I think this restaurant is wasting some potential. The meal was great, the restaurant and bar looks awesome. For a Saturday night in Orlando, there were very few people in there. Our bartender seemed like it was the last place she wanted to be, although the other servers seemed pleasant. Maybe this is a one-time occurrence. The food is probably worth giving it a try.

MoonFish is a restaurant that I have loved for several years. The food and service are always consistently at a high quality level. We began our dining experience in the bar with a couple of really good drink and great service. This time we tried the grilled oysters and boy were they terrific. The grouper, oyster, crab entree was also worth mentioning because it was grilled to perfection and very delicious. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the 2 desserts we tried which were the pineapple cake and mango tiramisu. Both were made by an outside bakery and just mediocre. I must end on a positive note to say I would absolutely go to MoonFish again.

The food was good, not great. I wish that they had more seafood offerings that were plain and simple. My black grouper was much less appealing than a plain broiled version. The addition of oysters and a sauce ruined the dish. I will never go back and would never recommend this restaurant to friends

The food was outstanding, but the service staff was a little bit disjointed. Meals arrived at different times as well as side dishes. Attention to detail was just a little lacking in the presentation by the staff. The waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive and the manager was courteous and engaged. The food was delicious.

Food was awesome, so much so that we made an additional reservation to go back before our return to Toronto. The only negative is that we felt rushed; the wait staff came to our table quite often to ask if we were ready to order, but I had taken important clients out to dinner to relax. On the plus side, the atmosphere was great and the restaurant offered free valet parking. Did I mention that the food was awesome? Have the mahi-mahi.

Had a very nice meal here. All 4 of us were very happy with appetizers and main dishes. My only knock on the meal would be that the martinis were a bit watery and small to boot. Service was 7/10, waiter was personable but could have used a little more face time, but at least we weren't rushed in and out.

My uncle passed away and we did not get to celebrate my birthday so it was a special occasion for us...I have to say this was the best dining experience we have had in a long time...food was superb and our waitress was very attentive...believe me when I say "we will be back"! The only thing is be aware dinner is not served before 5 P.M (we had tried for 4:30). ALL IN ALL A WONDERFUL PLACE GREAT ATMOSPHERE ... It was music a little jazzy we prefer elevator music:) but it was NOT obnoxiously loud all in all pretty quiet on our night out and that is hard to find these days (we went on a Sunday evening)

This restaurant is part of a group of local fine dining restaurants. We preferred this one over the other one we tried (Johnnie's Hideaway). The bread and the desserts were the same. While they were very good, we were somewhat disappointed that they were not different. However, the fish was fresh and tasty and nicely presented. One person in our party ordered a steak and it was prepared entirely to his liking. The server was a little over the top. He seemed to be proud of his knowledge of everything on the menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Our waitress was very good, as were the management staff.I chose stuff shrimp and scallops for my dinner.Unfortunately,no where on the menu did it explain that they added Thai spices, which were, to my palette, very spicy.I returned my meal.I had visits from both the manager, both very nice. They offered to bring out an appetizer of shrimp or crab legs, which I declined. It did not make up for the 20 minute delay I had with my meal.My husband was almost done by the time my meal came out.The best solution would be to include the fact that there were spices being used to heightened the taste of the meal. I than would have asked about the spices. In my online reservation I noted that it was my husband's birthday. No mentioned of it.Disappointing

Whenever I am in the dr. Phillips area, the restaurants have not yet opened for dinner. My mom and I were so excited to get to try a new place. Although we have not tried all of the restaurants in the area, moo fish has catapulted to our favorite. We might dine there a few more times before trying a new place. Everything we ordered was delicious. The yellowtail Japanese pizza was unlike anything I've had before; like eating a sushi pizza. The desserts are huge. At least 4 people are needed to finish one

We highly recommend going to MoonFish even despite the couple of things that didn't go "perfectly" for us - hopefully a one time thing? They were extremely busy the night we went and while it seemed they had enough staff it was still mobbed and a few things to took quite a while. So go with plenty of time! Don't go if you're looking for quiet, low key, romantic. Food is fabulous.

