Thank you for such an enjoyable experience. This was our first time visit; and, we will be coming back regularly. The Rib Eye and Filet were prepared perfectly, so tender, and rank as one of the best steaks we have ever savored. The quality of the cut of meat, the entire presentation, the service, the wine list, and attention to details were perfect. A great choice restaurant for that 'special occasion'- or to enjoy as regulars. Congrats to your staff and chef.....'very well done'. (No pun intended)

We continued a family tradition of Mother's Day Brunch but this will probably be our last year. The number of selections on the buffet was down from past years, the food was not excellent for the first time and the service was average, but the price tag was not. When we started going for this special meal we used to get a family snap shot and mom got a flower. None of this was in place in 2014. It is too bad that the only thing first class about McMahon's now is the prices.

We decided to dine at McMahon's Friday because we received an email for a surf (king crab legs) and turf special. We arrived to a band playing in the patio area. It sounded fun but we opted for indoor dinning. Meal was great. Crab legs and steak were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was Chris P. He was knowledgeable, provided great service and we enjoyed our lighthearted baseball conversation. We enjoyed the no rush, relaxing environment and will definitely return.

I feel bad for my guest that I brought all the way from El Paso. The waiter was sarcastic and gave wrong information of what was needed on describing the food. For what I spent and the rush that we were being pushed should not happen to other customers. I also should have made a statement and not left a tip. I have travelled all over the world and what you charge and the service you offer I will never take anyone back.

We paid over $250 for four people to have dinner and it was mediocre. I had family in town and we wwnt there intending for a good dinner. We sat at the table over 10 min before the server came to greet us. This whole time we did not have the wine menu so while we were looking at the menu it was rather tough to decide without seeing the wine menu. After finally ordering wine and food we waited a decent amount of time for our feed. We were their on a week night and there were only 3 tables in the dinning room. Then server forgot to bring out a salad someone had ordered with their steak and he didn't realize it until the main course came out. Someone ordered a side of Béarnaise sauce and it never came. Overpriced.

It sounds like a scene from the Anchor Man, but McMahon's offers the best of life: great steaks, fine scotch, and a nice cigar... if you so desire. Don't worry, the smoking scene is not in the center of the restaurant. The Smoke Lounge offers cigar patios for the cigar enthusiast's enjoyment. McMahon's is at the top of my list for a night out.

Met a friend for lunch at McMahon's this past Friday. We both wanted to order the Tucsonan Chicken Sandwich, but requested it served as a wrap. Should have taken a table in one of the other dining areas far away from the piano. Played VERY loud - could barely hear waiter and fellow diners. Won't make the same mistake next time. Having to practically shout when it's a dinner experience not a lounge experience. Piano should be soft and subtle creating an ambiance not overtaking the room.

The restaurant has a very nice décor and great atmosphere. They have very impressive wine selection. Appetizers, side dishes and desserts were excellent and so was the service. However, the restaurant main feature - steaks – were far from perfect, the steaks were tasty, but three out of four we ordered were over cooked. For the price they charge it was a bit disappointing.

This is a restaurant that will probably be out of business in a year. The food was good but not better than other places in town. We ordered a birthday shot of tequila. The bartender used sugar on the rim instead of salt. Then, when we sent it back, they just poured the old drink into a different glass. No way of knowing who got what drink.. We knew they used the old drinks because the tequila came back cloudy instead of clear. Laced with sugar. Very unprofessional. Oysters and firecracker shrimp were very good. Salads good. Steaks good. Cinnamon strawberries excellent. Nice place to sit at bar and have appetizers. Classy. Pricey though.

Our table of five had great meals with the exception of one. The petite filet was up there with one of the worst steaks I have bee served, tasteless and overlooked. In hindsight, I should have sent it back! We were never asked about how our food tasted, something I would expect from a pricey restaurant. The service was good but not exceptional, we were served coffee and then had to request spoons. I did mention to the busboy that my steak was not good, he just took the plate and never said a word. The other entrees were very good but I don't think I would return. I had a much better steak at Texas Roadhouse for a lot less money!!

  • They should be ashamed
    OpenTable Diner Since 2005VIP

The only good thing about our experience was the piano player. They should be ashamed of the food they offered for the price they charged. The wine list was disappointing at best. I wanted a sparkling wine and in a place like that all they had was a small bottle of a cheap sparkling. The piece of salmon they served was small although tasty. The 3 brussel sprouts in the serving of vegetables were soggy and obviously not fresh. Uch! I had the same dinner the next night in another restaurant for less money and four times the taste and satisfaction. We were visitors from out of town and I will not go there next year, if they are still in business. For a restaurant that bills itself as a first class restaurant they should be ashamed.

I made a reservation, I loved the fact there was a complimentary limousine service along with it. I didn't however, enjoy the food. First, my guests asked for their meat to be medium well, but it came to the table looking rare. Second, my sautéed spinach wasn't good at all. The last thing is that I spent over $200 on this dinner celebrating two of my guest'a birthdays but I should've gone to Texas Roadhouse for a good steak instead. The service was very good.

The overall experience wasn't bad. There where a couple things I think they should change. First, the wine list is way to large. It's not very presentable bringing me a large binder as a wine list. Second, as a guest I should never see where the cooks and servers prepare the food. They need to seperate this area from the dinning area. Between the cooks and servers talking and calling out times on the orders made the dining experience way to loud. And finally as a manager of a fine dinning resteraunt, you really need to dress the part, and this doesn't mean walking around with keys hanging off of your hip.
