We went during restaurant week and loved it! We had a reservation to sit at a table but got there early and ended up staying at the bar since the bartender was so great. Very comfy atmosphere and the pizza is perfect. We'll be back!!

  • Veramente Italiano!

Having lived in Italy many years ago, I've never quite found a pizza here in Baltimore that is "veramente italiano," but that all changed when I heard that Verde had opened here in Charm City. It took us a little while to make it down to Canton but Restaurant Week provided a good opportunity- 3 courses for $20? Can't beat that! The salads were perfectly dressed, the pizzas were perfection- Neopolitano style, with fresh, homemade Mozzarella cheese, and dessert- cannoli and flourless chocolate cake- rounded out a lovely evening. We WILL be back!

Fantastic Pizza! I just got back from Rome and I can honestly say that one bite of Verde's fresh mozzarella and I was taken back to Italy! It's a wonderfully decorated restaurant, simple but classy. Everything about Verde is great, one tip ... make reservations! This place is usually packed.

My husband and I and a friend went to Verde for the first time during Restaurant Week. My husband and our friend ordered from the Restaurant Week menu...I ordered from the regular menu. The appetizers were very good. I especially liked the arugula, bresaola, fennel and parmigian salad. Bresaola is not very common on menu's so when I see it listed it becomes a "must have". The pizza's were very good...mushroom pizza, pizza margarita, pizza arrabiata. The tomato sauce was light...excellent! Wine list - has a nice variety at reasonable prices. Lastly, the desserts...the Tiramisu was good...and I LOVED the No Flour Chocolate cake. A couple of issues: too many tables...the atmosphere, tho nice, is a bit claustrophobic...makes it difficult t

My only problem actually was a big problem. I made this reservation from the Restaurant Week website. The hostess/waitress acknowledged this as well. I was very distracted, as I was treating my friend, who had just lost her husband to cancer, to an afternoon out. The menu given to us was for dinner, apparently, rather than lunch. A single line at the top 'explained' the menu' but wasn't very clear. The waitress asked us for salad, pizza and dessert orders specifically. My check was larger than I expected, but my friend was emotionally strained and I wanted to get her home. My later call to the owner about the mistake told me that we ordered off the wrong menu and ordered more than we should have. Sadly, it ruined the experience.

The food was wonderful! The owner stopped by our table several times which we liked. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service however was just so-so, which is a real shame. We felt rushed out as we were handed the tab basically with dessert and we would have stayed and enjoyed another glass of wine. Also, our pizzas came out and we weren't given utensils or small plates for sharing (had to ask for them). Overall we will be back though. Would recommend.

Best pizza I've had in this country. I lived in Northern Italy for 14 months, and have been craving some authentic Italian pizzas. The ingredients were fresh, and everything was well prepared. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Service was great ,and the owners seem to be on the floor as well greeting everyone. I can see some people complaining about the prices of the pizza, but its really worth it.

I was really impressed with Verde. It had a European bistro feel, which is unique for Baltimore. Amazing food, good wine. I felt a bit jammed in there, but maybe that's just part of the Euro vibe. Will be returning!

We were looking for a fun, casual night our for New Year's, and found Verde's on Open Table. It was everything we were looking for. The food was great, the owners and staff were friendly and fun. We loved watching the chefs prepare the pizzas! A great New Year's Eve! We will definitely go back again during the year.

Went on New Years at 745. The food was terrific but the logistics/setup of the tables was not well laid out. Folks had to squeeze by to get to seats and sit uncomfortably at times. Wait-staff was very polite but looked extremely stressed and were slow to assist customers. Mind you, it was new years eve, but there were maybe 35-40 people tops in the place, 2-3 waitstaff, 2-3 runners and at least one busser. The pizza was phenomenal and is definitely worth trying over and over again. Aside from the hectic-ness, the place is great, really cool inside and has a great vibe!

This was a delightful meal on a very cold winter day. The pizza was delicious and not like any other I've had in Baltimore. Verde sets new standards for quality pizza in Canton and our in-City area. The salads were also very tasty and fresh and were dressed perfectly. This will be our go to place for pizza when we want a pizza and salad meal.