Had eaten at the Moon Fish a year ago...excellent all around experience....one of the best dining experiences in years...loved the fish....the service was perfect....returned this year....different time...different results...nice gal of a waitress.....knew too much about the menu, the wine, etc....nice young gal but overkill....more, much more info than I needed to know....the Mrs. Had salmon...which the waitress insisted she order not well cooked...wife loved the meal, but it bothered her that the fish was not well cooked. I ate grouper...totally different recipe than the year before....it was very salty...nice taste, but overall turned me off. Took 45 minutes to get coffee and the bill paid after finishing dinner.

It was a decent experience but not great. Our waitress never offered us a hot towel prior. She didn't provide napkins until we asked for them. Then didn't apologize for forgetting. Ordered a drink and didn't taste like it was mixed very well. Food took a long time to come out, for a sec I thought they had forgotten about us. Once we got our food and started eating, my steak tasted good but it was luke warm and not hot. The salmon my guest ordered was amazing. Mashed potatoes were amazing as well. Once we finished we asked for the check and she brought it, but she never thought to ask if we wanted a box. So I had to ask her, and she brought them eventually. It was a decent experience, but not worth the price if that's the service.

Service was very, very good. Was a bit surprised at the bill - it was as high as any restaurant in Orlando. Food was good, but not "awesome". The disappointing dish was the seafood sampler - it was pricey - and came with fried lobster. Fried lobster is not my idea of fine dining. The cocktails offered were also pricey. So my issue with Moonfish comes down to price/value. You might read this and think I look for cheap places - I don't. Spending $75/person for me is common. But I have to feel it was worth it. The prices at Moonfish are high enough that one needs to be blown away. I was not. If the prices were more reasonable, then I would reco to others.

Up until a few years ago, the quality of the food was excellent - it is now wanton. From the seating, booths to close and too tight, the menus faded, no one to refill glasses and clear dishes except the waitress, the poor quality of the salad (the original was a great choice, why change the obvious - remember the adage "if it is not broken, don't fix it", the quality and quantity of the entrees, the "upgrade" of bread was a downgrade, no butter or dipping oil for the bread, just to mention a few. The serving staff was pleasant and helpful. One our entrees was a special, had a bad odor, and not special. We do not plan on visiting again, since the quality has gone down.

While most of the restaurant seemed quite nice they sat us in a back room that smelled moldy at folding tables that had table cloths over them with what were obviously some extra, old chairs they had stashed somewhere for busy nights. The restaurant was very busy, and they attempted to have teams of waiters serve patrons so that there would be sufficient coverage. This did not help and instead we waited a ridiculously long time for food and drinks, and a meal for three took about 2.5 hours...this was after waiting 30 mins past our reservation time. My husband, who ordered a steak, enjoyed it very much, my father and I ordered grouper that was overcooked (rubbery) and tasteless. This was not at all what I expected for the money that we spent

This place is overhyped. We made a reservation and were kept waiting 40 minutes past it. Service was slow and spotty. Took forever just to get some bread. Then the bottle of wine we ordered wasn't available; so they recommended another; then they found the last bottle of our original request. That added a lot more time to what was already a late and prolonged evening. Food is very expensive and not very well prepared. I had a $33 grouper that was dry. The lobster tail appetizer was also a bit dry. The two a la carte side dishes were pretty good, though. Lots of hype, no payoff. Disappointing

This was probably the WORST dining experience I’ve ever had. I was taking my father for his birthday and between the awful service and below average food, it could not have gone worse. When arriving for our 7:15 reservations, we were told it would be a few minutes… we were not seated until 8:15. While waiting, we had to beg and plead for any attention from the bar tender to get a few cocktails. When we were finally seated, it was another 20 minutes until anyone came to our table to greet us. We put in our drink orders and waited patiently for another 20 minutes. When they never came, we decided to brave our way up to the slow, barely attended to bar and were able to get drinks before we received our drinks at the table. But no matter how ma
