   We got there and it was closed! I don’t know whose fault this was, the restaurant or open table but it was upsetting. We were going out to celebrate our anniversary. Luckily we got into Alberto’s and had a wonderful time.

   it was awkward at the beginning because the open table app allowed me to make a 4:30pm reservation, however upon arriving, they told us the bar was open at 4:30 and the restaurant at 5. Be aware of this. Seems late for a Saturday night to be 5pm start. After the awkwardness, the bartender went back to make sure the kitchen could take us early. they did. The owner, Tim, came out to apologize for the confusion. Very nice guy. As far as the food, it was very good. I rarely give 5 stars. To me, 5 stars is an exceptional rating. Takes a lot to reach that for me. 4 is very good. 3 is good on this app. Appetizer, calamari with banana peppers. The Calamari was cooked perfectly. not chewy, crisp outside. simple spicy flavor with an airline sauce. I ordered the coffee rubbed pork tenderloin ... crusty outside and juicy and moist inside. was able to cut with my butter knife. mashed and carrots were also very good. My wife ordered a braised rib. she loved it. The desert menu is quite limited. we shared a simple strawberry shortcake. the strawberries were previously frozen, so they were not fresh. but still, the simple taste was a nice ending. The coffee could use a change of brand. The coffee was very harsh and bitter. This quality of food needs a gentler and smoother blend. The bottles took away the pleasant agyer taste of the meal. Was a bit harsh. Still, the decor, ambiance, friendliness of the owner, and quality of the food were a memorable meal and pleasant evening.

   First visit, sat outside (which added to the noise level, as expected). Service was excellent. Our 2 entrees were exceptionally good: barbeque shrimp wrapped in bacon, & scallop carbonara. We'll be going back, for sure.

    The salmon was excellent, really enjoyed it. Service was very good only downside are all the motor cycles driving down the street. But it’s to be expected as it’s main st in Hyannis.
