A word from The Lucky Well
Food Network Star and restaurateur Chad Rosenthal has been recognized as one of the most talented purveyors of barbecue in the Delaware Valley.
His critically acclaimed Memphis-style ribs, brisket, smoked chickens and side dishes are unquestionably some of the best barbecue one can find north of the Mason Dixon line. Chad expanded his menu and brand, to include comfort food, a full al a carte menu, a full service Whiskey bar and a live music lounge... Also featured will be a Southern Style Brunch on Sundays, all day, all night....

The bar at The Lucky Well features a top-shelf whiskey collection, which naturally compliment the flavors coming out of the kitchen, along with craft-brewed beers and classic cocktails. Cocktails will include some of the ingredients used in the cooking process.

More information relating to The Lucky Well and its full scale music venue will be available shortly on our website.

Took way too long to get the food courses out to our table. Fish portion my wife had was embarrassingly small. Drink pours were measured and way too small for the prices. My bbq'd chicken was ok, nothing to get too excited about. Other entrees were ok, though no one raved. Poutine appetizer was underwhelming. Food was better when it was Rosies. Chad is a good guy. I hope they fine tune the operation.

The decor was very nice, the energy was good. Since the restaurant was only open a few days I wasn't surprised that it took awhile to get our food. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I went to the Lucky Well for our 30th Anniversary and i must say that the food was delicious. I had the 1/2 rack of bar-b-que ribs and they were fabulous. The dry rub seasoning was perfect. My husband had a bowl of chili, deliciously blended with the just the right amount of sweet and spice and the Jersey sausage, which he loved as well. My pear martini was great and the little petite pear in the bottom topped it off superbly. To cap off my dinner I had the banana pudding and it was too die for.The noise level is a little loud but that didn't bother us one bit. We met friends at the bar after dinner and had a great time. Chad was the ultimate host as he made his way around the dining room. All in all, a great night.

I went to the Lucky Well with a friend the first week it opened. The food was good, but definitely was not the best BBQ I have ever had. We had the port spareribs and wings with Mac & Cheese & sweet potatoes. We liked everything, but feel they still have room for improvement. I will definitely return in a few months once they have time to work out the kinks.

I would have to say that we were disappointed at best. Flavor profiles extremely bland on all levels, the sides particularly bad. The best part of the experience...the drinks, whoever is the mixologist bring your passion to the food!

Finally a restaurant in the suburbs when I didn't feel like I was the youngest person there by 20 years (and I'm in my late 30s!). The Lucky Well is FUN and the food is GREAT! The staff were knowledgable and friendly and the atmosphere is very upbeat. I can't wait to go back with a group of friends!

We had a great time! The wait-staff was knowledgable and attentive. We didn't know the difference between Beef or Pork ribs when we arrived, so we ordered a serving of each. They were both delicious and increased our awareness immensely. We were pleasantly surprized when the bill arrived. A great place to have dinner !

Food was incredible. Especially liked the wings and brisket. BBQ beans were fantastic as well. Great to see Chad walking around and checking with everybody. Our server Skyler was fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back and try some more food!

We went on opening night, so certain hiccups were to be expected. We still had a very good experience. I would recommend the fried mozzarella for an appetizer and the pulled pork for an entree. I was not impressed with the brisket, but we may have just gotten a bad cut. The half portion is definitely enough for one person, especially if you are adding sides. For sides, I thought the mac & cheese was just so-so, but the baked beans were very good. They have a really nice bourbon selection at the bar. I ordered the Rosey, which is their house or signature drink. It was very good. I would definitely go back and recommend it to fans of barbecue. I would put it a notch below Percy Street on South Street in Philly.

Everything was great. The only thing I recommend is more bartenders. We got there 30 minutes before our reservation to enjoy a drink at the bar first. We waited 15 minutes for 2 beers. The owner stopped by the tables to ask how everything was. That really gave it a warm neighborhood feel. :-)

Opening night can be hit or miss with most restaurants, not with The Lucky Well. The amount of training and time that went into the staff is evident. When you first walk in, the energy and atmosphere are exactly what Ambler needed. It is bright, warm and inviting. Love the subway tile behind the bar, the sliding barn doors, its all very thoughtful and smartly laid out. The FOOD! Beef Ribs are sensational, deviled eggs topped with bacon, banana pudding, clams I could go on. We LOVED it. Not to mention the cocktails and beer selection. Chad has brought classymessy BBQ to Ambler in a hip inviting environment - we will be regulars.

Lucky Well is a great addition to this neighborhood. BBQ is delicious. Ribs are a must order. Large menu with lots of unique options. Hush puppies with agave syrup and cream cheese are absolutely delicious! The decor is natural and beautiful. Bar is huge and yo can tell this restaurant is going to be the place to be on weekends! Highly recommend!
