Everything at Arcade Midtown Kitchen was excellent. The atmosphere is modern and comfortable, with lots of natural light. The menu is eclectic (e.g. lobster tacos) with quite a few seafood choices. The lime chile calamari appetizer was superb - perfectly cooked. The George's Bank Diver Scallops with green chile grits and bacon salsa was delicious, and refreshingly creative. For dessert we had the roasted bananas - luckily we asked our server to describe it, because the name didn't really convey what it was. It was a creamy banana mousse stacked in layers between flaky phyllo pastry, drizzled with a salted caramel sauce. It was the perfect end to the meal. Arcade is expensive, but worth it. Highly recommend.

After a recommendation from a friend I was a little hesitant to go because of bad reviews regarding service, however we had quite the opposite experience. Our server was fantastic! The food was delicious... we had the shrimp pineapple flatbread, I have to say the shrimp was my least favorite part of the dish, but overall I would definitely order it again. We also ordered the filet and fish of the day, both were very good and cooked to order. The only downside of the experience was our table right by the bar. Unfortunately some rude bar patrons though the extra seat at our table made for a good leaning post and were soon block half of our table... thankfully our server was kind enough to move us and the rest of the night was great!

This was our first visit to Arcade Midtown Kitchen. From cocktails before dinner to dessert, everything we ordered was fantastic! The Lobster Taco, side dish of Brussel Sprouts and Banana Salted Caramel Dessert were all great, as well as the PB Meatballs, Calamari and Salmon dinner that we ordered. We will definitely return to Arcade Midtown Kitchen!

Food was delicious and the restaurant overall had a good vibe to it. The only thing I did not likd was the service. Everyone was very friendly except for our waiter. Me and my sister are 21 so we were the youngest table there. The waiter treated us like we had no business eating at such a nice restaurant. He wouldn't even look at us when asking how our food was. It was obvious he did not want to serve us at all... We obviously didn't let this ruin a delicious dinner and we even left him a good tip (he probably thought we weren't going to tip him)

The meal was ok but not exceptional. Drinks were outstanding. Really was rubbed the wrong way when we left and the GM, bar manager, and two hostesses were at the front host stand and none of us acknowledged us or thanked us for coming. They were too busy having their own personal social hour. Very tacky!

The food tasted very good. I ordered several items from the appetizer menu and the portions were very generous. I ended up taking quite a bit home with me. The mushroom and goat cheese flatbread was really good as was the salad. I also enjoyed a cocktail with grapefruit juice. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We had one minor problem with an incorrect bill but he straightened it out quickly. I definitely plan to return.

Great atmosphere, great food. My husband and I celebrated our 6th anniversary here, located right next to the Pearl Stables where we had our wedding reception. The bar and wait staff were knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant. The P&B meatballs for starters, and catch of the day as main course were fantastic!

The food was fabulous, and the service was okay...until they got busy. Our waitress was very attentive at the beginning, but it didn't end well. When our dessert and coffee came out, the coffee was cold and we didn't have forks to eat our cake. (Sidenote: The red velvet cake was not great. Very dry.) We waited for a while to try to catch our waitress's eye to no avail. We then asked the hostess for assistance, and it still took quite some time to get forks. The coffee was also charged incorrectly on the bill. As we were on our way out, we asked for change at the bar for the valet, and the bartender acted as if it was a huge imposition. What started as a wonderful experience didn't end as such.

If you're in the neighborhood and looking for interesting , though expensive cocktails, this is the place. We sat outside, which was too warm, and the noise was fairly high with the indoor/outdoor bar bleeding noise from inside. Our waiter was terrible. He didn't know the menu and had a hard time describing dishes, which is necessary for staff there since the menu descriptions are not very helpful. The food was meh. Lobster taco was fantastic, the salmon had a terrible flavor from the chorizo that made taste like it was marinated in liquid smoke. The scallops were tasty (green chili grits were fab; the bacon too overpowering). The New Mexican chili mashers were bland, so that was disappointing. The wine 3x markup is high to say the least.

We were dissapointed with the service. Waiter was unfamiliar with the specials, ordered wine by the glass and he substituted a different wine without notifiying us and chargine $5 more per glass. Food was good, but not near the hype the restaurant was receiving. We were visiting from out of town and realized it was probably more of a local "place to be seen" then great culinary treat.

