When you walk in you will notice all the unique touches they have done that make this place so special. We loved the open kitchen concept and they pull it off without it interfering with the dining expereince. Our head waiter, Keith, was top notch and made suggestions that enabled us to do a bit of a tasting menu derived from items we wanted to try on the meno. The restaurant does not disappoint. Great service from the staff, amazing food as well. The crab beignets, melt in your mouth good, the Pimm cup? Reminds me of my favorite childhood candy - watermelon jolly ranchers with a kick! I ordered the special - grillades and grits paired with the Mauritson Zin, both were amazing, I cleaned my plate. My only regret was not having a bit of bread to enjoy the sauce left on my plate
Highly recommend for brunch, romantic occasions or a group dinner. Even stopping by for a drink at the bar is fun. I'm a big fan of Emeril's and normally hit NOLA's when I'm town but I think Emeril's been replaced for a bit!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolute PerfectionI had been wanting to try Restaurant Revolution for quite a while and finally had the opportunity to go and I have to ask myself... Why did I wait so long?! As the title implies, everything about the dining experience was perfect, from the waitstaff that served us hand over foot to the unbelievable selection of fine wines (they have a 10,000 bottle cellar and wines dating back to 1921) and incredible menu (with over 86 items including special flights of caviar... which we had and may I say, incredible). The dining experience was terrific, the waiter even showed us the wine cellar after we finished dinner. For such a fine restaurant the prices are actually quite reasonable for food, this has quickly become a new favorite of mine. This topped them all. The service was great- very attentive and honest in suggesting menu items. All the dishes- crab beniets, salumi, scallops, pastas (I couldn't decide between two so our server suggested getting a half portion of each! It was so thoughtful) and bread pudding- were cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly and beautifully plated. The presentation was impressive. Last but certainly not least, the bartenders here know what they are doing. In addition to the meal, we had perfect martinis. And I do mean perfect. Only one small complaint- the service. She was a little cold and snobbish, needed to lighten up some. (It is possible to show class, professionalism, and pride in your work without being pretentious.)
I won't shy away from this place because of that and am planning another dinner here next month.

The bowl was plated with half a quail stuffed with rice, an oyster and andouille sausage and then our server poured the gumbo broth on top. Gumbo was delicious, not over powering in any way. Quail was tender and easily cut with a soup spoon. We then moved on to Sizzling Oysters Revolution and Crab Meat Beignets. The oysters didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for but were still good. The beignets were to die for, just melt in your mouth amazing. For the main course we ordered the filet and veal chop. The veal chop was so large in size and so tender. Steak was a little over cooked but still full of flavor. This was my second visit to R'evolution and once again the food, service and ambience were exceptional. My guests all agreed it was the best meal they have ever had in New Orleans.
