This was a great dining experience. I used to be in the business myself as a Chef and the food here was very, very good. I intend to go back several times during the next year and will tell my friends about this place. Good job. Nate

Not my cup of tea. I enjoy foo foo food and good chefs, but this was a little over the top for me. Did not care for the food. Did not care for the food and seasoning combinations.

Beautiful ambience, but be warned it's very dimly lit at night for a late dinner. It a small place, and with the live jazz band it is difficult to carry on a conversation - but loved the jazz band so pick your poison! Food very well presented and an amalgamation of wonderful tastes. Parking a bit of a problem - looks like there is a lot of new construction so limited right now on parking spaces. Had a lovely evening - want to return!

Our group of six went for the regional wine paring menu. The food was terrific, the only hitch being a poor wine match for the second course. Everyone was very impressed with the value and quality of the dinner.

While Vita can be a touch loud, especially on nights with live jazz, it's an amazing restaurant. Service, food, and ambiance are consistently among the best I've ever had. I make it a point to go often, as I have never been disappointed at Vita. My latest venture to the March Regional Wine Dinner featured some of the best food and wine pairings I've experienced. Chef Max does an exemplary job with fine menus, and the service staff (top to bottom) is always everything you want them to be. Wine list is great, cocktails are tasty, and when the weather is nice -- DO NOT MISS -- the patio outside or the patio on the rooftop. Fun views of the city, and an amazing atmosphere and food easily place Vita among the top three restaurants in Den

  • The dinner (quality of food)
    Uptowngirl
    Dined on 3/21/2008
The dinner (quality of food) and service were great. However, the timing between the courses was extremely long. We had reservations for 8:15 and didn't leave until about 11:30. We had the time so it wasn't an inconvenience but they need to speed up the dining process by about 30%. We should have been out in 2 hours not 3. Also, I had pre-ordered a dessert for a birthday event and it was delivered to the wrong table. I brought that to their attention and they did deliver the dessert (sans candles) and still charged me for the dessert. Great jazz music, very attentive staff. Kitchen needs to support them with faster service.

  • We were seated at the table
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/21/2008
We were seated at the table closest to the band (one foot away). Our table was also within 10 feet of the bar. Even when we shouted at each other (party of five) we couldn't carry on a conversation. IF we return on a Friday night, we will insist on being seated at the upper dining room to increase our odds of having a dinner conversation. After an immediate request to be relocated, the only option our party of five was given was a 4 top table. The food and service was outstanding but did not compensate for this noise. An excellent dining experience consists of good food, good service and good conversation. Conversation was impossible. Not difficult, impossible.

For being on a Sunday night when the restuarant was not that busy, I thought the service should have been a little more prompt. We had five adults and one child and the bill of $250.00 was higher than I expected. Also there was not menu items for kids.

Wonderful food, fun atmosphere with live jazz music but very loud. Older 40+ something crowd in general. Not cheap ($120+ not including tip for 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 cocktail, 1 wine, 1 dessert, 2 coffees). Summer rooftop dining with great city views.