Wait staff still a little unsure, we kept having to flag down our waitress to order food. Lobster taco highly overrated,(more like a potato taco with a little lobster in it) but was tasty. Calamari is a must-have. Flat bread with ancho shrip, peppers and pineapple the perfect mix of sweet & spicy.

Had a great time at Arcade Midtown Kitchen. Went with a group of 10 and got seated quickly and service never missed a beat in spite of our size. We orderd a lot of stuff on the menu. The filet and rib-eye were incredible. The scallops were some of the best I have had. The calamari was different and very good. The Chocolate Pudding Cake was a chocolate lovers dream. The only misses were the Mussels. They were chewy, very fishy, and gritty. Do Not Order. The red velvet cake was also a bit dry. It is important to note that I made a comment about how bad the mussels were and the chef sent out mushroom flat breads that were excellent for free. I will revisit Arcade.

Really good food. So happy to have another restaurant in the Pearl. But don't go if you have a hearing problem as it is loud, in that "lots of hard surfaces" Bistro kind of way. Only real criticism is the wine list. Way too much California and New World wine, and the prices for wine don't really match the prices for food. Seems like more of a cocktail kind of place, but if you are going to have a chef in the kitchen, you need to have something between "museum event" and "cellar for a few years" wine!

First visit to Arcade and things are running rather smoothly for just opening. We arrived for a 7 p.m. for a 7 p.m. reservation, and waited 10 minutes when the place was virtually empty (weird). Otherwise, the waitstaff is ample and seemed anxious to please. Our waiter recommended several dishes and we took his advice. The lobster taco was good (really more of an enchilada), mussels (the largest I've seen, so slightly chewy), mushroom flatbread (lots of goat cheese). The salmon entree was perfectly cooked, and the chicken included tasty roasted vegetables. Would definitely return.

Arcade Midtown is delicious! Don't expect a full on arcade with skeeball and Pacman and all the bells and whistles. Arcade has a open floor concept with little details like the plastic crates as lights and the Zoltar machine that can give you a fortune for 50 cents. Our waiter was great had a lot of information about everything. We shared 3 plates and had dessert. We enjoyed the lobster taco, the pork belly spread, and the shrimp and pineapple flatbread. All had such a great flavor. The champion by far was the lobster taco this is a must get dish!! After dinner we enjoyed the banana stack and the chocolate cake both executed to perfection! I highly recommend Arcade and then take a stroll around the Pearl! Happy eating!

Chef Jesse Perez has done an amazing job with this restaurant. The ambiance to start with is great...very laid back but classy. The food goes right along with the ambiance and probably exceeds it....just amazing. we had the pork and belly and calamari as starters which just started off the culinary adventure. I had the australian lamb chops (first time i have seen it on a menu in san antonio)...and it was cooked perfectly...huge fan of the coriander rub used for the lamb. I had a few cocktails from the mixologist which were very good. The service was excellent...they were very attentive to your needs. i will definitely plan on coming back here multiple times. my goal is to try to get a seat at the "kitchen table." definitely a must.

Enjoyed the food and ambiance, but it didn't quite live up to the hype surrounding the anticipation of a J. Perez debut at the Pearl. Started with the mussels & lobster soft taco, which were very well prepared and quite tasty. Ordered the fresh fish of the day (grouper) with Brussels sprout and arugula, followed by dessert; which were all well prepared and tasty. The service was...adequate. Although our waitress seemed very determined, it was undermined by her erratic inability to wait tables. Our reservation was for a (seemingly)non-bustling 6pm on a Friday, and the cocktail (singular) I ordered came after 15+ minutes of waiting on a "backed up" bar, though somehow my fiance got hers immediately.Overall it was 6.8/10.Hated those chairs btw

We had heard a lot about this place, but were initially disappointed by the not-so-exciting sounding menu items (and the actual menu was much smaller than the online menu). Our waiter was ok, but didn't seem to be as knowledgeable as you would expect. We settled on the lobster taco for the appetizer. It was small, but WOW - fantastic! I had the fresh catch of the day for my entree, and my husband had lamb chops with fig mole sauce. Both were fantastic! Our wines by the glass were great - my albarino was perfectly chilled, and my husband's pinot noir was amazing. The chocolate pudding cake for dessert was really rich, but also very tasty. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised! We will definitely be back!
