Chef Ali Mesghali’s love of cooking began while growing up in Esfahan, Iran and Los Angeles, California. This interest grew to become a passion and a career after Ali moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In the kitchen, as well as in the dining room, Ali is known for his pursuit of perfection, his intensity and a love for what he does. This unending aspiration for perfection has been instrumental in establishing the standard for Persian cuisine in Atlanta. Rumi’s never disappoints. Food is always delicious; their labneh to die for. Our server Luisean was very attentive and prompt even down to helping us with parking validation. It’s a place with good energy!

I've been a separate location before and was excited to the location at Colony Square, and it did not disappoint. Very good sized portions for lunch, and I'll be going back. Service was amazing!

Food and drinks were excellent as usual. Was also noisier than usual that day. The scallops do underperformed a little. Scallops were a bit tough. Wouldn't order that dish again. I tried the roasted potatoes with yogurt sauce for the first time, and it was delicious. And of course, anything you can dip the bread in is fantastic.

Really great meal with terrific service from Kayla (sp?). Only complaint was the noise level, but the days of intimate, quiet dining are long gone in America. Everything else was outstanding!!

Amazing ambiance, our table steward was impressively knowledgeable, guided us through our meal Selection to make it as authentic as possible to a Persian experience. We ordered the classic hummus, however, the mushroom version looked appetizing. The kibbeh was a hit, and the chicken kabobs were juicy and fluffy. The Turkish martini espresso was on the creamier side with a stronger flavor, I absolutely loved. We will recommend to our community visiting.
