Red snapper soup was unlike anything we have had before. It was very flavorful and a nice texture. The halibut was also amazing - very rich. Steak had good flavor, but it was a little tough. Chocolate tarte and pistachio bread pudding were excellent finishes. I don't usually get into ice cream being served with desserts, but the scoop on the side complemented both dishes well. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

So excited to see the old favorite back in such a wonderful new space! The service was wonderful, though faltered a little (and just a little) when it got busier. And the food was everything I remembered! I'll be back often.

Like your new restaurant; very nice except that the lighting is too bright. Please town down the lights. Service was very attentive and good; however service/hopsitality are driven by the guests needs and desires not the restaurant. Twice we encountered restaurant policies. We were in the bar drinking waiting for our guests. We told the hostess we were goign to finish our drinks and be seated in a while. 5 minutes later the hostess came over and basically insisted in so many words that we be seated. We were talking to our friends and not looking at the menus fast enough We were naturally there a special occassion and ready to spend $ one of my guests asked for bread and were told we needed to order first, give the guest bread!

It was wonderful! The service was excellent and tha ambiance was a "rare-find". The decor and architecture made the feel of the restaurant unimposing, but impressive. I value restaurants that do not dominate the evening and Corduroy was just that! It was calm and lively at the same time! A great combination.

We were so happy to find the new location. I used to eat here a lot when it was at the Sheraton Four Points. The buidling is beautiful-it feels like you are in an actual house. The staff was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection. The food was amazing as usual! I wish them continued success and I am sure we will be frequent visitors

We had a table for 4 on a Monday night at 6:30. It was a most excellent dinning experice. Arguable the best food in the city--I would give a perfect 10 to the seared scallops. Service was great--excellent descriptions of food and all our requests were attended to promptly. For 4-star price, you get 5-star food and service. The brand-new location has a peaceful ambiance, but when the restaurant is full, it can be a little loud. I unequivocally give this restaurant the highest possible rating; to the chef/owner, well done, your restaurant is superb!

They need music in the main dining room. You could hear creaky steps & conversations in the back from way up front. Just some light jazz would help. The bar needs some pictures to jazz it up. Food & service were really great. We'll return!

It is wonderful to have this quality restaurant in its new Convention Center location. While the cooking was very good, my impression was that the new restaurant is considerably "fancier" than the previous restaurant and perhaps out of character with its currently pioneering location. I hope the restaurant tones it down a bit--there are very few restaurants even in DC where virtually all the men are wearing suit and tie! The price point is noticeably higher here, too.

Corduroy is a restaurant that makes clear its priorities; superb, fresh ingredients and straightforward preparation that capitalizes on those ingredients. The owner/chef is also a "wine-head;" pay attention to the staff's wine pairing recommendations. One last note: Corduroy is a good dining room where one can dine well, participate in a conversation, and gain and keep the attention of a professional staff.

I still crave that tomato salad. Next time I will probably not order any risotto that contains black ink, not something I really enjoyed. We discovered a lovely chardonnay that we both liked (un-oaked). The service was amazing and the special attention to help us find aforementioned wine was greatly appreciated. We'll definitely go back.

I've been to Corduroy on a few occasions now and every time has been a great experience. From the hostess to the bartender to the server everyone has been pleasant and helpful. My last two visits I've ordered the Wayguy Beef and it was prepared perfectly and was recommended a great wine to accompany it. It has a good-sized dining space and the lay out is such that I've never felt it overcrowded. I definitely plan on returning and highly suggest Corduroy.

The food is great. Since they changed locations, the service has kind of fallen off. When I sat in the bar area, it took them ten minutes to take my drink order and it wasn't crowded. I was just about to leave when he finally made his way over. A lot of the menu items were unavailable that night. Not sure what that was about...it will be a while before I return. When they were located on 13th St. I frequented the establishment often, but now that they've moved and the service has changed noticeably, I probably won't be back for a while. A year has alread passed and I haven't returned.
