Came for a birthday celebration. One of the chefs for the day gave us free shrimp in plantain appetizer and was handing out pisco jello shots. Nice way to start. Had causa wirh tempura shrimp and crab. Yum. Halibut skewers were very tasty as was the trout. Ordered a veggie plate that was tasteless and could have been prepared by anyone. Boring. Otherwise all good as usual. Pricey, but food is overall very tasty. It is a noisy place since the ceiling are high and there are windows all around and there only seemed to be one waiter when we were there. Will always go back though.

This place usually has a laid back floor with an energetic bar. Went there with some friends for early dinner around 615, and the service was very poor. After seating in the half empty dining room, our waiter took at least 10 minutes to come by for drinks, which took another 15 minutes to arrive. It took another 10 minutes to come back to ask our order. The food is still good but a bit on the greasy side this time. The waiter was not attentive throughout the meal. We wil not be going back.

It was a great dining experience! I love their lomo saltado with plantains of course! It get pretty crowded so reservations is always good specially for weekend. I love the food but sometimes when the restaurant is packed or you have a large group, you have to follow up on your orders else they forget them. otherwise I do recommend the place for a great Peruvian meal!

We were there, this time, for a Father's Day celebration - with a Father/Grandfather/Great Grandfather who is almost 88 years old. He was a bit weary about trying a different cultural menu . . . but once he did so . . . enjoyed it immensely. His portion was more than he could eat, in one seating, so he was thrilled that he had leftovers to take home. The atmosphere, though a bit loud (The World Cup was happening on the Big Screen TV), added to the joyousness of the day. Thank you so for this great experience.

It was our first time and we LOVE Peruvian cuisine! The food portions were great and the flavor was awesome! I will say that the kids menu could be increased with more choices. And if they serve limited options, they should take pride in what they are serving. The cheeseburgers were charred and the buns were hard. Not very appetizing to a child. We had a server who seemed it was her first time at waiting on tables. She was very soft spoken and in a place where its loud, she should increase her tone to be heard.

There can never be enough good Peruvian restaurants in the Bay Areas, I say. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. The service, however, was a bit disorganized, even though the restaurant was not crowded for Saturday lunch. We had to ask for individual plates several times, even though we told the waiter that we would be sharing the ceviche and the entrees. It was also difficult to get anyone's attention when we needed them.

My husband and I had eaten dinner at Puerto 27 before, and it was wonderful. So, when it came time to make a reservation for our 32nd anniversary dinner we immediately thought of Puerto 27. We were greeted with a glass of complimentary champagne and many "happy anniversary" accolades. Then we enjoyed sharing a delicious appetizer (crab and cream cheese wontons) and salad (steak and bleu cheese) before digging into our entres (I had Paella and he had Lamb). We then followed up with a tasty desert (Mango cheesecake and sorbet).

The food was greay also. I would recommend this place to couples; groups of friends or simply anyone who enjoys a good rrstaurant.

Puerto 27 is a a gem in Pacifica. The food is great. I love the trout with prawns (although a bit oily), very flavorful. The paella is very spicy and the restaurant was great to provide me with another selection. The new salmon dish is fabulous and cooked to perfection. The ceviche is fresh and the servings are decent portions. Great place for celebrating just about anything.

Had a great meal with causa, ceviche, paella and halibut over a risotto cake. All very good. Pisco sours are good but sangria has little wine. Noise level is quite high due to the high ceiling and windows for a great view. Service was good. A bit in the pricey side. Would return however, for special occasions.

We were expecting a "Peruvian" menu. There were only a few items with Peruvian ingredients. One entree came with fries, asked if we could change to sweet potato fries but that wasn't an option. The waiter was busy taking with costomers at next table, it took more than 10 minutes to get his attention just to start us off with menus and water.

Had a wonderful experience at Puerto 27 in Pacifica. Great food, great service and spectacular ocean view. The noise lever is pretty high but it is a fun and hopping place where everyone seems happy to be there and having a good time.I am a little reluctant to recommend it as it is already so packed all the time I don't want even more people to find out about it! Big plus as well, they have an incredible Peruvian Troubadore named Omero Oyarsi who moves from table to table singing for them on Saturday nights. What a phenomenal singer you wish everyone would just stop talking and listen to him. Thank you management of this extra wonderful gift!

