Food was lovely and staff and service was excellent. Will be returning this week tot try the dinner menu6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThir13en is a foodie findMy wife and I ate on a sunny but comfortable weeknight evening. The outdoor setting was enjoyable. We have eaten at this restaurant before and the food has always been perfectly cooked and seasoned. That night was no exception. I had an excellent homemade pasta dish with artisanal sausage and my wife had a fish entree that was so perfectly Japanese in its execution she could have been in Japantown San Francisco. By arriving before 6 we got glasses of wine with happy hour pricing, and it was a happy experience all round.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA totally relaxed and comfortableA totally relaxed and comfortable place for brunch/lunch - The atmosphere is great and the service friendly , pleasant & efficient . Also , & most importantly the food is excellent and served in just the right quantities . Asd a Brit , I find many American establishments serve far too great an amount of food ( in the hope of establishing better value ) and you are totally "overfaced" by it .6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMLovin' the Thir13en!!!Wonderful place! Started out with two Mai Tai's that were amazing!!! ..Don't miss sharing the mac and cheese..wow...talk about comfort food! We also shared the Ceasar Salad..very nice. My entree was the halibut , fresh and grilled nicely with a sauce that was light and so tasty! Husband had the burger with pepper jack cheese..he didn't leave a crumb behind..the fries were fresh cut, thin...ambiance was lively, staff friendly and informative, decor very tastefully done...a great experience..would visit again!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMInnovated food and Wonderful patioInside can be a bit noisy, but the patio, with the wonderful Sacramento Elm Trees for shade is fabulous. The food is innovated and delicious!! So glad the chef opened this location! Service was excellent and paced just right! Will return again and again.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of our favoritesWe always love our dinners here. We'll have to try the brunch someday.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMsix0sixOverall fine; food was good and mixed drinks excellent. Service was polite and attentive but very slow; said they had to make up fresh batch of salad dressing. Otherwise fine.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOutdoor GemIf you like outdoor seating,.. Great happy hour prices too.... Try it, you won't be sorry.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect outdoor patio brunchPerfect outdoor patio brunch with unique brunch ensemble5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost perfectWe sat outside for brunch last Saturday. Everything was perfect, except for the soundtrack. A greater effort in providing a variety of music, that is so easily accessible these days, would be appreciated. For example, since you are focusing on local food, how about local talent such as music from the DeWalt/Taylor Jazztet or Jackie Greene? Thanks.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe sat outside. It was a niceWe sat outside. It was a nice day. Weather was very nice. Food and service were excellent,5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Evening!Great place for cocktails and dinner. Nice atmosphere and setting. The drinks and food were great!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful patio for outdoor diningBottomless Mimosa's and a beautiful patio on a spring day make for a great setting for a Sunday brunch. Service started a little slow but improved through the course of brunch as the Mimosa's kept getting refilled. Sacramento, what are you waiting for?4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMChef Pechal and his team atChef Pechal and his team at Restaurant Thir13en have raised the bar in Sacramento for no-fuss and approachable farm-to-fork cuisine. My scallop dish was spot-on. Fresh pasta was fantastic, and the house-cured meats and cheeses comprising the charcuterie board were really fantastic. Service was attentive, friendly, and professional. Kudos!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI got there before my partyI got there before my party so had a drink and appetizer while I waited. The service was great at the bar and the happy hour menu was pretty big and had very good prices. The crabcake was $5 and vodka tonic was $6. Both of us had the burger and shared the fries....the fries were brought out before the burgers however they were good and a server brought out a special 13 dipping sauce that had a twang and was really good. The burger was great, but will need to come back and try the halibut. Our main server knew a lot about wines and was very helpful. Overall great experience and sitting outside on a beautiful Friday evening was an extra bonus. Will definitely come back.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter luck next time?!I've been here twice for lunch- pricey, however delicious. I've tried two items on the lunch menu, both of which I rate as 10 out of 10- The Waking Ninja, and the Steak salad. The issue on both of my visits has been with the service. The first time I had the Waking Ninja and I had to wait about 35 minutes, which was actually worth it. My second visit was at noon on a Thursday-after ordering the Waking Ninja again, the waitress took 15 minutes to return and tell me they were sold out. I was disappointed, but decided to try the steak salad. The worst part of this, is that the rest of my party received their lunch, and my salad took an extra 35 minutes, arriving after everyone had nearly finished. No apologies or discounts were offered.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always the service is impeccableAs always the service is impeccable. Food is excellent...consistently excellent. enjoyed both anniversary and birthday meal here. Ambiance is always so relaxing.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThank you for Easter Brunch.Thank you for Easter Brunch. We had a nice time, but there is just one thing that could have been better. We all thought the brunch menu was too limited, but we all enjoyed our meals. I think we will return to try you guys again. Actually, my first impressions wasn't the best as we got there early and there was an employee meeting at the bar..we were wondering around for a few minutes before anyone even said hello.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly enjoyableThe meals were excellent. My husband would have preferred the lamb be boneless, but since it wasn't, he chose the scallops, which he said were tasty. My quail was excellent. Very flavorful. Chose not to have dessert since nothing really appealed to us. The owner mentioned a new pastry chef will be starting in a few weeks. So, my husband and I will return for dessert at a later date. Wine and champagne prices were average and the wine and champagne selection was nice.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe shared a raised communalWe shared a raised communal table and had a great time. Good layout for a group of 8-10 and easy for everyone at the table to communicate with one another. Cocktails were delicious.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
