Very nice. Good food, very good service. Quality steakhouse. Great for special occasions--birthdays, anniveries, etc. Classy, but relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The food and service were very good, but the noise level was extremely high. We were seated near the kitchen and there was quite a bit of wait staff traffic back and forth that created a bit of a distraction.

For the price we thought the atmosphere was not all that great (too loud and open). Although we had a reservation we waited more than a 1/2 hour. Also, my wife's filet came out rare when she ordered medium -- we had no choice but to send it back - when it returned it was fine. In this price range we think we could have gone somewhere else and been more satisfied overall.

I felt that my dinner was rushed and they were trying to shove food down my throat so that they could have my table for another diner. We were just barely finished our appetizers and our plates were still on the table when our salads were brought out. Then while we were still eating our salads, our entrees were brought out and they tried to serve them to us. This was less than 10 minutes from the time our salads were served. I refused the entrees and sent them back but I should have never had to do that. When my entrees came my lobster was overcooked which I am sure was because it was the same one they brought me 20 minutes before. It is absolutely unacceptable that a restuarant of this quality would manage a dinner service like this.

The food and atmosphere at Sullivan's is great but they play the music so loud that it is hard to have a conversation with the people you are dining with. When we go out we like to have a relaxing time enjoying conversation with those we are with. We went at 6pm so it wasn't like it was prime time and loud due to that. I don't think we will go there again.

Our overall experience was very good. The only downside was the noise level which detracted from the ambience of the restaurant; we had to talk very loud to hear one another. The free birthday souffle and birthday card signed by staff were wonderful touches.

Service was rushed and our server seemed inexperienced (served from left side, removed dishes from right). Brought dessert and never asked if we wanted coffee, another drink, etc. Manager was efficient and congenial. He appeared to be busy the evening we went. More attention to service would complete an excellent dining experience instead of detracting from it. We love the Sunday evening special menu. Keep it up. That's what brought us back after a long absence. Bravo on the quality of food and exceptional preparation! We'll be back soon. Just hope our server has more practice by then. Tom was pleasant enough though.

We have been to Sullivan's several times and always enjoyed the food and service. However, on this particular occasion it was a letdown. Not the food or service, but the noise level. Despite reservations, we were kept waiting in a crowded lobby area. Granted it wasn't an extreme wait, but if it had been any longer than it was we would have cancelled and left. Our table seemed ideal at first, very private, but the din in the place made it impossible to hear each other and for some reason, employees kept carrying chairs from an adjoining room through the aisle which became somewhat annoying. I feel bad saying anything negative, because we do like the place, but I don't think we will go on a Saturday again. We always went on weekdays before.

Outrageously expensive albeit the food was very good. Entree came w/a wedge of lettuce (ugh!!) and if you ordered the Caesar salad instead you were charged the full price. You have this beautiful expensive steak and it comes w/a wedge of lettuce! Aren't these items at 2 ends of the spectrum? We will not be going back unless we get another gift certificate. For a family of 4 dinner cost $225, not including the tip! I had 2 beers and my husband had a cocktail. Pretty outrageous. Oh yea, $15 for a glass of wine! Palease!

Our overall experience was good with the exception of a dirty wine glass and a dirty knife.Probably just didn't come through the dishwasher totally clean.Servers need to check the glasses and silverware for cleanliness before bringing them to the table. One thing we find often in restaurants, that I'm sure most diners don't like, are fingerprints all over the dishes, silverware, and stemware. We enjoyed the meal and the service was good.

I have eaten here many times and have often thought it was one of the best steak houses in the area. But this night, and the last time I ate at Sullivans- the end of February, I felt the service and the quality of the steak had gone down hill. I still like Sullivan's, but am more apt to try some of the new steak houses.

I had king Crab legs and they were tasteless and dry. I know I should have ordered steak but I figured if you were charging $39.00 that the Crab Legs would be good - they were not. Everyone liked their steaks. Also, it took 15 minutes to be served water and when the waitress brought our coctails, the lime for my vodka and tonic was unavailable as well as the lemon for my husband's drink. We had to wait for them. When you are paying that kind of money for a dining experience - that is unacceptable.

The meal was better then the last time my friend and I dined there around christmas time. I used to frequent sullivan's until restaurant began to take a turn for the worse. I enjoy the tuna steak so much that even after a terrible meal we wanted to give them another shot. The food was better this time around but I still cannot understand why the servers dress so provacatively? When I am able to see my servers butt it is almost disturbing and makes me feel sick. I used to be a bartender and I know what it means to dress the part. But isn't Sullivan's a Restaurant and not a gentleman's club?

It was not the greatest experience, we felt that due to our age that we might not have received the best service and definitely not the best cut of filet. We are in our mid-twenties and I guess our waiter felt he wasn't going to be tipped well. However the surrounding tables seemed to have an ok experience and their steaks looked to have been better with nice service, including the manager coming with a special treat from the chef.

I've been to this Sullivan's many times. It is consistently very good. They do steak house food very well. The service is always excellent and the environment is pleasant. The wine list is one of the better ones in the Wilmington area although you will pay for a good bottle. You can’t go wrong going to Sullivan’s with your spouse/date or for a business dinner.

Excellent food and wine prepared and served impectibly without being pretenious, but you will feel out of place if you aren't in a jacket and tie. Huge wine selection and stunning wine cellar on view from dining areas. Finest cuts of meat I've ever had at a resturant. I've been back in the kitchen and it's the cleanest i've ever seen (and I've sen a lot of them). It's so clean it looks new. This is the perfect restaurant for a special romantic occasion.
