A word from Montgomery Inn - At the Boathouse
Montgomery Inn at the Boathouse is one of the most popular restaurants in Greater Cincinnati. Our world-famous ribs, our friendly service, and our striking view of the Ohio River, makes us a unique restaurant that you and your friends & family will remember long after your meal is over.

Sports fans will love the upstairs sports lounge with sports memorabilia on the walls, as well as the autographed photos of famous visitors who have dropped by. So come on in and get yourself some ribs and watch your favorite team in a fun, classy atmosphere.

Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow but we found a way. For dessert, indulge in another Cincinnati culinary tradition: Graeter's black raspberry chip ice cream.

Everyone always orders the ribs-I recommend the pork chops! Delicious. Also had the curry corn clam chowder during our visit-very good, could have been a bit hotter. Always a treat to go here especially for the view!

The food was good. Good atmosphere, excellent service. Just not sure if it was worth the price. Dessert was fabulous. The fish dinner was good but nothing I couldnt get somewhere else for less. We never had to ask for refills, food was hot, served quickly. Parking was easy.

This was our second time visiting. Jerry was our server and he was very engaging and friendly. The ribs were delicious and we also had the Saratoga chips as an appetizer, which is a must have. The view was very nice. Only thing that could have been better was our greet by the hostess. She was a a little rude when we came in and was quick to say there was a long wait for a window seat. It is understandable to be the wait, but the way we were told was just rude. Other than that it was another wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed our dining experience. We had a seat by the window so we could see the river. The staff were nice and answered any questions we had. We ended up spending 70 when it was all over with, which hurts but when your going for a romantic date just the two of you it's worth it.

Diner started out slow with having trouble finding a parking spot. Opted to valet park, well worth the $4.00 price(you can even elect to put it on your dinner bill) server was a little slow to loosen up, but once I got him engaged in some conversation, he loosened up. Pork chop was great, ribs were ok.Lots of neat nostalgia from different sports venues from around town. Well worth the trip, but pack your patients when it comes to parking.

We've eaten at The Boathouse numerous times (and have always enjoyed the food and view), but this was the first time that we were able to enjoy the outdoor eating area. Our food was delicious as always, with an amazing view from our table. Plus, it was a perfect location to dine prior to the concerts at Sawyer Point.

The restaurant itself is nice and in a great location looking over the water. The prices are high and the portions are small for the price. They probably have to keep the prices higher since it's in a good location. The food is good but nothing really special. You can get larger portions, better food, and better prices at other BBQ restaurants in the area but the view is nice and the service was good so it just depends on what you are looking for.

When we checked in on-time for our reservation, we were told it would be 15-3 min.same as everyone else w/out one.it only took 10 min and we got a great table, so all evened out! Onion straws were a great starter. My Mac and Cheese side was barely warm and I wanted to send it back.our waiter was always in such a rush, he did not take time to check on our satisfaction with our meals. He did keep dropping off fresh beverages, but never really asked us if all was OK. Annoying. The rest of our food was fantastic and prepared better than MInn Columbus. The pork chop was grilled to perfection. Biggest drawback was the temp of the restaurant. It was freezing! Had to buy tshirts to warm up.maybe that was their master plan. Boathouse is the best.

On the Ohio River with a great view, their signature food is great, especially barbequed ribs; other items good. Very loud, not impossible but not the best place for a business meeting or other event where talking is desired. Now take "reservations" they aren't real reservations but it get you ahead of the walk-ins. Better than nothing which was their past policy.

This is a Cincinnati landmark. Tributes to cincy sports all over the restaurant but it is no sports bar. Good food and atmosphere. Moderately expensive. Only criticisms were parking (valet only) and the ribs were overdone (dry) for those of us who ate them without sauce.

Didn't like the house Cosmo at all. Not sure what it was made from. Our waitress was friendly, but we still didn't have bread after the salad was served thought we asked twice, and we had to ask TWICE about the coleslaw that didn't come out with the meal. Ribs were okay. Shrimp were good. Macaroni and cheese was weird orange color.

Good food - WARNING - BBQ fans - sauce is quite sweet Ribs could be easily pulled apart with fingers, chicken & steak were very good, steamed broccoli in separate plate cooled quite fast, desserts were good but caramel volcano involved a lot of caramel Service was good to start but got quite slow as meal progressed IF you can get a window table DO IT - quite nice to watch the water flow past with all the boats and birds. Some people watching as the bike trail runs right under the windows.

We planned a trip to Cincy for our 25th wedding anniversay. Multiple people told us we HAD to eat at Montgomery's with much rantings and ravings! We arrived and were seated at a nice table by the window, and ordered the 3 for $30 meals. We both ordered the full rack of ribs, and were very excited to try them. I am so sorry to say that they were overcooked, tough, and had some sort of crust on them. To top it off, the barbecue sauce was pretty bad, too. It might have been nice to offer a variety of bbq sauces. Regarding the service, the waiter for the section next to us gave us much more attention than our own server. We almost gave him the tip! Anyway, a very disappointing experience, to be sure.
