The Lagunitas Brewing Company, the OG of IPA that has a rich, mischievous history of hop-forward and innovative craft brews, is located at  2607 W. 17th St. Chicago TapRoom & Beer Sanctuary lies within the 300,000-square-foot brewery in Douglas Park. Chicagoans and beer enthusiasts alike can visit this top destination sip on fresh local brews, all while taking in sweeping 360-degree views of the brewing operation.

Wander into the tasting room, known as The Basement, to sample fresh brews or get rowdy with an oversized Jenga game and drum set. Stroll up to the main TapRoom surrounded by glass to catch live jams on stage, tune into a game, get hooked up with a brewery tour, or venture out onto the network of catwalks 26 feet above the brewery for a unique bird's-eye view of beer production, and pull up a comfortable stool to kick back at our large wraparound bar.

As much as we love our four-and three-legged friends, pets are not allowed.

Restaurant was closed on day of reservation. Open table needs to make sure restaurant is open when accepting reservations

Atmosphere and beer are great. Games to play and staff is super nice. Great kid friendly brewery!! Dive bar food which was disappointing.

For a tap room they do not do flights and almost all of the choices of beer were out of stock. I have been there prior to their closing and I realize they just opened but they need to have more choices to have people try the beer.

Odd experience on a recent Sunday. Hours listed as N-9p. Arrived at 5:25pm. Menu said same hours. No one - not security, bartender, etc. - mentioned different hours/early closure. Ordered a beer and an app. At 6 pm, 80% thru each, we were approached by a security guard at the bar, handed plastic cups (with no instructions), and told "we are closed". No other details. We had not heard ANY word about this. Two security people and two bar staff had every chance to tell us this. They could post it on the entrance door when this is different than what is stated online AND the posted menu. We paid and left. Left a negative impression. And the space, the beer, and the food were fine or better.

Not that many food options because most of the food was out of order. The server was friendly but not really helpful. Had to go to the bar to grab a check.
