We haven't been here in quite some time. This was where our families met for the first time, 14 years ago. Going back was special for us. The wait staff wished us a happy anniversary I don't know how many times, so the night was very special. The food was excellent, and the view was spectacular. I had the fillet and shrimp combo, my wife had the bay scallops, and both were prepaired just the way we liked them. We even got to keep the menu's of our night out. Thanks for an excellent evening.

The superb view of the river, boats slowly passing by and the restaurants subtle nautical theme is soothing and perfect for a romantic evening. We have visited many restaurants in the area and have to say the Chart House has the best wait staff we have encountered. My wife had the Coconut Shrimp which was cooked to perfection, and I had the Prime Rib and Shrimp which was outstanding. It was a perfect evening.

Our prime rib we ordered Medium Rare came well done, had to send it back. This was the second time we have had problems with our orders there. Last time was Mother's day when they ran out of steaks and asked members of our party to change their orders. They accept AAA for 10% discount but watch how they take it off. We had a gift certificate this time and they took off the gift certificate first then the 10% discount so they did not discount the whole meal. This restaurant caters to the affluent and forgets that there are some of us that would like to sample their menu but have to count our pennies to survive. Thanks

    Dined on 7/7/2008
Went to Chart House to celebrate husband's birthday and stated in my note to MD. Was seated at a window seat, our server used to be a manager at a Perkins Restaurant. He kept reminding my husband he has a complimentary mudpie... I thought that was suppose to be the "surprise" at the end?? Overall the food is good, the service is not at the same level as the food. Since it is one of the few higher end restaurant in Melbourne, we will return for special occasions. I would not recommend Melbourne Chart House for a quiet romantic dinner except for may be the view. The noise level is pretty high.

When my father was alive, the Melbourne Chart House was his favorite restaurant, especially for special occasions. I took my nephew there to celebrate his being Valedictorian for his high school graduation. It brought back wonderful memories. The food and service were as excellent as always. We got a table by the window as requested. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We were there for our annual 4th of July trip to Melbourne and always eat there due to their proximity to a great fireworks display. Will be back in town for New Years and wish they did something special - which they told us they don't. Too bad.....

We had a wonderful experience. I went to Chart Houses in CT. many times. They were wonderful. I am not sure if you are the same outfit. We are very surprised to see such upscale dining in this area. Our waitress/server was exceptional and the food was excellent. I had the specials on her suggestion. They were superb. Wonderful wine list. Great view. We are so pleased to have tried the Chart House. It was our 1st anniversary. You are more expensive than our usual night out which is usually Ruby Tuesday's and I always get the salad bar. I can't wait to come back. Thanks so much.

I grew up going to the Chart House in Hilton Head Island. Now that I live in Melbourne, I've been to this one three times, and overall really enjoy it. This last time, though, the service was sub-par. -To begin with we had to wait about 15 minutes even though we had reservations. -The waitress was great, but I think she was just way too busy. It was a crowded night, and I believe that she had too many tables. -For a restaurant of this caliber, I expect not to have to reuse a fork. We were given two forks, and had an appetizer, salads, and dinner. I dropped one fork, and had to ask twice just to get another one.

Chart House is a great place to go! It was our 38th Wedding Anniversary - the menu's had a message printed on them congratulating us on the 38th Anniversary - a very nice touch that was totally unexpected! We had an outstanding Server!! I have always thought very highly of Chart House since my first visit to one in San Juan, Puerto Rico several years ago.

The reservation request was flawless and our table was ready on our arrival. Valet parking (not optional) was efficient. Our waiter was well trained, completely professional, and friendly. At the time this Chart House opened we lived directly across the Indian River, and we ate there regularly. Our experience with Chart House restaurants goes back to the first month that the one in Coronado, CA opened in what had been the boat house of the Del Coronado hotel, when the menu was short, burned into bread boards, and male waiters. We have eaten at many of the Chart Houses on both coasts, and have never had a bad exerience.

We were seated right away and the service was outstanding. I was disappointed, however, that my father ordered the prime rib and it was the fattiest piece of meat we'd had ever seen. I'm surprised that the kitchen felt it was suitable to actually send out. My father was too polite to send it back, but I felt badly for him that we all got great looking meals and his was so bad. Otherwise, we had a great time.

I have been going to the Chart House for over 20 years. I have always enjoyed the food and scenery. It has become increasingly expensive, so I only go there for special days.I have been to the one in Baltimore and have also enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I wish that the salad bar was included in the meal, just like it used to be years ago or that a small salad would be included with the meal. The side portions are too large for a small person like me.

My husband enjoyed his dinner, but I was very disappointed. My Prime Rib had no flavor and my potatoes were cold. Of course our waitress was no where to be found, so I wasn't able to send my plate back. This was our third experience at the Chart House and I'm positive it will be our last!

I chose this resturant becuase I enjoyed the Chart House while visiting Savannah, Georgia. Michelle was our waitress and to be honest she was not the most friendly waitress we have ever encountered. My girlfriend asked serveral questions about different dishes because this was her first time at the Chart House and Michelle seemed short with her responses and kept stating everything was good on the menu. She made it a point to state several times she had worked there for 20 years, which really wasn't our concern. She seemed more focused on the large party seated next to our table. We ran out of water twice before she could return to our table. I did tip her 15.00 and to spend 93.83 at this establishment she could have provided better service

If I was paying for the ambiance and view alone it would have bean an ok destination. Sadly my dinner was A MICRO PORTION OF WELL PREPARED SEA BASS with some over cooked broccoli. I had a side orde of asparagas which was not trimmed enough.was stringy and had little flavor. I was there with my wife for our anniversary and I must say we were somewhat dissapointed with the food. We found all in all there was little value for our money in the whole experience especially the amount of wine we were given as we ordered wine by the glass A nice view only goes so far and living in the Ft Lauderdale area for 23 years we have seen some great views. It is always the food that brings us back.