Been here before and while I enjoyed my food, I found that the prices recently increased and Ceviche portions grew smaller. That was very disappointing. The drinks were also quite expensive so I just skip them... no need to pay $11 for a very small Pisco Sour

I have gone several times with different waitstaff and at different times and had an outstanding meal an service each time. I have seen the manager making the rounds each time to ensure service is up to par. I have read some negative reviews and have to disagree. While the service is not drivethrough prompt (and its not fast food fare) it is professional and attentive at a European pace. An appreciation dinner event in their upstairs lounge for us AYSO soccer referees was a festive affair. At peak times when the scene is hopping it can be difficult for me to hear my tablemates due to the conversation reflecting off the sealed concrete but you can ask the host for a quieter section if this is a concern.

Four of us went to early (6pm) dinner on a Thursday and the restaurant was already nearly full and people kept coming in until we left 1-1/2 hours later. We all ordered different dishes, i.e., paella, halibut, salmon and pork chop and everything was delicious. The chef came around when we first arrived with a tray of jello shooters(!) - a first for me. Our server was terrific and ever attentive, clearing the table, filling water glasses, inquiring if everything was OK. For dessert we had the mango cheesecake with mango sherbert, which was great, the chocolate lava cake the the cookies were good too. Really a first class dining experience.rp

Made a mistake and went there on mother's day. Even allowing for that, the only thing memorable was a plate of ceviche. Paella had nondescript rice; three of five miniature unopened clams; a few shrimp; almost invisible sausage chunks; and couple of mussels. It seem more like a rice dish with everything else for appearance. Service was good, but you could tell they were pushing to recycle our table. Like most view restaurants that's what they sell, a view. Go for drinks a snack and take the rest of your money with you. Beware, make sure you get a view table to make it worthwhile. We had a good view of the parking lot. Very very noisy. Conversation impossible.

Any time a new restaurant pops up in Pacifica I have reason to hope. I took the Mrs. to Puerto 27 and for the most part the experience was good. Reservation was easily confirmed. Got a table with an excellent view. Server was top notch. The food did not take me to the moon. It was flavorful but just did not make it all the way. The cocktail menu is a bit strange but we gave it a shot. The Mrs. ordered some concoction that tasted like a shoe dipped in cider. I stuck to my knob creek and was all the better for the choice. The noise level on a Saturday was quite high. If you are looking for quiet getaway its not gonna happen here. Also, the place is a bit pricey for what it is. I imagine they have a high overhead due to the size of the place.

A group of four friends went to meet at the recommended Puerto 27 in Pacifica. Great view, but two of us suffered respiratory distress with the amount of smoke in the restaurant from the open kitchen. My girlfriend had a coughing episode that lasted almost two days afterwards, and I only had a mild cough and sore throat. If you have ANY breathing problems, if you've recently had lung or respiratory surgeries, or if this is an issue for you, you may want to reconsider this place.

I attended for a spring break lunch with my colleagues. It was great. I had the avacado crabwich and my colleages had the roasted chicken, tuna salad and one other item that was unidentifiable. Everything was perfect and left us happy except for the unidentifiable meal which was comped- despite being what she wanted it was missing a very and was too starchy. It was like a polenta with shredded chicken. Still, had a great time and moved on.

We've been going to Puerto 27 since it opened. The food is still good and if you sit by the windows that face the ocean you can have a pretty nice view. However, as the restaurant has become busier, two issues have surfaced: first, the noise levels have good from bad to unacceptable. Secondly, the service is slipping. When the restaurant is busy the noise level can be deafening. It's all hard surfaces and they've done nothing to mitigate the sound so it just bounces around. It has become too much for me; I'm done for at least a while. Our server was fine but we had to ask multiple times about somethings (like getting spilled water cleaned up from our table; shouldn't have to ask even once, much less twice).

Good food, interesting cocktails and pretty lively. Sometimes you get the bonus of a fog free day but even when it's foggy the beach view is nice. Puerto 27 is a great addition to the Coastal dining scene. Delicious Pisco cocktails are featured and interesting Peruvian cuisine is offered from the folks behind the Fresca restaurants in SF. Lots of fresh seafood and plenty of vibrant flavors. You can make a meal of the small plates or enjoy a good selection of entrees from fish, chicken, beef, pork and duck.
