We were staying in a vacation club resort on Marriott property and had originally planned to go off-site for a nice meal. We saw that Marriott provided transportation to the Marriott World Center so we looked at their restaurants and decided to try Siro. It is Italian/Mediterranean with tapas or small plates available. The Wedge salad was very well done, not creamy dressing, so it's a different flair, kind of deconstructed. The Eggplant Caponata was very tasty and with crisp toast and to finish I had the Margherita pizza. Just enough to fill me up. They were preparing for a large group to come in, so the staff was slightly distracted. It is in the Marriott World Center Hotel, which lives off of conferences, so call ahead.

We were asked if we wanted bread as she forgot to ask earlier but she didn't mention anything about a charge for it and the bread was hard and not very good at all. Also left out my order and when everything came I asked her if my steak was coming she is like yes of course. Medium or rare??? So she forgot to add it to my order and didn't apologize. Was not to happy.

Our overall experience at Siro was poor from start to finish. We dined early (5:30) so there were only a few tables occupied. Our first table was located directly below a speaker that was so loud that it would have been difficult to have a conversation. We asked to be moved and were relocated to a table near the entrance that was quieter. The music selection was fine, it was the volume that was the issue. Ordered several appetizers and each was very salty. There was a long pause before our entrees arrived. My entry was smothered in Parmesan cheese without a mention in the menu description. They did make another entree for me but my wife was already finished. We then waited over twenty minutes only to have to ask for our check.

Not what we expected for a top rated facility. More of a pub appearance with food to match. Appetizers very good. The mussels and veal meatballs were delicious. Entree of clams with fettuccine lacked flavor.

Surprising good for a hotel restaurant. The 2 of us treated ourselves using the $33 per person offer during September's Magical Dining event. Not only was the food delicious beyond belief, the presentation was fabulous. The offer included a shared cheese board, individual appys, entree, and desserts. Too much to eat. We asked for 1 appitizer and 1 dessert "to go". Hannah was an exception server, very knowledgeable about the menu. She also helped us to select an inexpensive ($34) bottle of wine. If you go spend and extra $4 for the olives in warm olive oil. OMG! Afterwards, take a walk outside around "Falls", the pool bar. The only disappointment....no bread to sop up the juices.

Went here for Magical Dining it was a Sunday so it was a bit quite. They offer the entire menu to choose from so the checks a varied. All of our choices were good - nice flavor and portion size. Would recommend and we plan to go back. They have some interesting wine / cocktail flights you can have with dinner.

Great experience. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in until the end. We were given the regular menu and when we asked for the Magical dining menu, our server just said "This is it--anything you want--And they threw in a complimentary cheese board to start out. Tremendous! Obviously more bang for the buck and highly recommended by us two foodies who pride ourselves in rooting out the best Magical Dining has to offer. Kudos to Siro!!

As we were the only people in the establishment when it opened around 5:30 PM, it was hard to "recommend" it based on our dinning experience. It did add a few couples as we left around 7PM, but there were less than 10 couples dining. We did the "Orlando Magical Experience" prix-fix meal for $33 per, plus the $10 perwine tasting. We each received 3, 2 Oz pours of a nice white, red and Moscato dessert wine. The staff was very good and the food was above average. We were able to choose anything from the whole menu (an appetizer, entree and dessert per), which was very nice. This along with the "meats board" was more than enough for each of us.

In Orlando for a conference and made reservations at Siro for my collegues birthday. i simply asked if Siro could do something special for her and they went above and beyond with a beautiful gourmet Italian cheescake that was decorated to the nines. The meal was absolutely awesome! Try the cheese board, golden beets and the fettucine.....SUPERB! A hidden gem inside a hotel

The food was fair, but not what we expected for a typical gourmet Italian restaurant. We found the selection to be strange & dishes not very complementary of each other. For ex.) beet salad served as an appetizer followed by hamburgers and French fries? The # of traditional Italian items offered was low. We hoped for pastas and poultry dishes, but were met w/ small flat-bread pizzas & only 2 pasta options. The meat dishes were unique but pretty unusual for those expecting standard Italian fare. Because we were a large group (~16), our server highly recommended a 'family style' option feat. their best dishes. I found this to be somewhat chaotic, a strange mix of foods, & confusing/dissatisfying to many in our group. Would not recommend.

  • New Italian Restaurant at Marriott
    Orlandofan
    Dined on 5/18/2013
This restaurant replaces the previous Italian restaurant at the Marriott World Center. I was very disappointed with this new edition. There are fewer food choices and the menu choices are VERY confusing. We had a very nice waitress try to explain the food choices but the noise in the restaurant due to the "open" design precluded anyone from hearing what the waitress was saying. I can see the "atmosphere" they were going for but the high ceilings, lack of walls, openness to the lobby and placement near stairs/esculaters, will make this restaurant an impossible place to have a conversation. I will not go back again unless the design has changed and I visit this hotel 4-5 times for meetings.

Food was outstanding and the staff were excellent. Seating in the bar or booths had great ambience. Outer area with wood tables needed better lighting, perhaps candle on the tables or small table lamps. The area had a high ceiling and in the evening it does not provide a environment for relaxing and enjoying the excellent food. Recommend the seating at the high tops, bar area, or in the booths. Wonder food and well worth the price.

I'd love to give the service 6 stars. Food is great, we enjoyed a bunch of tapas that we shared. Octopus & Garbanzo beans is my favorite, also great were the rock shrimp. If it wasn't so far from downtown, I'd gladly go back. The ambiance is not so great since it's almost in the hotel lobby, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. Service was outstanding.

Although a trendy spot, the menu was a little limited and expensive for what you get. The server was very sweet, but we felt a little forgotten after our food arrived--which took longer than expected due to the number of diners in the restaurant. If you're splurging and have a large group, this may be a great option. If you're really hungry, plean on spending at least $30 per person. Their foccaci bread is to DIE for, but their pesto is really bitter. I say give it a try, but there are some other options on site that are way more bang for your buck.

Being a local not crazy that this restaurant was in the middle of the lobby of the very busy Marriott. They sat us on the outside of restaurant so you can see everyone running past and the craziness of the hotel. No one came over after 8 minutes of being seated with water or introducing themselves. Food is tapas style so whatever is done comes out. You would think being an italian restaurant that would include some good italian bread, yes if you want to pay for it. Chicken was good veal not so good. mussels ok and kale caesar fair. Would not go back again. They should have sat us in the main dining room. If I would have know about it I would have insisted. Wine and liquor very expensive.
