The cusine was what I was looking for in Italian dining. A little mix up with the order of food, soup/salad served before the appetizers. The presentation of the plates were excellent, as was the temperature of the various dishes. The entrees selected were seasoned exceptionally well, with hints of various seasonings. Overall the experience was very good. The decor was very appropriate for the type of restaurant.

Once again, a highly recommened experience.

We had late reservations at 8:30PM and I had requested booth seating if available. When we were seated, they put is in an awfully tight table around others. There were 3 booth tables open. I was surprised because usually when I reserve on open table, I get better service, but not this time. The food was wonderful as always though. Thanks!

We had a reservation for 7 PM, and with dozens of empty tables, they put us at a table next to the kitchen door. When we asked to move, they put us in a very croweded spot with no elbow room - but right where we could see dozens of empty tables. It was very disappointing and a little rude. It also was very loud, so I wouldn't go there again if I wanted to be able to talk to friends and expect to have a decent conversation.

The hostess and manager were very accommodating, only 4 out of 6 of us arrived on time, the other two came at least 30 minutes later. We were still seated on time. The wait service was mediocre... We have to continuously ask for refills on our dish and beverage refills were few and far between. My last experience was completely different... we didn't have to ask for any food or beverage refills, they just kept coming!

Fun restaurant for groups. Good Italian food at reasonable prices. Portions are exceedingly large. Meals for 2 are: 1 Appetizer, 1 Salad, and 1 entree. Service is better than the food itself. Fodd quality is high.If you are going just for quality Italian food, there are better places to go. If you are going for good Italian with large portions and excellent service, then this is the place to go. They handle large groups better than most restaurants and make it fun.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 4/13/2008
Maggiano's seems to have gone downhill since we last dined there a year ago. It probably fits its "Little Italy" brand, but nowadays younger diners often want a few slightly less heavy, more healthy options instead of the overwhelming selection of heavy, rich and meaty pasta with no veggies. Additionally, there were some little flies which actually landed in our wine (which was quickly replaced), and the din of the families and many kids did not make for the most relaxing meal.

As far as chain restaurant Italian foods goes, this is as good as it gets. Service is always super fast and polite, it's loud but manageable and the portions are huge (which is a good things as far as I'm concerned). The only problem I have with the place is their policy on walk-ins as opposed to people that have reservations. I had a reservation, for which I was 15 minutes early, and their hostesses decided to sit walk-ins that got there before us so we ended getting seated a half hour after our reserved time (45 minutes of wait time). The manager made up for it by giving us a complimentary app but it really angered me. That being said, I love this place and highly recommend it.

I have used Open Table on different occasions and in different locations. This was the first time I wasn't seated within 15 minutes of arriving and in fact wited for about 45 minutes for a table while others (without reservations) were seated ahead of us. while our server was very good, overall the service and delivery of food was slow. We have eaten at other Maggiano's and found this one lacking. We would not eat here again as the Norhtern VA/DC area has many other choices. Too bad, as the Maggiano's in Richmond far outcalsses this location.

After a couple members of my party were arguing over whether our arrival right about at the reservation time was the reason for being seated late (restaurant was crowded, but that was expected) the staff must have picked up on it and brought a special appetizer - much appreciated since they were arguing about who in the party was responsible for making us late rather than it really being the restaurant's problem. But the good service quieted them down and everyone enjoyed the meal.
