My favorite restaurant in Rehoboth - even though it is technically on Route 1. The food is always delicious. The service is spotty - the servers are always friendly and well-informed, but sometimes there is a serious lag - either in getting them to pay attention to you or getting the food to the table. In my opinion, the quality and delightful food combinations and preparations make up for that. Not so for those with whom I was dining - as the rest of the table said they didn't want to eat there any more. I will have to find a way to sneak back there on my own. I highly recommend anything with pork belly - a rather large chunk comes with the shrimp and grits. Mac and Cheese good too! Also recommend the scallop appetizer.

Only drawback was an AC system that blew down directly on just about everyone, which seriously distracted from the experience. For those who were put off by the somewhat eclectic menu, get over it. The food is wonderful and not at all weird. Want bland, comfort food - Applebee and Cracker Barrel are right down the street. Definitely a do over!

Nage is reliably excellent, always. I love how the staff are always professional yet personable. The food is always superb -- my mother, whose appetite is usually quite small, devours the filet every time, and I always have difficulty choosing because I know I'm going to miss something fine when I order something else! Thank goodness for flights, which are just the right amount of wine and add dimension to the meal. I do wish outdoor dining were a possibility, but easy accessibility gives Nage an edge over the restaurants in Rehoboth -- along with everything else they do so well. Thanks, Nage!

We had heard great things about Nage for quite some time and finally made it last week. My husband order the filet and I have to say I can't remember seeing a more perfectly cooked filet. We should have taken a picture. He said it melted in his mouth. They use the butcher next store so it simply couldn't be any fresher. I ordered the warm vegetable salad with shrimp as my entree and I seriously could eat that meal three times a week. Outstanding!!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 3/21/2014
This is one of our favorite restaurants but something was wrong that night. Friday is one of there business night and it was. Noise ls always above the sound barrier but the food and service make up for it. Something was wrong with the ventilation system and wrong I mean wrong. It was so bad that when we got we had to remove our clothes and shower to get rid of the smell of food. I gave them another five star with this review because they are a five star restaurant , but if we were first timers it would have been hard to give them a one star.

  • Thursday 'Burger Night' a Winner!
    WildswanDelawareVIP
    Dined on 3/20/2014
We're Nage regulars and fans, but this was our first time at a 'burger night'. Creative options 'ranged' from tuna burger, trout burger, mexi/california burger (avocado & salsa, si!), to our choices: her 'Nage Burger' (one of Delaware's best, for sure), served with crispy shoestring potato/sweet potato fries, and my Wild Boar Burger (also absolutely delicious) with onion rings. We shared an excellent, full-bodied Syrah from their well-selected (and fairly-priced) wine list...plenty of by-the-glass offerings, too. Nage in Rehoboth is a local foodie gem; well worth a visit anytime, including Sunday brunch, but if you crave a really special burger, go on a Thursday and indulge yourself.

The kitchen is open to the dining area. While we were there the cooking odors were quite strong and unpleasant and made it difficult to enjoy the meal. Perhaps something was burned. At one point my eyes watered from the smell. Lots of steam and odor wafted out and into the dining area.

My wife and I have been to Nage a couple of times and had 2 good experiences and one not so good (too loud, and service was not up to par) ... Saturday night was a joy ... the food was great ... my wife had the French Onion Soup ... which she has since reflected on and said it was the best she ever had ... I had the Gumbo and it was great ... we both had specials (after a recommendation to always have the specials from Ted Depetula) ... the Mahi and Short Ribs ... both excellent ...

  • Nage - A Delightful Rehobeth Gem

Nage is an incredible restaurant nestled in the heart of a Rehobeth shopping strip. It is tucked away in a corner - and if you are fortunate enough to know it is there -- you need to go. The menu is outstanding. The choices are thoughtful and creative. It was refreshing to have such delicious and innovative twists offered as lunch fare. What further sets the restaurant apart is the outstanding service. It was attentive, but not rushed. Our server John spoiled us rotten with good service. I honestly cannot wait to visit Rehobeth again so I can return to Nage -- and I will be sure to go on a Thursday night for their burger night. My 11 year old said her burger was the absolute best she has ever had. We are officially Nage groupies.

We enjoyed the Nage experience for dinner. The appetizer "baked brie" could have been warmer. It was not warmed all the way through. I enjoyed the crab cake and it was delicious, lots of crab very little filler and the veggies served with it were fabulous. My husband had the salmon and he really enjoyed it. We each also had a glass of wine and it complimented the food very nicely. We will definitely return to Nage again.

  • Not for Valentines day
    OpenTable Diner Since 2013
    Dined on 2/14/2014
Normally the food and service at Nage is top notch, but I did not think to reserve a table in the smaller more quiet side room. The main dining room was and always is very loud and not at all a romantic setting. It took a half an hour to get our soup and all our waiter asked was didn't you get your soup yet we we finally got his attention. The halibut from the valentine's day menu was excellent but the short ribs were as dry as toast and the risotto very under done. We sent back the short rib dish and shared the fish wile waiting for a replacement. The waiter was nonchalant and no apology offered. The replacement short ribs were just OK, not tender and flavorful like I would expect from Nage let alone a special menu. Very disappointed.

By far the best restaurant I've been to in Delaware. The only better dining experience was in New York. The food was amazing! We went on Valentine's Day, so I expected them to be busy and possibly slow. We were immediately seated, and service was great? I could not have asked for a better experience for my girlfriend and I. It can get a little loud, but it didn't interfere with the evening. We will definitely be back.
