My boyfriend and I had been to Brassaii once before and loved the food, atmosphere and service. So much so that we had dined there for Valentines day this year. Brassaii has a variety of fine food choices that will appeal to anyone. Everything about Brassaii is great, especially their price point. Their Valentines day 4-course menu was a great way for me to try out the different selection of foods and was the right amount of food to keep me feeling full. I am a little foodie trying out the different restaurants in the city and I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Only good things to say. Our server was great and the food was definitely worth the price. We ordered the soup, entree and side each but would have been stuffed with an entree and sharing a side.

We went for the last day of Winterlicious and had a fantastic time! The food was outstanding and so was the service. I have to make special mention of our server who graciously gave me a second helping of pasta when it was obvious that my portion looked like an appetizer next to my friend's giant lamb shank. All 3 courses were delicious. Thank you for making my experience memorable! We will definitely be back when the weather warms up to hang out on the patio.

We were there for the Winterlicious experience and were very disappointed with the quality of the main dish, especially for a restuarant of this caliber. I had the filet of sole which was tasteless and hard due to the breaded exterior. The mussel was overly chewey which is a sign that it was overcooked. My app (crab toast) and my dessert (pastry) were both delicious. My husband had the pasta dish, the pasta was hard and lacked taste. He was unimpressed with his app as there were too many roasted walnuts which took away the flavour as the balance was lost with the savory proscuitto. For his dessert, the chocolate cake did not mix well with the pineapple. The service was excellent, that is why we tipped 18% in spite of the food.

While the food was good enough, the cocktails were amazing. It took a while to come out but it was worth it. I find that I never expect great food when I go out so when I do go out, it's more for the ambiance. It's a nice place to go with friends or take a date. It was an extremely cold day and I did like the way they draped the doorway from the outside so that wind does not get in when the door is opened. The service was great, with a server even walking me to the washroom instead of pointing in the direction. It's small things like that that make the evening very enjoyable. When I go to an expensive restaurant, this is what should be expected. Otherwise, why don't I spend 1/10 of the money and go to Burger Priest for good food?

Had dinner for four at Brassaii. It came positively recommended by a few friends. Great service from start to end, good wine list. Two of us ordered off the menu and two stuck to the Winerlicious menu. Lobster appetizer was wonderful and the cheese plate at the end is a must.

Parking in the area is pricy. Nice greeting at the door. We were let down by the current menu. It seems they choose not to update the menu on their website. Most disappointing. However, the current menu was still great. If you prefer a more quiet atmosphere then book an early dinner. It picks up quickly on the weekends and gets a tad on the loud side. Overall, upper scale restaurant. Would go back again.

Recent visit was a big mistake to celebrate our friend's birthday. Was hoping to share with them how great of a place it would be. Server was no where to be found for most of the time. I don't think he understands english, hard for us to communicate and order. Food, was biggest disappointment. It was not busy but food took 45 minutes to arrive. Food choices were limited. we ordered steak- overcooked, dry, salty. When they came our steaks got switched. I was served with a medium rare steak, which was supposingly for my friend. The birthday person ordered lamb rack- super dry, tasteless. Tried to explain to server but again he didnt understand what we were saying. Half way into our meals we really just wanted to leave.

We had a very special evening planned and the entire team was fantastic. My wife and I were celebrating our 19th anniversary and they provide complementary champagne and listen to us chatting about our special rings that we had custom made. very friendly group of people and a great place to eat and still be able to chat with that special someone, a rare thing with today's loud restaurants.

While I've been to Brassaii a number of times before, I won't go again. I had a business meeting and was waiting for a client. While they had my name, my guest's name and my reservation through OpenTable, they managed to not find my reservation when she arrived, not check the dining room (where I was waiting) and sit her at another table at the other end of the restaurant. We both waited separately, in the same restaurant, for 25 minutes before we sorted out the error (without the help of the wait staff). Unacceptable.

Been to Brassaii few times. This time was very disappointing. Made reservations for 9:45pm, table was not ready till after 10:00pm. We got a table that no one else wanted...right between the bar and a walkway with very high traffic. When we got our check, I found out that they don't take debit cards so I was shown an ATM machine at the back of the restaurant where there were about 6 people lined up. We left quite disappointed.

Had a great night at Brassaii. The charcuterie, the melon salad, the halibut and beef tenderloin were amazing. Our waiter Boris was friendly, informative and attentative. The staff really cared and the menu has an interesting assortment not too ordinary and not to crazy. The melon salad was cubed in different colours each topped with different pairings such as duck, almond and powdered olive oil at the side for dipping! Amazing you have to try this. Just off Spadina and King it really is a neighbourhood gem to discover.

Two of us went for brunch. They were very accommodating of my friend's dairy allergy. We were a bit confused as to who was actually serving us...we were greeted by a woman, gave our orders to a man who proceeded to serve us the whole time and then when the bill came we paid the woman again. We hoped the tip went to the male server because he was extremely friendly and gave us great service! My one complaint would be they do not accept debit as payment! I could understand a smaller less-known restaurant not accepting debit but come on - for a restaurant like Brassaii to only accept credit and cash is ridiculous.

The ambiance was good. Had an energetic vibe. Service was good although we were given a "complimentary" glass of the bubbly towards the end of our meal and ended paying a nominal fee of $1.00 a glass. Not about the money but when were given a glass of champagne as "complimentary" I would assume it would be at no cost to us. Also we felt a little rush and could not have a decent conversation as waiters kept coming to our table. Almost like trying to shoo us as fast as they can to set up the next seating. I don't mind great service but it was kinda annoying to say the least.

You can tell the food is made with a lot of care and thought. Each element was prepared separately and crafted together perfectly on a plate to complement each other. Unfortunately the service was not as sophisticated. Our waiter was somewhat arrogant, unaccommodating and seemed to not be very knowledgeable. At some point in the night he traded off and a new waiter came in with the bill (before we were done). At this price point, they should really try and get some quality service in place..... particularly considering the great food.

My wife and I thought about trying out this restaurant during Summerlicious. The appys were the best part of the meal. The mains were ok. Nothing wrong with them, just ok. As well, the desserts were good but nothing exciting and writing home about. The ambiance of Brassaii is energetic. Very large restaurant. Inside decor is very lovely. We sat outside on the patio area and it was fun sitting outside along with the other patios in the area. Outside decor looks great with lots of lounge areas, bar tables, and seats. Great for groups of friends. I may come back again. The service was great, no complaints at all. However, the food.....even though there was nothing truly wrong with it, was lacking pizzaz and culinary creativity.
