du Soleil is a special place with outstanding views of Napa Valley. We sat outside on the terrace and soaked in the gorgeous setting. The food was excellent. There is an extensive wine list with a sommelier very willing to help. Service started out excellent but as they got busier, they were less attentive. We had a wonderful evening.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. It was like nothing I have experienced before. The setting , service and atmosphere were wonderful but the FOOD was SUPERB! Went for lunch and will now have to go back for dinner. The portions were just perfect so you do not leave feeling full after 3 courses. Make a reservation and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic view! Our meal for four with two bottles of wine was over $1200.00. For this price and a Michellan star, one expects decent service, hot food, and help with an amazing and cumbersome wine list. We had none of the above. A few of the problems: 45 minute wait between first and second course, then food came out cold. Served flat champagne and then waited for it to be replaced a half hour later with more expensive champagne which we did not order. There was no sommelier in sight. Server forgot to call our cab and when reminded threw down the plates she was clearing and ran off. When we complained about the cold food, the server just gave us a bizarre response and there was no remedy. The food was nothing special. A tourist trap!

There are few special places in the world that can provide lasting memories of an extraordinary experience and Auberge is one of them. The six of us capped a fantastic day in Napa with dinner that although expensive, was the perfect ending to a wonderful day. The views are amazing, the food is great and the service paced perfectly. For any special occasion, or just for the special person in your life, Auberge is the place.

If you have never been go, don't even think about just do it. We went for lunch, the views off the patio is what pictures are made of. I will definitely go back.

My husband and I went to Auberge on our honeymoon. We were very lucky because it seemed like a slower night so everyone was seated outside. The view was incredible! This is not an everyday dining experience because it is quite pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Everything we ate was amazing but the pave beef was the best piece of steak I have ever eaten in my life. The staff was great as well!

We made brunch reservations to celebrate our anniversary. The hostess seated us on the veranda with a awesome view of Napa Valley. Our waiter, David, was terrific. This is truly a unique dining experience for a special occassion and we highly recommend it.

In a place as expensive and fancy as Auberge, I have pretty high expectations. It delivered in most regards: the food was very tasty, inventive while still classically inspired, used great ingredients, and the menu was nicely varied. The service was attentive and mostly detail-oriented. And, the view of Napa from the patio was absolutely breathtaking. But it fell short in a few ways - my short rib wasn't trimmed well, my wife's duck had some gristle left in it, they poured my wines too early, and the staff seemed robotic. If you have allergies, ASK - they add ingredients not listed on the menu, and expect to be given extras. Also, be aware that the house wine isn't Auberge's own, it's Rutherford Ranch. Overall, still recommended.

We dined her to celebrate our wedding anniversary during our getaway. It was a Monday & we practically had the place to our selves. I requested to sit at the rail for a sunset dinner and it was such a beautiful experience. It was windy on the valley floor & cool so I was worried about sitting outdoors. The heaters above kept us perfectly comfortable. Our waiter, Michael, made our dining experience extra special. The food was superb from the savory start all the way to the sweetest finish. Michael had the pastry chef write Happy Anniversary on our dessert plates. My glass was never empty and we were never rushed. In fact, after 2.5 hours we closed the restaurant that night. Can't wait to repeat this treat next year to celebrate our next one.

The food and service are impeccable. We have been there several times for their weekend brunch, which is a bargain at less than $60 per person for their 3 course offering. The views are to die for and combined with the very friendly service, make for a wonderful experience. We like this restaurant experience more than at The French Laundry (which is awesome, but different).

This was an amazing experience. The view was outstanding, not to mention the food too. I really wish it was as close as SF to Marin, because then I would go on a semi-regular basis. I really want to try the dinner menu. French michelin starred food and very easy to choose to make gluten free. Something for everyone and I can't imagine anyone not enjoying such a wonderful place.

From your arrival when the valet takes your car to your entry into the unassuming entry with the spectacular view, Auberge makes you feel special. Started with a perfect Bellini and soon a basket of artisianal baked goods arrives with creamery butter and lemon curd. Resist the urge to overindulge because the brunch options are enormous. Next, asparagus soup poured over dungeness crab -- what an exquisite taste! Wife enjoyed the onion tartlet. My group had blueberry pancakes (fluffy and hearty 4-stack), risotto and I loved the lobster omelet. Then, dessert smacks you over the head -- chocolate peanut cake is reminiscent of a luxury Snickers bar, while the macadamia confab was fabulous with perfectly-flavored lime meringues. Go!

We made a reservation through open table 4 weeks in advance. In the email we requested an outdoor table with a view and no tables in front of us. We arrived on time and all the tables with the best views were taken. When we asked, they said its first come first serve for tables, and for us to have a view table we needed to get there 30 minutes in advance. Given our request several weeks in advance, the restaurant should have called us and told us it was first come first serve for tables and we needed to come 30 minutes in advance. Also, they called me twice to confirm the reservation, so they had the opportunity to inform me. Very disappointed with the outcome and we had friends with us from out of state. This ruined our experience.
