   The Dover sole was wonderful, best we have ever had. Lovely preparation and without capers, the delicate fish was the star. Nicely paired with the broccolini. The kale salad was also delicious. This is one of the truly fine dining establishments around. Attentive service but not rushed.

   The Saddle River Inn is repeatedly #1 for best chef, best food, ambience and a special occassion reservation for a reason - they never disappoint! My wife and I come for birthdays and our anniversary each year - it is a special restaurant with tremendous food and service

   Quaint rustic setting with delicious food. Unfortunately our service was very rushed even though there were empty tables available for other diners. We were served three full courses in less than an hour! We have been much more enjoyable if better timing were allowed.

   My wife and I have the Pork Chop and they were scrumptious! Our friend had the Butternut - Pear Ravioli there wasn't even a drop of sauce on her plate, cleaned bare with a piece of bread, and my daughter had two appetizers The Meat balls that were on the special, just perfect and the Crab Salad (to die for) which all 4 of us had. Desserts were spectacular choices but we were so full we passed. I wanted to share one but everyone declined. Next time i will take it home with me.

   Always wonderful experience here a serene and peaceful for dinner. The staff Matt and Elizabeth are so attentive. My only suggestion is that they change the menu seasonally again. We were there in December and the same options we on the menu which are wonderful but I so looked forward to the changes. I did have the special to give me another choice. Other than that, this remains my favorite spot for dinner!

    We thought the food overall was very good not great. Meatball appetizer was dry and disappointing. Excellent salad special and the noodle appetizer was very good. The Dover sole was good as was the pork chop and black bass. Service was excellent!
