Set up in the mountain, your experience starts with a powered cat sleigh ride up! Have lockers to put your coats and warm stuff so you're not cluttered at the table, very nice feature! Excellent 5 course meal, great wine and excellent service! Just an overall fun and romantic experience. Worth the money.

I took the love of my life up to this restaurant and had the experience I hoped for. The sleigh ride up was fun and the sleigh host was entertaining and delightful. We were immediately seated and had a talented and personable waiter. We were two tables away from the fellow playing guitar in the restaurant. He was a superb musician and the experience for us was magical. The five-course meal was fantastic. We ate about 1/2 of each course, and accordingly were able to make it to the dessert course where we enjoyed the fantastic desserts. The whole experience was perfectly executed and efficient. Word to the wise thought: make sure you KNOW when the last bus leaves the bottom of the hill. We just missed it. Not fun.

We went to Beano's for a birthday celebration and to off a week-long ski vacation in the Vail area. Everything about the evening was fantastic. One small criticism would be the young men accompanying guests in the sleigh. The constant loud banter was unnecessary.

One of the best and most unique dining experiences I've had, starting with the cat-pulled sleigh ride to the cabin, which is located mid-mountain at Beaver Creek (try to sit in the front of the sleigh to see the village lights below and keep out of the wind; it can get pretty cold on the ride up). The cozy setting with a big stone fireplace couldn't be more special and the five-course prix-fixe meal is fit for the fussiest foodies. Our servers, Nick and Rick, were very knowledgeable and attentive. For instance, we wanted a hot drink to warm up when we sat down but the ones on the menu were too sweet, so Rick fetched the bartender who suggested a hot tottie. It was perfect. At $115 per person Beano's is not cheap, but it's well worth it.

We loved the idea of a sleigh ride to dinner which was fun. This one was very expensive. The wine list was extensive and had crazy prices. Very few wines under $150. The menu choice was limited. The food was pathetic. Over cooked, no flare, fatty and very disappointing.

We had a wonderful experience at Beano's Cabin. Beginning with the fun sleigh ride in the cold and snow, huddled under the warm blanket. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was over the top good, atmosphere was extra special. The singer was great and just added to this special evening. We loved having a night cap in front of the fire while waiting on the sleigh back Dow the mountain. Overall a fantastic evening and must be on your "to do" list while in Beaver Creek!

Its my 3rdtimeto Beanos ( 1st for my husband) and I still think this is a great choice for a trip to the mountains. It's pricey but for 4 courses and the ride to the top, I think its pried fairly . It is a lot of food so a 3 course option would be great. Great wine list and the servers are professional and friendly

We have had a house in the valley for years and never tried Beno's. We were not told about open-air sleigh so everyone froze to death going to and coming back from the cabin! If we had been told we could have dressed appropriately. When we arrived and found that a 5 course meal was the only option we all said the same thing, that's way too much food!!! And it was. The price for all the courses was way more than we would like to spend. In total, over $125 p/person w/o wine! Better communication would have been nice, we won't be back!

Whenever we visit Beaver Creek or Vail, we be sure to set one night aside for a trip to Beano's. We love the ride up the mountain on the snowcat, and we try to get the early sleigh in the winter so that we can see the "alpenglo." There are amazing views from the top, and sometimes you may even see wildlife. Once at the cabin, the food is always phenomenal. Whether we choose something we can't get every day at home--like the elk--or a simple pork tenderloin, it is always the best we have ever had, anywhere.

Having looked forward to this special dining experience, our spirits were a little dampened by the swirling snow and limited views going up the mountain in the snow-cat pulled sleigh. While that approach is very practical, I can't say it enhances the romantic character of the concept. Once at Beano's, however, the ambiance and service was excellent. We had a party of eight and everyone was effusive in the reviews of their meal. The food really was excellent! The sleigh ride down the mountain was more enjoyable as the stars were out and there was less swirling snow being kicked up by the snow-cat. All-in-all, it was a wonderful experience.

We had a good experience but for the price, it is just ok. I would not recommend it for people (like us) with young kids that did a full day of ski school as the multi coarse meal takes awhile. The kid menu isn't for picky eaters but I called in advance and they made mac and cheese, chicken tenders and fries for our 4yo. The sled ride was very cold. My overall note is that this is something to do once or save $500 (family of 4, with wine) and go to the Dusty Boot for a great filet for $34.

  • A Great Idea That Went 'Downhill"

A sleigh ride with local tales told in the midst of snowfall. Wonderful, live music. An engaging waiter to review the menu. A delectable 5 course menu. Once dinner was served, it was 'downhill'. We saw the waiter again when presenting the check. Dinner service was hectic, with plate removal attempted by servers before last bites without a pleasantry. We could not attract a server to have our pork cooked more. As with others, once seated for 90 minutes and still enjoying dessert [we had to ask for coffee], we were graciously offered a sleigh in 10 minutes. Tables were turned within minutes. It's a fantastic idea offering memorable food and dinner music. For reasonably attentive service inside the Cabin, there are other restaurants to enjoy.

Not so much for kids. As an adult, i can appreciate the food and the interesting mix of flavors the chef has developed, but to bring children along, they will not appreciate the food as the adult will. For instance, my younger daughter observed that the only menu item she would find palatable was the prime rib. Unfortunately, even though she asked that it be well done, it came to the table rare. I wanted to send it back to be cooked more, but my husband did not. She did not enjoy the meal very much. Although, the adults in the group loved it! The ride in the sled was nice, but be sure to wear something warm. I lived riding back down the mountain and viewing the stars.....it was magical looking up to see so many twinkling.

After a cold open air sleigh ride up, you walk in to a quintessential rustic cabin to a blazing fire and warm welcome. Once seated, our server explained the menu and highlighted where the restaurant would make menu accommodations for the kids in our party. The butternut squash soup was outstanding, followed by their wedge salad (simple ingredients done amazingly well). We followed that with elk tartar which was ok, but in all honesty wasn't the best I've had. The Wagyu steak was delicious as was the molten chocolate cake. My only criticism was that the courses came out too fast so you got full fast and couldn't truly savor the meal that night; however we really enjoyed the leftovers the next day! It's a cold ride back at the end.

Beano's receives a great deal of press, leading us to believe it would be an unparalleled dining experience. It was on our bucket list. Glad we tried it, but decided the experience did not warrant a return. The restaurant was quite noisy given the high ceilings and hard (log) surfaces. There was also a 15 person corporate group dining in a side room. I expected they would be noisy, but was disappointed that the separate room did not help temper the noise level. The food was a mixed bag. Loved the butternut squash soup, dinner rolls, my filet mignon entree. Not impressed with the salad, salmon carpacchio appetizer, the very small portion of CO leg of lamb entree, the wild rhubarb dessert. Shuttle ride down too jostling after dinner.

The wagon ride is not worth the cost. It goes back along the road and then past major ski area construction and maintenance facilities. Ride horses for an hour for the full effect - then arrive at beautiful Beano's Cabin for a truly memorable, gourmet meal. Each member of our group of 6 ordered something different & no one was disappointed. We watched deer graze past as we enjoyed cocktails on the deck. Then after dinner, the moonless, clear sky offered a terrific view of the milky way and thousands of stars. A great evening.
