Alla Famiglia has been delighting local and traveled guests in this very same location for over two decades. This "diamond in the rough" is conveniently located on the hilltop of Pittsburgh's South Side. Boasting a fine dining atmosphere, its family owned and operated, and promises to deliver a consistent product with every visit. You will be greeted and treated like family, as you enjoy homemade scratch Italian specialties, an award winning wine list, and complex scratch cocktails. Dine in an old world atmosphere under paddle fans, exposed brick, antiquities from all around the world. Six unique and interestingly decorated dining rooms comprises the character of this institution which started with just 8 tables, 25 years ago. Choose from daily provisioned fishes and exotics from the sea, dry and wet aged Prime beef, tender milk fed veal, and homemade maccheroni are just some of the choices you will have to select from. Crown the evening with our pastries prepared on site.

alla famiglia is not just an Italian restaurant, it is an experience! the money is well worth it. we had multiple things on the menu, all of them delicious. you will have leftovers for DAYS-go hungry!!

I recently dined at Alli Famiglia Italian Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience! Our server, Daisy, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The Filet Gorgonzola was the best filet I've had in the Pittsburgh area, surpassing even the upper-class steakhouses. It was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The New York Strip was another highlight; it was a giant serving, cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. The Seafood Diavola was spectacular, showcasing fresh ingredients and bold flavors. We also enjoyed the pasta and salad, both of which were delightful. To top off our meal, we indulged in the Raspberry Tiramisu and Limoncello Crème Brûlée—both were amazing and the perfect sweet ending to our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Alli Famiglia for anyone looking for fantastic Italian cuisine. I can't wait to return!

What a great dinner we had! I have to say the service the food, everything exceeded my expectations! I wanted to treat my parents to a special dinner, it was my dad’s birthday and my mom found out she was cancer free! They gave us a champagne toast on the house and desserts for both! I have to say thank you for such a wonderful evening!!!

Wow! This place is an experience. Come hungry and bring friends. I would recommend reservations. Impeccable food and service. Table side Cacio e pepe was amazing (I realize it isn’t a complicated dish - but super fresh tastes best).

Five of us dined at the restaurant on Wednesday and we all absolutely loved our meals and the experience. Although I have been to the restaurant many times over the years since they opened, it never disappoints. The service is stellar. The food is delicious. Clearly so much care is taken with everything. It’s hard to rate things such as value since the restaurant is admittedly very pricey, and we certainly don’t need the kind of portions that they give (for us 3 times what we can eat), but for what you get it is certainly worth the price. It’s funny, but over the years this restaurant does not seem as expensive as it used to since every other restaurant has raised their prices enormously and this one has not. Whatever the case - everyone who works there seems to take a tremendous amount of care and pride in what they’re doing, and it shows
