We have partnered with Vela at 90 Portland St to introduce a unique patio bar experience that offers a 45-minute omakase dining option. This limited-time opportunity showcases a specially curated menu by Chef Masaki Saito, a renowned Michelin two-star chef. The menu includes 11 pieces of sushi and a handroll, providing Tachi sushi enthusiasts with a fresh and exciting dining experience. Join us at Vela to indulge in our delectable sushi accompanied by a selection of sake and beer.

Tachi was granted a Michelin recommendation in 2022 and also voted Top 100 by Opentable's Diner among 3000 restaurants across Canada. We are part of the same restaurant group as Sushi Masaki Saito (the first and only Michelin 2 Sushi Chef in Canada, #1 Japanese Restaurant across Canada) and Shoushin (Canada's 100 Best Restaurant) which specialize in Japanese Omakase. Tachi is the traditional way to eat well and conveniently.

Seems to be issues with booking using open table. No availability, and openings that have availability are for 6 AM (accidentally booked and mistook a 6 AM for 6 PM) Actual review: just a really great experience, very much enjoyed the first time, have been wanting to go again for some time 😢

The absolute best sushi in the city. Don’t miss this pop up. Apparently they will be opening soon at a fixed location and I’m sure you won’t get this deal.

For the quality of fish in Toronto, I think this is a great value. I have been to Japan and tried Omakase a few times - I would say this is at par to what I would expect from an authentic Japanese restaurant.

Eddy was a great sushi chef and delivered a wonderful experience. The only thing we missed from the old Tachi was the canned sake they used to serve.

Amazing way to have a tasting menu from a fantastic restaurant. The ambiance is not there as it’s a pop up but the food and service was amazing. They also have an venue inside vela on certain nights so look into that if you want a vibe
