We had a wonderful time. My boyfriend took me there to celebrate my 30th birthday. Our waiter was fantastic! He helped us pick a wine that would go perfect with what we were in the mood to eat. I will definitely go back there. I can't wait. :)

I have loved the Dahlia since it opened. It's been so long since I've been there that I hadn't realized it had moved! The overall premise has remained the same, though - outstanding, innovative food combined with a wonderful ambiance and attentive and helpful but not overbearing service. I would recommend it to anyone.

All 4 of us enjoyed our meals - halibut, crab cakes and pork. The service was terrific. We told the wait person we had tickets for the theatre at 7pm. She helped us with our orders expeditiously, yet in a relaxed and friendly manner. We were able to eat without rushing - and made the curtain stress-free. Thanks!

Dahlia is an excellent choice for dining! We had excellent service, delicious food, fabulous drinks, and a wonderful environment. I loved the mix of items that were available on the menu and the fact that they have a bakery right next door, with speciality desserts, made our trip to Seattle even better. We couldn't have asked for a better location either... it was located just outside our hotel door! All I can say is... BRAVO! to Tom Douglas for another excellent restaurant!!!

I got food poisioning at Dahlia a few years back, causing me to miss dinner at Batali's that night (which I had been waitlisted for months). So when the girls suggested Dahlia for lunch, I really had to bite my tongue. But we had a great lunch. The food is always yummy and the service better than at most places. It made me realize I need to go back more often. I also love the wines they have by the glass. They are different than the run of the mill and allows me to try something different. Thumbs up for Dahlia.

The service was impeccable and our special order for Halibut Cheeks was accommodated easily. When the bar ran out of one of my guests favorite liquor, they went to one of their other restaurants to pick it up. My guests travel extensively throughout the U.S. on business and said this was one of their more memorable dinners out.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

I went to Dahlia for the food. It was definitely a restaurant I would return to again. However, our duck was overcooked but the rhubarb jelly saved the dish, and the pork belly was spicy but relatively tasteless and very fatty (we didn't eat it). I felt as though a different night might have yielded better results but was mildly disappointed by the pork. The drinks were great, and the appy sampler was absolutely fantastic, I would return for the sampler alone! If the remainder of my meal was a disappointment a second time around, I would cross it off my list for 3 months (new cooks are always around the corner) and return. I believe the chef has a good thing going with the restaurant, but more quality checks are needed.

The food was good; one of us found the rabbit sauce over salted. Other than that, it was fine food but not really exceptional. The atmosphere was wonderful and even though the restaurant filled up, we were never forced to yell at each other. The wait staff were extraordinary; they ensured we were content and they managed to serve without disturbing the gab fest we were engaged in. The assistance offered by the wait staff, particularly Liz, was great. We had an opportunity to explore wines and find a taste that worked for us and our meals. Unfortunately, we didn't give ourselves enough time to enjoy desert.

This was a very enjoyable experience. Went there for our wedding anniverssary and everything was just terrific. The food was very very good and the place itself was real romantic and just the right mood. The service though was what shone the brightest. Our server paid very good attention to detail, and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. She seemed to know exactly when we needed her. Had a great time overall... Very highly recommended!

A perfect experience all around. The decor is warm and welcoming ( and a fun surprise as you walk in - - much different than perception outside the building), the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the FOOD is the real star in the crown. Simply delicious and well-presented. Dahlia is expensive, but truly worth every penny - - each bite of food is unforgettable. I do wish their wine list were a little less expensive or that the 'house' wine were of better quality for those of us who did not want to order a whole bottle and did not want to spend $12 - $15 for a glass. But we left just awed by the dinner and experience. I highly recommend Dahlia, and also highly recommend its sister LOLA across the street!

Finally, a quiet cozy dining experience among all the loud restaurants in Seattle. Food is consistently excellent with unusual menu choices -- no chicken caesar salad here, hurrah! Wait staff is attentive and the seating is far enough apart that you don't hear other's conversations. The donuts for dessert are little pillows of love. Thumbs up!

Wine list NOT extensive and server was not well versed in the wines (she suggested a chardonney - with some oak? didn't want oaky) so I had to choose myself for a group - praying that I made the right choice for the special occasion. The server didn't seem to be able to determine from the limited whites - which were non-oaky, but structured, balanced, more complex than Saub Blanc.... After I picked the northern Italian blended white for the group, she commented.. oh that's very popular ?!? I can't blame her - it can only be the training time you put in to educating your servers......

I keep returning to Dahlia because I expect to be dazzled and, every time, I am. This latest visit was no exception. As always, the Sea Sampler was superb. In a repeat of two years ago, I discovered another great wine, an unknow up to then, picked right out of Dahlia's list. And again, as always, great service. I particularly appreciated that my request for a table by a window, made at the time I booked through Open Table, was gracefully accommodated. But for the delay at the border - I come from Vancouver - I would visit more often. My loss. Then again, I should probably take the time and make the effort for a NEXUS pass.

We had a great time and they gave me the exact table I requested when making my reservation via Open Table. Also, our party of four received a free dessert. Don't know why. We weren't big drinkers, didn't run a large food tab, nothing had gone wrong that they were compensating us for, I guess it was out of the kindness of their hearts. The Dahlia continues to be one of the most reliable dining experiences in town. The menu always contains new dishes along with the all time favorites. The waiters are pleasant but don't try to be your best friend. The people at the front door are extremely competent, obviously not the lowest kids on the totem pole. The food arrives hot and is well paced. W

The food and ambiance was wonderful, my entire party had a great experience there! At the end however, when the waitress took my leftovers to get packed to go, I did not hear back from her for a long time... As I was in a real hurry, I sought out for her. She said that apparently something got dropped in the dish and it had to be remade again. I didn't have time to wait, so had to leave without the delicious food that I intended to have later. It would have been better if she had informed me of the situation or offered an alternative solution (eg, to pick it up later on that night etc.), or better still - not to have had anything dropped in the food.
