This is the second time my husband and I have dined at McCormick & Schmick's in Beavercreek. Both times we were disappointed in one of the entrees. No flavor and overcooked. I have eaten at the McCormick's in Cinci with much better results. Not sure I will return.

We had visited McCormick and Schmick's in Indianapolis and enjoyed that experience. We wanted a get away location that would have good food and ambiance. We were not disappointed with the Beavercreek location. We were impressed with all aspects of our dining experience and would certainly return.

Because an additional person showed up they sat us in the bar area which would have been fine had we had a waiter other than the bartender. He had to wait on us in between making drinks--was slow in serving food and someone else brought out the main course and did not bring one lady her food. One of the guests had to get up and go to the bar for additional bread plates, silver and napkins. Also he did not know what the desserts were and had to get someone else to tell us what they were. In the future if they sit people in the bar area they should be sure they have a waiter/waitress for the table especially since the restaurant was not extremely busy. I was disappointed in the service but would return again for the food.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. We visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was our first visit and we both agreed we would be back and would highly recommend it to our friends as a special occasion restaurant. I do have to say special occasion as it is definely too expensive for regular dining - but other than that I can honestly say it was top notch! The food was excellent, the service was excellent. All in all well worth the price tag.

When we were sat we were put in a too well lit back room with 2 large parties. We were the only 2 person table in that room, while the other 2 tables had at least 10 people sitting at those table. The room was too loud and too bright for a nice night out. We asked to be moved and were moved without a problem. The presentation was of the food was nice and the food it's self was good but but not as good as it could be based on the menu prices. The crab cake appitizer was over cooked and very dark brown, to be honest I was surprised it was served. Service was ok. The server should not have served us the crab cake and made a decision to get a new crab cake. I would go back to make sure it wasn't just an off night.

We went for my wife's 40th birthday. It was our 2nd visit to M&S. The 1st was in Houston and it was excellent! The ambiance here was nice and the waitress was very good. But the food was rather disappointing. The appetizers was good. My wife had the seafood newburg and it was quite good. But I was very disappointed with my etouffee. It was far too salty. I couldn't eat after the 2nd bite. They redid the food and I could tell that all they did was to water it down. It was watery and still too salty. I couldn't eat it. I finally ordered another dish: salmon saute. It was better. The waitress told us that the manager would speak with us, but he/she never came. What really upset me was that I had a stomach upset that whole night! Disappointing.

Overall, we really enjoyed our dining experience. Just a couple of small things...1) The quantity of vegetables my wife received with her salmon was very small; 2) At the end I forgot to give the waitress my points card, and then asked her if she could run it through. She came back and said it could not be done afterwards. I said I would speak to the manager to see if he knew of a way. Instead, she went to the manager and he fixed the problem. Seems like that's something she could have done in the first place. My perception, was once she realized we had a coupon, she was not going to go out of her way to help (however, that may be a misperception).

We went to our first McCormick and Schmick's years ago in Oregon and loved it as we did the one in Columbus... so when we heard we were going to have our very own right near us we were thrilled... the food has ALWAYS been delicious. We have been to this one a number of times but not on a Saturday night and they were BUSY which may account for the less than wonderful service we were used to before this. Everyone on the staff was more than friendly BUT to be honest between the noise and slower service in taking our orders it took away from the visit this time.

After two of ordered wine, the waiter suggested we purchase a bottle, so we could each have a second serving. An 8 oz serving was enough for both of us, yet we had extra to drink. It was a fairly expensive wine, so the extra cost was not really needed.

The only disappointment I had was in my details regarding the reservation was I needed a quiet table since I was giving one of my employees' their review. We were seated right by the front door at a table out in the middle. It made it difficult to converse during the actual review. I did enjoy the food and atmosphere. Our waiter did a nice job although not personal.

This was our first visit....my birthday. Service was good. Food was good, however, I was very disappointed with portion size. I ordered the halibut special. It was a small, round piece no more than about 2" in diameter. No vegetable. For $25 I didn't get very much. I ate part of my wife's atlantic char (no vegetable) to avoid leaving the restaurant still hungry! To his credit, the waiter did offer a free birthday dessert. Mitchell's and Bonefish prices less and entrees include garlic mashed potatoes and a tasty vegetable. Better value. Thank you for asking for feedback. Ron Cash

After moving from Florida to Ohio, I didn't think I'd ever find a seafood restaurant that would compare to what I was accustom to on the Gulf of Mexico. McCormick & Schmick has become my new favortite place to go. Our most recent visit was a 10 person dinner for my son and daughter-in-law, who are both in the military and both going to the mid-east very soon. Our server, Lindsey, treated each of us as if it were a dinner for 2. The food was excellent and everyone left with a smile. It was a perfect evening - down to the personalized menu.

It was very good food but you really have to be in the mood for seafood and a big fan of it to truly enjoy it. Overall I felt like the meal was well prepaired and an extra element taken on presentation but for the same money I think Id rather have had a big steak somewhere else.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/28/2008
Great restaurant if you get a private booth. If not, you are really in a loud, chaotic table in the middle of the room. It makes such a difference! First time dining here we were in a booth that gives you the choice of closing off the curtains. Even with them open, it was a quiet, intimite dinner. This time, we were placed at a table, and conversation was difficult, people were constantly walking next to us, and servers were always bringing food right near us. Thus, it did not feel like a fine dining experience. The food is great - very fresh seafood with a lot of options. The location is good right on the square at the Greene. Parking is difficult, but they offer valet (well worth it!).

Overall, I liked it. The bread is wonderful! I ordered crabcakes. They were a little overcooked, but the waiter did bring me out another one that was not so crispy. It was better but it was actually a little cold inside. My little boy's french fries were cold, but he usually doesn't eat them anyway, so I didn't say anything. I liked the atmosphere and the reservations on line. They seated us right away. Thank You.
