We were hoping to have a nice meal, and maybe that was our mistake. Fire Tower seemed to deliver some good pizza and basic foods to the families with all the kids running around, but failed on delivering the higher end options on the menu. The ahi tuna specifically, while very fresh, was ice cold in the middle, seared on the outside with some sauce ladled on - accompanied by tasteless vegetable sauté and sticky rice - not worth the time to eat. Stick to the pizza.

After a long day on the slopes this is probably the best place to come with the kids for a good dinner. Service and food were very good. I highly recommend fire tower!

It was a very pleasant surprise to eat at Stratton Resort's new restaurant after a great day of skiing/snowboarding. Food was very good, reasonable, and a very nice selection for all ages. All our food was presented well and food was fresh. Service was great and my husband would have gone back the next night; he liked the cozy bar. We would definitely visit Fire Tower again on our next visit.

Replaces a basic Italian and pizza restaurant (Mulberry Street) with an excellent selection of different food that was wonderful. Along with that my daughter opted for the peanut moose cake and almost ate the plate. Service was knowledgeable fast, and friendly.

We arrived on time and were seated promptly (our reservation was on a Sunday, non-holiday evening). Service was slow, and we never received bread. We mentioned that we were also ready to order food and did so. I ordred the cranberry chicken, which my friend did also. The waitress asked if he wanted the chicken special (she never told us any specials otherwise), which he ended up ordering instead. The chicken was tasteless, unseasoned and dry. The vegetables tasted frozen and tasteless as well. Most insulting was that the special chicken was identical except was in a different sauce and on rice instead of mashed potatoes - apparently sufficient to cause the special to be $25 instead of $19 (the menu chicken). We will not be returning.

Stratton needs a good restaurant in the village (other than Verde) and we were hoping this would fit the bill. It disappointed on so many levels. To begin, the restaurant was freezing. We were wearing hats and coats throughout dinner. They told us heat was on the max, but for a restaurant in winter in Vermont, they should have sufficient heat. We had a reservation and still had to wait about 10minutes for our table. If this were the only bad thing, I wouldn't have minded. Service was friendly but spotty. Our waiter and bus boy were nice, but hardly ever around. We were always having to get someone's attention. The food was just okay but did justify the price. I'd try again on a non holiday week and see if it makes a difference.

At Stratton Mountain there are very few restaurants to go to at night. The Fire Tower is a good restaurant but not great. It is very convenient for people on the Mountain and there is only one other restaurant that is better though much more expensive. The best aspects of the restaurant is the nice decor and the service. The pricing is fair. You can eat dinner for two with a few drinks for approximately a $100. All in all I have gone there 4 times and it works in a ski area. It is a nice addition to the Stratton restaurant scene. I will continue to go The bar scene was doing well but it was a holiday week. The open table reservation system worked well. I would reccomend to anyone but do not expect fine dining in the realm of NYC.

This was our second time at Fire Tower. The food quality seems variable, the first time it was excellent. This time it was fair. They really don't have their act together. In our first experience we were made to wait 15 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. We had to remind the hostess we were waiting. She asked "what are you waiting for? " . Once we were finally seated the service was good and the food was very good. This time to we were seated immediately but the service was poor. Appetizer never arrived. 20 minutes for a glass of wine to arrive. 15 minutes and a reminder for a glass of milk to arrive. The food was fair. We'll nto be going back there any time soon.

What a pleasant surprise! Only open a month and they totally have their act together. Attentive, well trained staff, big portions and a menu with something for everyone. The veggie dumpling appetizer and Ahi tuna dinner were delish! One negative, desserts are all $9.00. Management may want to rethink that pricing or give slightly larger portions. Can't wait to go back and try the pizza.

The supervisor was arrogant. She even commented that when they changed our table, that if we don't like it we don't have to stay - and this for Christmas dinner! The waitress was equally lacking in customer focus. We left without eating - great call Fire Tower. The manager was more understanding, but did not get a hanlde on the issue.

Had Dinner there with a friend - Atmosphere - beautiful inside. Very loud. Service - was good but way too fast. The main courses came out before our salad. So that had to go back to the kitchen to sit under the lights. Then, 1/2 way through the salad she brought the main course out again - the Waitress quickly saw we were not done the salad sooo back into the kitchen with our main courses a second time. I was worried that by the 3rd time our meals arrived they would be lousy. HOWEVER - the food was excellent! My friend had the Venison and I had the Mushroom Raviolis.....Not cold, Not over cooked, Not dried out from it's adventures in and out of the kitchen....Desert was a Chocolate Amaretto cake. I would definitely eat here again...

We dined at the newly-opened Fire Tower Restaurant & Tavern at Stratton Mountain. We found it to have friendly and excellent service both in the restaurant and the tavern. We found the food to be excellent, and the menu options plentiful and fit for both families and couples. The restaurant is comfortable and gives you a feel of what Vermont is all about. We even went back the next day for lunch. I highly recommend the Ahi Nachos as a starter......off the charts! We will definitely go back each time we visit Stratton Mountain.
