Great food, with several different choices. Each person in our party of six had something different, with the exception of my wife and I. We both had the filet of sole. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their selection. Elisa, our waitress was very attentive without hovering over us. The complete staff wee friendly and efficient. The range of prices of the food varied, so that you did not have to spend an arm and leg to dine. We will be going back. The atmosphere was nice and not noisy.

What a surprise to find this gem in Dayton. The wood burning flatbreads were made to perfection, the sauces savory and rich. And, we even found a Duckhorn Decoy on the by the glass wine list! In a word: Satisfying after too much travel.

The food was good and showed well. However, the price tag was way too high for Dayton Ohio. My wife and I took our son and daughter. The kids had chicken chunks from the appetizer menu and shared a shrimp appetizer. My wife and I had fish entrees and 2 drinks each. The bill for that was north of $150. There are many other restaurants in the area that serve better food for a much more reasonable price. We wouldn't go back. ..

I chose Salar for a friends bachelorette party dinner. The ambience was perfect and the food was amazing. We had a small intimate little room for our group which allowed us to get a little silly without disrupting the other guests. My only complaint would be that our service was a little slow, but it wasn't a big deal since we enjoyed just hanging out.

There were three of us having dinner at Salar before going to the theater. We told our waiter our time schedule and he honored it perfectly. Margeux, the owner chef, stopped by our table for a chat makIng us feel welcomed. All three of us ordered the sole and we loved every bite. The servings were generous without being overwhelming; their house special cocktails were delicious with fresh fruit; the valet parking is a great feature, as well.

The food is always very good. Chef does a great job. Attended Wine and food pairing. Very well put together. Disappointed that open table does not give you points for this. So far I have not been pleased with open table, because I receive no points for Restaurants I have had dinner at. Example Eddie Merlot's. The Preceinct. I have sent E-Mail's to open table, but have not received a reply.

My first visit to Salar was outstanding. I can report no faults whatsoever with the food, drinks, service or facility. We started with the chicken thigh appetizer, which I liked much more than I thought I would. They were not greasy and the sauce really complimented the chicken. I got the pork filet mignon and my friend got the pork chops and we shared. Both entrees were delicious and we cleaned our plates! While the food was scrumptious, the drinks are really something to write home about. We each had two and tasted each other’s – all four were outstanding. The ones we tried were: Lima to Lima, Dark & Stormy, La Pasion and Cortes. You must try at least one of these unique, top-shelf cocktails. I cannot wait to return!

The booth in which we were seated was very uncomfortable. The foursome at the table next to us was a little loud but friendly. The seats on the booth were extremely short and there was no leg room. My husband and I were kicking each other all night. My husband ordered the sirloin with scallops, the scallops were delicious but the sirloin was dry, over cooked and horrible. I ordered the sole which had a sauce and cheese crust. There was too much sauce and I did not enjoy the fish. We did however enjoy our salad and corn chowder. I think the seating left us anxious to be done eating and ready to go home.

From start to finish we had a wonderful dining experience. Our server, Natalie, was very helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed the complimentary pita chips and cilantro hummus brought while we waited for our entrees. We ordered the rack of lamb and shrimp skewers. Both were outstanding! We followed with a wonderful dessert mousse whose names escapes me, but whose taste I long to have again! We look forward to returning to try more of the wonderful dishes. Also, the outdoor patio looked very inviting and we look forward to the warm weather to try that out.

I have been mourning the demise of Sidebar since it closed in this space about a year or so ago. I'm mourning no longer--Salar is a very worthy replacement. My group of 2 grew to 6 and then 7 at the last second, and they were very accommodating every time. Everyone was very impressed with their food--no complaints whatsoever. Mark, our server, was very good, and when we told him we'd have to rush to get to a show, he expedited our checks as well. We'll all be back!

We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Salar. It is on the pricey side and portions are small, but it's nice for a date night or special night out. It is very lively, but it's also super loud so you have to 'shout' to be heard. The cocktails are fun and tasty at $9+ and the beer selection is decent and averagely priced ($4-6). We had the scallop appetizer ($17) (excellent) and beef empanadas ($9)(just ok). For entrees we had the pork filet with potatoes ($14)(excellent), the scallops and steak (just ok)($27), the quinoa crusted fish (great), and the lamb special ($29)(good). Four cocktails, 2 beers, 1 iced tea, 2 aptzrs, 4 entrees, no dessert totaled over $200. When we feel like splurging, I would go back again.

Owner/ Maitre D...just wonderful and accommodating! Food was more impressive our first time there (Filet & Stuffed Chicken), but still good on our second visit (Fish and Pork Chops). Atmosphere is inviting but too congested and loud to consider for romantic or intimate engagements. Wait staff is perfunctory but not personable; wasn't even given a name on either visit. All in all, I highly recommend.

This place serves Peruvia food, not Mediterranean, All the dishes ordered were over cooked and dried, especially the Pork Belley and the Pork Tenderloin. My Chilean Sea Bass was not very fresh, came with a sauce that was bland and tasteless. The service, however, was nice. Our server, Sara, is friendly and efficient, she did keep my tea repleshed nicedly. The serving are generous, but, if the food is not good, we really do not need generous servings. I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

We recently had reservations at Salar for a birthday party celebration. I reserved the table through OpenTable (Yelp), and requested the Chef's Table. I had read reviews saying it was a great spot. I wasn't able to get a custom menu made before the party, but it really wasn't needed. Everything we had that night was outstanding. Pork belly and Empanadas for appetizers were great and shared. Our waitress suggested a wine and we ended up getting 3 bottles by the end of the meal. The meals were all great, I HIGHLY recommend the Duck Ragu Ravioli. I am not a mushroom fan at all (which this dish has a LOT of) but I could have licked my plate it was so delicious. Others in the group had the salmon, lasagna and another pork dish. All were great.

We were seated in the bar area right by the front door on a blustery cold night, so every time someone came in or out we were hit with a cold wind. Drinks took forever to get and were very weak. One person in my group received the wrong entree and the female server argued with her that she ordered wrong, she finally agreed to fix it but by the time the right entree came out the other 5 of us were done eating. They did not make any adjustments to the bill to reflect this mistake. She brought us our checks and we told her we wanted dessert still so she picked them back up and added desserts to them. The food was good but not anything to rave about. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
