After hearing all the buzz about this fabulous new restaurant and full bar in Los Gatos, we planned a date night at Hult's. As rude as it is to break out a phone at a nice restaurant such as Hult's, I broke the rule and texted my family offering to take them to Hult's. Any excuse to get back to this wonderful establishment. Congratulations Alex and Sarah on such a phenomenal restaurant. My sincerest congratulations to Jose, the Head Chef, for clearly finding his métier. A great team that clearly has many years together cooking up some inspiring dishes for the residents of Los Gatos, and those that should surely travel to experience Hult's. Note: If I were to only order one thing again, it would be the Kobe "Eye of" Ribeye.

Came here for dinner with one of my best friends and had and absolutely amazing experience. We were both very excited that they offer a 7 course tasting menu created nightly from the chef. We were both blown away by every course they brought out. Every dish had an excellent presentation and the flavors were absolutely amazing. The whole staff really did an amazing job of truly pampering us for our whole experience. The owner of the restaurant came to check on us and was very friendly and caring! I was also very surprised to see the chef personally deliver some of our courses to the table. He seems like a really great guy!!! I was very impressed with everything that Hult's has to offer and I am looking forward to coming back very soon.

The place is wonderful. Nice ambience, friendly staff, extremely helpful and amiable hostess/owner and truly gourmet yummy food. My husband is still raving about the baby back ribs and my Salmon was very moist and succulent. They were very accommodating to the 2 children 3 and 1 ( who were well behaved for the evening). We had a wonderful mother's day dinner and can hardly wait to go back.

We had a great Mother's day dinner at Hult's. Excellent food, Cliff our server and wine savant was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He designed an impromptu wine pairing for us which was very well done. A very nice selection of beer's also. Sarah Hult was very friendly at the front desk. Everyone there is fully engaged. We will be back.

This was our first visit to Hult's. We went with great anticipation. It was Mother's Day. We were the second group to arrive, at 5pm. They parked us at the bar. The friendly bartender gave us menus, recommended the burrata appetizer ("If you don't like it, I'll buy it)," then ignored us. After 15 minutes at the bar with no drinks, we were seated. It took another 10 minutes to get water and to order the burrata, which our server also recommended. It arrived in a few minutes. Very hard bread with stringy prosciutto. Very hard to eat. It was the last food we'd see for 90 minutes. We ordered entrees when the burrata arrived. An hour and a half later, we were standing to leave when the food finally arrived. We ate and left, never to return.

Made my first visit to Hult's for Mother's Day Brunch. My Open Table information stated the brunch was a $39 price fix menu; however, when I received my bill, it was $49 per person. My wife very much enjoyed her food (Eggs Benedict); however, I found my baby back rib hash was bland. The dessert, cobbler, was very good.

We were excited to try Hult's with my folks as we had seen the nice exterior while driving by. The reviews trended towards brunch as a good bet, and so I booked it for Mother's Day. It was a prix fix menu, but the price wasn't anywhere to be found. Four of us had the standard eggs/bacon/potatoes entre', eggs were dry, my bacon was burnt black on one side (which the cooks tried to hide by puting face down), and the toast was served dry with no butter or jam on the table! No salt or pepper on the table either. Since it was Mother's Day we didn't want to let anything spoil the mood, but then the bill came.... $49.00 per head!!! OMG I about had a heart attack. What a rip-off. Won't go back. They won't last long.

Came in last Saturday for the first time. It was splendid and primarily because the waiter, Kevin, made it an experience. The food was very good. We left and the kids asked if we could come back the following weekend. So, we did -- unfortunately, it was quite the opposite experience. The waitress was down right rude, slow and just not professional. The server had the same traits. We waited 1.5 hours between appetizers and meal. When I politely asked the waitress how much longer, she snubbed me. That was it. I asked for the bill and will not return. The food was not as good as the previous Saturday. The table was next to the kitchen -- very noisy. The hostess came and apologized -- very pleasant and professional.

It's good to have another higher-end restaurant option in the area. I'd give Hult's a qualified recommendation. It's an attractive room, especially for those who remember its previous incarnations. The food is good, but not great. The "Saltimbocca" needed some salt to tie the flavors together. The tuna/watermelon starter is fresh, yet lacking something that would make it luscious. The amuse bouche the night we went was very good. That the restaurant was out of the filet for our 6:45 reservation disappointed more than one person at our table. The cobbler was really the highlight of the meal. Service was attentive if a little inexperienced.

When we arrived, I was so impressed with the transformation of the venue. However, that soon changed when the food began to arrive. From the Old Bay Seasoning potato chips to the first course to the entree, I have never experienced less flavor than here. Beet salads are generally my benchmark and the one here was just OK. The risotto had absolutely NO flavor--like eating a bowl of upscale rice. Gordon Ramsay would be soooo disappointed! The flavor of the salmon fought with the bitter greens below it and made the overall appeal less than great. The potato balls also had NO flavor. The duck was OK...at least the coconut rice and the crispy skin had a little bit of personality. But overall, the food was flavorless and disappointing.

