There was a picturesque water view present - beautiful at night. The food was original and fantastic with lots of different options to pick from. It was hard to chose! I was with a group of girlfriends but also there with my 14 month old daughter. The wait staff treated her like gold as they did us. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Also, the chocolate cake was awesome!

Our dinner was a celebration of my dad's 90th birthday. The Daytona restaurant is a good central location for our family to travel to and your particular location provides a spectacular view while we dine. Thank you for allowing us to bring in our own cake to share among our family. Paul was our waiter and did an outstanding job of seeing to our needs and paying special attention to the guest of honor. A few years ago we celebrated my mom's 80th birthday at your restaurant and had such a wonderful time, we decided to come back for our dad's 90th. Thanks again for a great evening.

I have a vacation home in Daytona and would like to like this restauant a lot. The food is wonerful and the atmosphere is great. HOWEVER...I will not be coming to this restaurant that often because they simply do not honor reservations in a reasonable time. On this occasion, I waited almost an HOUR to be seated from my reservation time. This happens at this restaurant 90% of the time...it is NO ACCIDENT. There is nothing worse than making a reservation at a restaurant with guests and then waiting an hour for a table...you might as well just be a walk-in at the Cha I have talked with Roger, the manager about this and all he does is make excuses...simply put, this restaurant will take your reservation and then just let you wait.

This dining experience was truly remarkable. Our waiter (John) was by far one of the best waiters I have encountered. The food was terrific. The Chart House is definately one of my top 3 restaurants and is a must when I visit Daytona Beach. In fact we returned the following Thursday to enjoy our last night there before returning home. Again a wonderful evening .

We have been to the Chart House Restaurant Daytona Beach many times and we are NEVER disappointed!! The detailed service, excellent wine list, wonderful salad bar, great chef's preparing everything from calamari appetizers to perfect prime rib that melts in your mouth and then lava cake for dessert. It really does not get any better than eating at the Chart House on the river and watching the sunset!!!

Food was delicious, however overpriced. I had Macadamia encrused halibut (delish!)w/ coconut-ginger rice. Delicious rice, but just rice! My meal cost $32. For that price I expect a little something more creative from the kitchen. Appetizer wass yummy, too. Beautiful view, relaxing decor but the first half of our meal was just a tad too noisy, due to whining kids at the next table and annoying (not relaxing) background music. We had a nice time overall, but since we don't get to eat out much, I think next time I'll just spend my money at Stonewood Grill where the food is just as good and the prices more in line with what you're getting. I was surprised to see several parties dressed too casually for the experience (shorts, t shirts).

Not kid friendly, more of a romantic setting or business meeting type. Server did accomadate children at next table great though! We waited very long for server to initially greet us, then it was a long wait again for our drinks. Food came out appropriately and was very tasty. The restaurant made my birthday special by printing personalized menus for me to keep and offering a red rose.Overall we had a great time and will probably return.

I was greeted at the door by one of the mgrs and a server. Upon arriving at the desk, Alexis the hostess recognized me and already had checked me in and another hostess was waiting with a menu to take me to my dining spot. It was a wonderful experience and I thoroughly enjoyed an appetizer from the new Asian starter menu and also had a crab/mango stack for my meal that evening. Both were excellent. Corrie and Aileen both served me and were wonderful servers.

I actually ate at the bar downstairs since I was alone and it was a great, great meal with excellent service from the bartender, Corrie, who also had to serve several couples outside on the patio. I was disappointed in the salad bar, as the bowl of lettuce was almost empty, there were only 3 strawberries in the bowl and I was given the remaining Caesar salad from the serving bowl.

Food not quite as good in 08 as in 07. Be ready for a hard sell from the wait staff. Our waitress suggested everything under the sun, to the extent that it became quite annoying. She would make a better timeshare salesperson than a waitress. The view is quite pretty, but there was an annoying smell of urine in the main entryway. This Chart House is in definite need of a refreshing by Landry's. Look elsewhere for fine dining until this restaurant is overhauled. If you plan on spending 100 minimum for a family of 4 (which we knew going in) go somewhere else to get your money's worth.

