More than one person at our table's orders were incorrect. We realize that it was Thanksgiving but the quality of food, the overall service, etc. was horrible. Given that my parent are caring, generous people, we still gave our server a 20% tip.

This restaurant was a great pick for Thanksgiving where traditional turkey as well as prime rib and steaks were served. It was quiet, no screaming kids, and best of all no dishes to wash.

Never have to ask for a refill of your beverage and is always in the best spirits. An asset to any business!! The coupon and specials are always worth the trip to this restaurant chain.

Sorry.. .We've been coming to Black Angus Restaurants since the mid 70's and the past two meals at the Sunnyvale restaurant have been the worst we've had.. the prime rib tough and flavorless, the crab and lobster cold, and the mashed potatoes overly spiced and simply no good.

My family and I tend to stay away from BA because of the SLOW service. The food is fine when we are in the mood for steak, but the service is slow, and often inaccurate. Although they have a kids menu, I cannot say kid friendly, because kids don't sit that long.

The prime rib is always superb here at Black Angus. It's always tender and cooked to perfection...a nice light pink for my medium rare. The bread is so good that I asked for seconds. It comes to the table warm and flavorful...a nice robust flavor, dark and somewhat sweet like molasses and a crunchy crust with a sprinkling of oatmeal.

Altho our steaks were very, very good, they arrived too soon. We had ordered salads and were less than half-finished when the steaks arrived. It ruins the meal when everything is dumped on the table almost at once. Also, the waitress presented us with the check while my wife was still eating her meal. I don't know why she felt she had to do that as the restaurant was almost empty. We did see a public notice that the restaurant had changed hands. Perhaps, they need a break-in period to get it all together.

When the waitress brought our drinks, she presented us with a an appetizer plate, and compliments of the house for being your first time with us - (this was really a special touch). Food was wonderful and service was grand. This is really a true "great find" in Sunnyvale. Thanks you so much.

The restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived yet service was very slow. The table next to us arrived 5 minutes after we did and were served first and left 30 minutes ahead of us. I ordered the special trio plate (steak, pork, shrimp) and found only the steak tasted good to me -- the pork was dry, and the shrimp had either very strong lemon or very strong garic on it -- not a blend of the flavors that I think was intended. I think I'll stick to beef in the future. The ice cream served to my children came as a soup because the hot fudge had melted it all, which I think means it sat for a while before coming to us. Don't think we'll be going back again soon.

My son, his wife, my wife, and I went to Black Angus Steakhouse in Sunnyvale to celebrate a birthday. Two things were notable: 1) my son's ribeye steak did not meet expectations; 2) I did not get the steak that I ordered and was served another cut of meat that was well done instead. The manager did come to the table to verify what I was served and reduced the bill accordingly, so that was ok (as customarily expected); but my expectation of a ribeye, done that way I wanted, went unfullfilled. Maybe I will have to look somewhere else from now on?

Although we informed the maitre'd of reservations, she did not verify it on the computer or asked for our name but walked us to a table in the bar(reservations distictly asked for a certain sitting)so we asked to be seated in the dining area. She walked us out of the bar area, left us waiting in the lobby area while she checked to see if that were possible. When she returned, she lead us to the dining area and seated us. Request was for a table for 2, in a quiet and secluded area. The table she gave us could have seated 6 comfortably. Since it was early afternoon with very little traffic, we accepted the accommodations; didn't make any additional demands as it was our first dinner out together and the gentleman's 64th birthday.

Service did a great job this year for our Thanksgiving celebration. For next year it would be nice to offer larger portions or additional offerings of stuffing and sweet potatoes. The serving this year was a bit skimpy but with the pie we each left the restaurant happy and full. Having the waiter offer us a bit more serving of the stuffing or cranberries would have been a nice touch. Everybody loves stuffing.
