A word from The Restaurant at Alderbrook
Our location brings out the best in fresh local seafood, dry aged beef, world-class wines and waterfront views - making The Restaurant at Alderbrook a destination in itself.

The interior setting of The Restaurant at Alderbrook takes its inspiration from the outdoors with warm colors of chocolate brown and sage green representing the gardens and lawn of the resort. Floor-to-ceiling windows and multi-levels amplify views of the brilliant shore and snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains.

The cuisine showcases local seafood harvested from Puget Sound and Hood Canal. After all, our shores are encrusted with oysters, our docks lined with mussels, and our sea teems with salmon.

My fiance' and I had a great weekend away at the Alderbrook for Valentine's Day. The restaurant has amazing food and the service was so friendly. Our waitress, Bethany, was so accommodating! Even though they don't really have any competition for 100 miles, the service here doesn't miss. We're looking forward to coming back again for another special occasion.

This is such a lovely pleace. Our third time having a meal and we have spent the night as a gift from our children. It is peaceful, the wait staff are kind and friendly and attend to their customers well without being in your face. The water views are lovely and the location althought out a ways is a nice drive to get to. I would love to have any meal here a couple times a month. Oh the food? Top notch, speaking as a foodie and with a exec chef and my dining partner... he was very impressed. That is a huge PLUS with us. He is often times not happy with his meal. :-)

Disappointed in food quality which surprised given positive past experiences. Singleness crab cake lacked flavor - hardly a crab taste at all. Trout was okay - a little dry - and farro/ rice was gummy, tough. Bar was great - nice Hendricks G&T. Waitress seemed unnatural as if she was reading from a script when conversing with us. Relax. Food was tasty, prepared with care. Oysters were crazy good and local. Only down side is some of the 2 person tables are really placed awkwardly around these large wooden pillars, with the "idea" of giving you the best view, but practically to squeeze you into a small space.

You can't refute the convenience of dining at this restaurant while staying at Alderbrook. However, the food is no more than mediocre at best. We started with the kale and pomegranate apple salads and while they were fine, there was nothing truly notable about them. Then we had the seafood cocktail, along with sea scallops and pan fried oysters for dinner. Average in taste and presentation. I felt the seafood cocktail was slathered in too much cocktail sauce and it didn't highlight the freshness of the seafood. The oysters were a bit greasy and didn't have much seasoning. For dessert, we shared the creme brulee and Olympic mountain ice cream. The creme brulee was too thick and the sugar coating tasted bitter. The ice cream was fine.

It was not my first experience eating at the Alderbrook's restaurant, but as usual, it was a wonderful dining experience. I went for New Year's Eve and there was live music in the bar, an excellent menu for the holiday - in addition to their regular menu (which is what I ordered from anyway!), and to top it off, to my surprise, they had for the holiday a party/movie/arts crafts room for children so I was able to enjoy the dinner in adult company (while my kid had her own nook of fun things to do for the hour). However, I have dined for breakfast and dinner with groups that had children there and it was very kid friendly. A wonderful experience for the entire family always, delicious food, great views, and great service.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary with a stay at Alderbrook and many meals in their restaurant. We received fantastic service from waitress Bethany, who was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu (and food in general). The staff catered to our many special requests as well. We received welcoming service from Rosario at the front of the house who took great care of our reservation requests, amazing drinks and service from Elizabeth and Megan at the bar, and fantastic meal service from Bethany & staff. Cheers!

The dining experience at the Alderbrook Resort is extraordinary. The restaurant is a gem; the staff of the resort and the restaurant are exceptional. Everyone seems committed to making guests --from couples to kiddos-- feel relaxed and special. The service, the location, the attention to detail are all so good and so friendly, you may not want to tell anyone. But it's too special to keep secret.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a one night stay, our first time at the resort. Service was warm, professional and knowledgeable; food was wonderful. We tried the grilled oysters (very fresh and flavorful), and the soup du jour, a rich and creamy cauliflower soup that actually celebrated cauliflower! My husband swooned over the duck carbonara - incredibly rich sauce and tender, moist duck. My only nit is that my chicken entree was a little dry. Our server surprised us with a complimentary creme brûlée for dessert, as an anniversary treat. We were so stuffed we didn't think we'd manage it, but it was so creamy it turned out not to be a problem. Thank you, Alderbrook - we'll be back!

Our overall experience was great. The only complaint is noise level; in fact, the decibels of noise were so high that I had to remove my hearing aids for the duration of our visit to be able to stand it! But our wait person was wonderful; at our request, she did ask the very noisy people waiting for their table who were literally hanging over our banquette to please move over to the bar -- they were actually shouting to each other, but I'm sure the whole room could hear them! And of course, the view from Alderbrook was fabulous, watching the sunset over the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains!

Nice local resort restaurant with a great view, usually with great food. Have eaten ther for several holidays over the past three years. However this Thanksgiving, they were over booked with not enough wait staff so service was impersonal and slow. Fixed menu was good, but food was cold. We have been here a few times for lunch and it seemed a bit pricey but nice open feeling when eating and very good food to good food level. This time for T-day, tables were shoved together so we heard and almost felt our fellow diners. We had three feet from the next table. So it felt more like a diner than an experience for the higher than diner prices. Not sure if we will return. The waitress was friendly but my husbands orders for food became mine. The service was fair but we still gave an okay tip due the person working on a holiday. We felt for the couple on our one side shoved up against the wall, under a big TV on the wall and my hubby ruining any view they had so that the waitress could go by.

A group of long time friends and I were able to get away for the weekend. We had lovely accommodations and scenic views at Alderbrook Inn. Our dinner took a long time to arrive at the table, but it was worth the wait. We all shared a taste with everyone at the table. I had the delicious ravioli special with smoked mozzarella and shredded beef. Fresh herbs in ricotta is just one example of the complimentary fresh flavors. Another friend ordered the scrumptious scallops. Texture and taste -- perfect!! The halibut was also delicious. I would have given 5 stars if the food arrived sooner. However, we were not in a rush to go anywhere so it just gave us more time to talk and enjoy the lovely views.

I thought this would be a great place to take my spouse for our anniversary. I liked the convenience of reserving our table online. I expected somewhat better service at our table. The waitress was very nice and polite but did not take our order properly. I ordered for my wife and myself. i ordered an appitizer, clam chowder, and the crab cake for the two of us. I felt there was too much time between services. Each service had a great apperance. When the waitress brought the clam chowder she only brought a service for me. i odered wine also. I asked for a red wine, something fruity. instead the waitress brought us something that was dry. They need to know their wines or maybe send someone who knows the wine list. Over all it was good.

Our server was able to answer all our questions and our food came in a fair amount of time. there was a mess up on the type of drink we ordered and when we told her she immediately took it back to the bar to be fixed. the problem was it took almost 15min to get another one back and we were almost done eating. at the end she was gone for a very long period of time and all we wanted was the check and to go back to our room.