My husband & I took my mother & my grandmother out for mother's day. My filet mignon was brought out to me luke-warm. My mother ordered prime rib & asked for it to be cooked medium-well...it was given to her rare. She stated that it was tough & chewy. My grandmother ordered the crab cake appetizer for her meal & it was the size of a flattened golf ball. Another crab cake was brought out free of charge; but was just as sad as the first one. On a lighter note...the wine was great, the salad bar was great, the calamari we ordered as an appetizer was great & my husbands lobster was great. What a memorable mother's day.

While making reservations through open table there was no option of a seating choice, but there was a comment that a window seat could be requested upon arrival. On arrival there we were seated in a closed sepatate room down stairs with no windows and no other diners. They said they were full upstairs and that soon many people would be seated in this area. 2 hours later not a single table was filled in our room or anywhere downstairs except our table. There were also many open tables upstairs. They must have been expecting $$ to get a good table or did not want us upstairs. The steak was order medium rare and was cooked well done. They did re-cook the steak at no charge. I would not reccomend this resaurant or open table.com

Impeccable service....such as the black napkin that was provided for my wife who was wearing black. Instead of a standard white napkin (that would leave white lint)the black napkin "just appeared" without request or question. Very smoothly and discreetly done. It's that level of detail that makes Chart House very very first class! That's what keeps us coming back. Chef Kirk introduced himself and made the rounds, very personable and friendly.

Saturday was our 24th wedding anniversay. We were seated 30 minutes late; food was an even longer wait; but the apologies were well received. At the end of the night, we didn't enjoy our dinner, in fact, the salad bar was more enjoyable then our dinner plates. It also must have been prom night because the limos made it a challenge to get into the resturant. Thanks, Tony Diaz

We have been to the Chart House many times over the years and always enjoyed it. This time our seating was delayed and the service was slow, most likely due to the large number of high school prom guests that night. It has been a while since we've been to the restaurant and now we found the salad bar is no longer included, toppings for a steak were extra and pricey. Overall, the food was good, the server was very nice, but we felt the overall experience was overpriced.

In 35 years of dining out, this was our single most disappointing experience. We went for a celebratory BDay dinner for Two. After being seated in the far corner behind a noisy table of 14 retired folks, we were moved to a table next to twelve-14 celebrating a 6 year old's BDay - complete with balloons and 6 rambunctious kids-ages 4-10ish, who were all over the place and very noisy - all at 8pm. Just as we thought they were about finished with the singing and the 3-4 desserts being passed up and down their table, one of their guests returned with a huge stack of at least 12 gifts to be opened/passed around/etc. All this up and down gave us NO view of the river. Re Food-Prime Rib-returned very fatty. Service-defensive attitude. Management-Ca

Our Server Clint was very attentative. He did everything he could to make our experience special and it was. We enjoyed everything except one thing that deeply disturbed us, which is serving hearts of palm on the salad bar and on the menu. An entire palm tree is destroyed for the little 10"-12" section of the heart of palm. It is destroying the rainforests, which accounts for more than 20% of the oxygen produced in the world. With most businesses trying to help reduce carbon emissions and help reduce global warming, taking that one item off the menu could help save thousands of trees that we and our wildlife need to survive. We will visit again.

Very disappointing from the first moment with the hostess staff, to the last 30 minutes we had to wait for our coffee and dessert. The manager was apologetic, but I do not know if we will return to the Charthouse. We had reservations, but upon our arrival we were told to wait and watched three parties comein off the street after us and be immediately seated. The waitress appeared 10 minutes after we were at the table to get our drink orders (iced tea, water and a juice) which she didn't bring for an additional 15 minutes. My husbands fish was raw, our guests rice was hard. We had ordered the lava cake and then ordered coffee which the waitress did not bring for half an hour. When I asked for the check, she was very rude from that point on

The food was outstanding, but the service was EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW! We had a reservation but still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Then we waited at least 15 minutes for the wait staff to acknowledge us and take our drink order. Actually, our waiter was so busy, one of the other waitresses took our drink order. We got our water and bread pretty quickly, but it was a long time until the waiter came back and took our order, then came the L-O-N-G wait for our food, which was OUTSTANDING! Our waiter, (when we saw him), was excellent. I just wish I could remember his name. Thank you. Starr
