    We were very disappointed because we had a $50.00 gift card that was only worth 35.00 because we had kept it for a while. The wait staff was not attentive enough--very young men. The waiter asked us if we would like to share salads; he didn't tell us it would add to our bill. The waiter overcharged for splitting the salads, and if we hadn't checked the bill, we wouldn't have found it. A dollar isn't much, but it's the principle of the thing. The manager gave us a rating card, somthing like this one, and asked us to fill it out and return it that night. I don't think asking for it right away is a good practice. We were busy talking and felt pressured. Food was good, a three-star restaurant.

    We have been to Aspen's on 4 other evenings, but our visit on April 5 was, by far, superior to the earlier otherwise excellent visits because of the skill and attention of our server, Glen. He was polished and professional without being either stuffy or too casual. Notably, he made our 11-year-old son feel very welcome; our son was with us that evening because we had received the Open Table notice about the B average report card offer. Our son enjoys being treated to occasional evenings that require manners and food-ordering skills beyond those needed at McDonalds. Glen graciously answered our son's questions about the steaks and desserts and made him feel as if he were a discrimating and "worthy" diner. Thank you, Glen and Aspens.

    This was the second time I visited Aspen's & both times I ordered the filet. On both visits I order the steak med.-rare. The first time it came to me raw in the middle so I sent it back for more cooking. What they did was cut it in half cooked it more & got it way over done. Horrible! I wasn't charged. 2nd visit (4/2) I told the waiter about the 1st visit & the issue with the steak, but I wanted to try again. When the steak came it was still undercooked so I sent it back & the waiter said he'd personally watch it to make sure it was not cut in half, etc. It came back to me and when I cut into it to check, it seemed o.k., however, as I ate on the steak became more & more done and less & less flavorful. It tasted as if it was microwaved! YUK

    We Love Aspen's. They always have great service and wonderful food. If there is ever a problem with the food they ALWAYS make it right. It's our favorite neighborhood restaurant! Tonight I enjoyed Aspens with 3 girlfriends and it was great. Two had prime rib, one a filet and I enjoyed their fried shrimp. All the meals were excellent. We were a little afraid to order the prime rib since the past 2 years or so the prime rib quality went way down however the gal's took a risk and tried it again and both of them were pleased. I was glad to hear it!!

    My wife said her filet was very good but my steak was just ok. I had the New York strip and the kitchen had difficulty cooking it medium-well. It came out medium, so the waiter took it back. It came back medium-well but somewhat crispy and tough on the outside; therefore, only ok. I have been to Aspen's before, and I will go back again, but will order sirloin or the filet. The ambiance was very nice and the wine list had some great choices; we settled on a bottle of Chateau St. Michelle Reisling (very nice). The waiter was cordial and helpful but not so helpful as to be disruptive. I applaud the young lady who seated us for not giving me too hard a time for being late for my reservation. She got us to a table very quickly.

    Two chopped salads were ordered without onions or cheese. Both arrived with onions and cheese. The salmon entree was not cooked throughout and was returned. The replacement dish had a piece of salmon that was half the size of the original. The server blamed it on "the Mexicans" in the kitchen. The steaks were excellent.

    Overall very disappointing. The kitchen did not get our salad requests right, and the server did nothing to correct the situation when it was brought to her attention. The salmon was undercooked the first time out, and returned fixed and tasty, but with a smaller portion. The 15 ounce filet special for the night was of average taste, and for $42.00 should have been much better. Would not return. For what they charge, can get much higher quality, larger portions and stellar service at other places.

    Aspen's has been a favorite of ours since we first discovered it a few years ago. The cuisine is always fresh, expertly prepared and delicious. The staff is courteous, friendly and prompt, and this upscale restaurant is cozy & comfortable. Need I say more?? :)

    My issue with this restaurant was that the food was not piping hot when served. It was warm, but not hot. Also, my steak which was to be cooked medium, which according to our server would be a warm red center, actually came out pink, which was fine as the steak was very tender. I would go there again.

    East Cobb location. we love it here, one of our favorites! cozy, comfortable atmosphere w/lots of stacked stone. Gorgeous and huge 2 sided fireplace separates bar from dining. great for a romantic evening or a nice spot to take the family for a special night out good traditional menu, quality food, quality service, very reasonably priced and always a consistently good experience. make reservations b/c it's always busy here on the weekends