We can't say enough about this restaurant, and obviously, neither can others. While we walked out this morning after enjoying our brunch, another couple stopped us in the parking lot to tell us how long they've been waiting for a restaurant to open up like this in Los Gatos - and they have been living here for 30 years!! Love it!! Chef takes such pride in his work, Rick, our waiter, was beyond stellar and attentive, owners are so amiable. Their restaurant lacks the pretentiousness but delivers on quality. Bravo!

Overall a nice evening out. Would try again in about 6 months. A bit cold and pretencious, but better HVAC controls would stop the customers from moving away from the window seats. Service staff were very personable and caring. Food needs seasoning and the timing of delivering hot food in unison would be nice, as my prok was luke warm by the time it came.

While there wasn't anyone to greet us at the door, and there was an awkward wait of several minutes trying to catch the eye of someone who was working, the rest of the evening had great service - especially the gentleman who cleared our table. He was never far away, very attentive, extremely warm, friendly, and polite, and really left me with a nice impression. The rest of the staff was equally as charming and as the setting is rather intimate and open, I was aware of the same pleasantness with other patrons. The pace of the meal was very leisurely, upwards of 90 minutes at least, and while we were in no real rush, it is something to keep in mind. The prosciutto and tartar are delicious as is the duck. I enjoyed out meal very much; do try!

This was the first time we tried Hult's for brunch, and we were very favorably impressed. There was a menu (not into buffets) with several good choices and included a "pomosa". The owners, Sarah & Alex are adorable. They both greeted us for our Easter brunch reservation. You can tell they're very happy & love owning this restaurant. Most of the restaurant has great window views. The front faces gorgeous mountains. We also say next to a stunning full wall wine rack. The menu was pre-fix for brunch, but there was a good selection. Their homemade potatoe chips were yummy & the bread pudding was to die for! All ingredients tasted very fresh. The only reason I gave the restaurant 4/5 was the timing of the service. Our waitress was very nice & bubbly, but the food timing stretched out a bit- we were there for a total of 2 hours. I'd definitely recommend Hult's & we'll be back!

Loved the friendly attention, decor & table spacing. The food was good (not amazing); drinks small. Prix fixe $39, includes mimosa, starter, main, & dessert. The granola parfait was nice, tho the yogurt was odd: less tangy & more fluffy. The salad was fine. The burrata was best: baguette w/prosciutto, burrata, pine nuts, & sauce-stunning! Duck confit hash, meh: not hash, home fries w/shredded duck and yolks on top (duck was too salty). Eggs Benedict was nicely cooked, tho not imaginative. The Easter brunch plate was eggs, potatoes, meat, toast. Ok, but the toast was not buttered hot. The bread pudding was super... rich, fluffy! The sorbet was so-so; lovely texture, but no intensity. For the price, I like more imaginative food.

We dined at Hult's on Saturday 4/12. Overall enjoyed our meal and visit. We each had one of the Hult Experiences (3 courses w/wines) - my wife had Air and I had Water. These translated into main courses of Braised Duck Breast with an Asian sauce over a bed of coconut rice, and poached King Salmon over a bed of sautéed spring greens and a potato pancake. All of the courses were delicious! The 2 different desserts were great, huge portions. All 6 wines were enjoyable, approx half glass each. The service was a bit slow. But I wonder if the restaurant could save some money by reducing the wait staff? We had 4 attend to us. We recommend Hult's. Prices are reasonable for a high-end LG location, cheaper than LeForet in Almaden.

The first time my husband and I went there with friends, we were quite pleased. When we returned, however, it was a different experience. Perhaps because the owner wasn't present that night? The duck entree was not cooked properly and the food did not seem extremely freshly made. The tuna starter was way overpriced for the value. It was my husband's birthday as I had noted in he reservation, and they didn't even comp the dessert as most other restaurants do. We won't be going back again soon.

Second time dinning at Hult's & was as good if not better than the first. Tried the Di Stefano Burrata & loved it. Will be having that again. For the main course I had the salmon & it was cooked perfect. My dinner partner started with the Organic Pork & Beef Meatballs. Two orders of that would be a meal in itself. Very yummy. His entree was Free Range Chicken "Saltimbocca". Lots of chicken & excellent. Hats off to the chef. Hult's is becoming our "go to place" for dinner. Met Alexander, one of the owners, on our first visit. Very personable & a very all around nice guy. I have no connection with the Hults' or the restaurant. This is my 3rd time at Hult's and we chose to have the chef experience. Ah-mazing food-gasmic tasting. I kept on saying at each tasting "That's my favorite!!!" But it seems my pallet was enjoying and savoring every dish from the watermelon tuna, salmon, duck, fillet... dark warm chocolate cake dessert. Impeccable farm-to-table experience and friendly atmosphere. You will certainly see the personal touch of Alexander Hult and his warm presence. This was certainly a very attractive dining experience for us.

This was our first time dining at Hult's and we were very impressed. We arrived a bit early and we're greeted immediately by the host. We had time for a drink at the bar where the service was excellent. For dinner we tried the Chef's Experience menu (7 courses). It was delicious and just the right amount of food. Our server, Kevin, was great - very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The whole staff was a class above. We'll definitely be going back!
