Service staff consistently been very good - they are friendly, very approachable yet professional and efficient. They have managed to strike a nice balance here with the staff. The restaurant itself is interesting as it has really beautiful modern water features. Not really and romantic venue as it is quite noisy. The food : I want to say its great but in truth it is mixed. For example I have had over cooked, dry salmon but I have also had a really delicious coconut curry sauce. I have had melt in your mouth steak with dripping in fat black rice. Desserts are always good. Wine list is good but mixed drinks weak - dont bother. I still feel comfortable recommending 709 as overall it is an enjoyable evening - especially for groups.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Food was very good, service was great, atmosphere also great. Can't wait to go in the summer when you can sit upstairs at their outside tables overlooking the street.

Food was good and service was very good but we arrived at 4:00 for a special dinner and they refused us a dinner menu. We were forced to have lunch. We had tickets for an event that evening so we didn't have time to eat else where.

Our waitress Ashley was outstanding. She knew the menu & specials and was able to make recommendations. She was energetic and positive and added to the fun in the atmosphere. When the computers went down and the things began to move slowly she brought us the pretzels dippers to make up the the slightly slower service. The only negative, they brought my husband appetizer and soup at the same time, but they were delicious. The entrees were great, my husband had the steak, and as a butcher he knows steak, it was perfect! I ordered sushi and it was fresh, delicious, and awesome! We've had lunch in the past and also Ashley was our server! We loved it for lunch as well. We cannot wait to go back...and it is a 50 mile drive for us.

  • Go somewhere else, not worth it.

When we walked in, the hostess was busy looking ar the reservation book and seemed absolutely ticked off that she had to stop what she was doing to get us seated. She didn't greet us, she just glared. Although we made a reservation, we were seated in the worst seat, in a corner at a table so small, the menu was bigger than the table. We asked to be moved and without hesitation were told no. Should have left then, but the waiter seemed ok, and maybe we could salvage the experience. Almost, but not quite. The dinner itself (crab cakes and filet mignon) were fair, the carrot cake was good, but the molten lava cake was cold and rubbery, barely edible. Overall the experience was not at all what was expected, and definitely not worth the price

709 ran out of their signature pretzel bites at by 7:15 PM. Waitress forgot to read specials for the evening. Very noisy accoustic level even in the rear dining area. Food was very good and fresh.
