Have been twice - seasonal PB&J wings were a favorite. Loved the "Nacho Mama's oysters" & fried chicken sliders (I would have preferred without honey). Loved the baby kale salad & Magnolia Cheese Board. Ruben sliders were a miss for us - truffle chips were a big soft. Got an add on chicken breast - yummy & without bones! Can't wait to meet friends there again!

We had a wonderful meal and the service was absolutely outstanding! Or server, Lauren knew the menu and was well versed on ingredients and recommendations. Also was very knowledgeable with the wine list and for suggestions as sometimes wine lists can become very overwhelming. We will definitely be back again and again.

My family loved the mac n cheese that was made with goat cheese and other delicious goodies. The fried chicken was incredible and well worth the wait. We were told it would be 25-30 minutes, but it was only about 15 minutes. My husband got the egg sandwich. The applewood smoked bacon and the truffle aioli brought the sandwich over the top.

Went to Max's in Fort Worth for the first time. They have free valet parking and great service but the food just wasn't as good. I ordered the fried chicken and the food was not as flavorful as the Dallas location. The chicken, greens, and chipotle honey were all very bland. The potatoes were overlooked yet seasoned with super spicy seasoning. My husband ordered the egg plate but didn't like the grits so he asked for potatoes. His potatoes were overcooked with no seasoning. The experience was ok. We may come back but we will more than likely stick to the Dallas location.

Have visited other locations of MWD, but this was our first time to the Fort Worth location and...as usual...we were impressed. The food was delicious and served without issue, the service was attentive, informative, and efficient, and the overall ambiance of the place left our large group all feeling well fed, served, and of course lubricated! Thank you especially to Cory, our server for making our special occasion that much more memorable.

I was so excited to visit this spot. Took my Mom for brunch on Sat. Got a surprise to find Ft Worth loc doesn't have waffles. I got the fried chicken wings and they were good. My son ordered some as well, but one was a little too pink inside. The waitress took them back, and brought out two burnt wings. It was almost like the chef (if he should be called that)was being funny. Don't know if I will return. Our other dishes were good andoso was our waitress. I was a bit disappointed.

Initially did not let us make a reservation for the size of our large party, but when we came they were not busy so they were able to seat us all together. Grapefruit mimosas were great, definitely a unique highlight. Some of our entrees were cold, perhaps due to the large size of our party - we sent them back and the staff was happy to rewarm them. Overall, drinks were great and we had a great time, but the food was nothing special.

This was our second visit to the Fort Worth MAX's. We enjoyed our first visit with friends and decided to try it solo. The staff is attentive and helpful and the wine list is excellent. We like their policy of allowing you to open any bottle on their list as long as you commit to buying at least two glasses from that bottle. Dinner was delicious - bison sliders for a shared appetizer with etouffee and redfish as our entrees. From our viewpoint the noise level was distracting but it's a great spot for groups.

This is the second time we've eaten at Max's. Awesome again, which is saying a lot as expectations were high. As we did previously, we started with PB&J Wings in a Thai peanut sauce and blackberry coulis. Sounds funny, but this combo works, providing a full range of flavor and texture. I had the Famous Southern Fried Chicken, served with mashed potatoes, collard greens and Texas toast. Easily the BEST Fried Chicken ever! Tasty and "oh my goodness moist." Debi had the "Squashsta", which is zucchini "noodles" with a pomodoro sauce. She loved it! With dinner we drank one of my favorite Italian (yes) wines; Gaja Ca'Marcanda Promis, which was very, very reasonably priced. Max's is awesome and will now become a regular stop for us.

When my party all arrived and we went to the table. The water glasses on the table were already sweating. The server was friendly but slow. One of the items on the menu was not available per the server they ran out. After waiting about 45 mins before our order was taken. I ordered a chicken dish and was told it would be an additional wait time. So I changed my food selection so the others would not have to wait. The food still took over 30 mins before it arrived. So I could have just ordered the chicken dish. Also I requested a high chair and booster chair neither were at the table when we arrived and the menu on Friday nights is NOT kid friendly. The kids actually fell asleep because it took so long for the food to arrive.

I went twice and both times experienced awful service. The second time I went I literally had to stare down a waitress at the bar while 5 of them were just standing there chatting and no one had been to our table since we had been seated 20 min before. The food takes forever to prepare. They do have gluten free fried chicken though which is really good.

We have been to Max's in Houston on numerous occasions and had the most amazing fried chicken and Mac n cheese. But the Ft. Worth location was not nearly as good. Chicken was very bland and not well seasoned. Also the temperature on the chicken and Mac n cheese was not hot enough. My husband and I have introduced friends and family to the Houston location and love it. However we were quite disappointed with the Ft Worth location. On another note, service was great and ambience was great too

I found this place by scrolling through restaurants on Open Table. They share valet parking with Barcadia and Chuy's - we were told it's not listed because it's not always available. The service was OUTSTANDING. I would give it 10 stars. From the waitress, to the CHEF, to the manager, we were blown away! The hummus bread was SO good. Porkchops, Fish and dessert! It was all cooked great, and creative to please any foodie with a pallet for different. It's a little loud, just know that and you won't be disappointed at all. We will definitely be back for brunch and to try their famous fried chicken. I love that you can purchase the wine to take with you! Also, if you commit to two glasses, they will open any bottle for you.

Max's Wine Dive is a great spot that I highly recommend to anyone, but if you happen to be celiac or gluten sensitive this restaurant should be your new best friend. It's not easy to find gluten free fried chicken and Chef Stephon does it to perfection. They also have several other gluten free items including key lime pie, which was great. General Manager Cody is very good about recognizing gluten free patrons and confirming all of their needs are met. We will definitely continue to frequent Max's.

This was the first time we've been to Max's Wine Dive. It was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent. The food was also excellent. My husband had the chicken and I had the shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding. My husband said the chicken came in a close second to his mother's. From the previous reviews we thought we would be taking food home. The portions were not as large as we expected but certainly more than ample. We did not have appetizers, only entrees. We went to Max's on Valentine's Day. The place we busy, but we were seated promptly. The food (my wife had oysters, I had a special pork chop) was good, but not spectacular. Our waitress was very pleasant and her service was good. However, the noise level was so high, due to the volume of the music, that we could barely carry on a conversation when 18 inches apart. Went there was a break in the music, we could talk normally. We are somewhat older and prefer a quiet dinner, not trying to eat in a rock concert. I will not likely revisit them as this seems to be what others have noted.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice evening meal and the food was great. I had the Fried Egg Sandwich and my wife had the Fried Chicken. The wine choices were broad enough for anyone to find a favorite. We had reservations which were honored exactly on time. On the negative side the table seating is very close so romantic conversation and quiet discussions are impossible. The most disappointing experience however was the hostess who rudely advised us upon seating that the visit would be limited to one and one half hours. When we left slightly over an hour later there was at least eight tables open and no line waiting. I would have liked to stay a little longer and have a relaxing bottle of wine but we chose to move on to a more embracing venue.

We went for a casual Valentines a Day dinner. It was fantastic. Had a few of the appetizers and wine instead if the set menu, which looked great BTW, just too much for us at the time. Tried the Malbec on the waiters advice, it was very good. Instead of desert we had the late harvest Malbec. It was so good we got a bottle to take home. Simply a great experience overall.
