Restaurant PatoisOne of my favoritesNew Orleans has soooo many wonderful restaurants. Many of them are found on neighborhood corners as is Patois . It is a little out of the way for the tourist but well worth the ride from downtown. If character and ambience and great food is what you want , this is it.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat TimeWe were a party of four celebrating our May birthday's. Our server, Camille, was wonderful. She was very attentive and when we told her about our celebration she allowed us to take our time enjoying our cocktails and appetizers before we ordered our entrée. We were there for three hours, we never felt rushed. The food was fabulous and the olive oil cake a must. It was delish!!!!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service was amazing! The food and service was amazing! If the candied pork belly is on the menu it is a must! So good! The wine selection has a good range. You can find something really tasty for a decent price. Although the hostess was wearing the loudest shoes ever that reminded me of her every move like a cowbell, the scene is quite calm and serene. Our server was very knowledgable and polite! I will make it a definite point to return soon... And may see what the hostess is wearing for foot apparel first ;)5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAnything but patPatois is a special restaurant with incredible food and we were completely happy with our food. Our only complaint was that the dessert menu didn't include flour-less chocolate cake cause we love that so much. All our fish dishes were superb, vegies were grilled to perfection and the recommended wine was delicious. Amen!!!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA-W-E-S-O-M-E...GO!Every positive review that you've seen about this restaurant is in fact accurate. It is delicious. Locally sourced food, delectably made. You'll roll out of the restaurant with a happy and full belly.
The olive oil cake dessert is wonderful. Do NOT pass it up.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMNot Pretentious in the LeastThis was our first time there, and we didnt have any recommendations before going. We experienced wonderful food, service and ambiance. We will be back!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways like the food thereAlways like the food there but the service is always a little off. The servers seem to try and show they are a bit above you. On Sunday the server didn't bring the usual bread basket served at brunch. The water wasn't refreshed except when it was obvious the glass was bone dry. The food is always good to excellent.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGood service and great foodGood service and great food Just what is expected in New Orleans4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the very bestEasily one of the very best restaurants in New Orleans. Every course was outstanding. Even the bread served before the appetizers (a house-made brioche) was delicious.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of our favorite New OrleansOne of our favorite New Orleans restaurants. We go every time we are in town.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat againThe last several times I had been disappointed with some aspects of my favorite restaurant. This time redeemed itself! The food was thoughtful and my dining companions and I all had great dishes and enjoyed it greatly.
Good job.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific food served by friendlyTerrific food served by friendly staff. The restaurant had a real buzz.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI probably won't go again;I probably won't go again; nice place to try but didn't think the food was that memorable to merit the expensive cab ride out to get there. Too many great places to eat in NOLA.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPatois is somewhat irregular.Patois is somewhat irregular. For example, my sweetbread appetizer was outstanding but my entree was a little overcooked. That was the pattern for all four of us in our party. Most things were quite good but here and there something was a miss.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe come here every time we'reWe come here every time we're in New Orleans. Patois is always great food, wonderful service, well- chosen wine list. We'll be back next time!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA delightful restaurant to dineRestaurant Patois is a small intimate local Creole French bistro type restaurant which serves delicious food and has an excellent European based wine list. The service was very good boarding on excellent. However, because the restaurant is small, the tables are close together and there is no sound deadening walls or ceilings, the noise volume was very high and annoying to our party. You would hope the management would have recognized this fact and said something to the two different tables nearby to lower their volume and very loud laughing and almost shouting.
We would have enjoyed our excellent meal much more without all of the NOISE!4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently excellentDelicious as always. In a city full of truly great restaurants this one rates at the top of the list. A consistently excellent meal.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was amazing, we thoroughlyThe food was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our waiter, however, was incredibly unattentive. We went large amounts of time without having him visit our table, 15 minutes after dropping waters, 20 minutes after dropping appetizers, almost 30 minutes waiting for the check. Also, forgot to bring out items that we ordered. We decided to not make a fuss over it because we were celebrating a birthday and the food had truly been spectacular, however, I would avoid this particular waiter on any subsequent visits to Patois.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Easter Sunday Brunch! My fiancee & I had a fantastic Easter Brunch at Restaurant Patois. They had our Opentable reservation on file and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The stay were friendly and had great recommendations. We started with the boudin balls which were some of the best I've ever had. I liked how they had a spicy, BBQ style sauce instead of the traditional mustard. Then, we had crawfish & cauliflower soup and the grapefuit & shrimp salad - both excellent. For our entrees, we had the omelet du jour and the veal. We finished the chocolate tart for dessert. The meal, service, and ambience were fantastic. Exactly what we were looking for our romantic Easter brunch. I would definitely recommend Restaurant Patois and will be back soon!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFind it, it's worth it!!This is a great spot!!!!! Out of the way, in a residential nieghborhood, worth the time to find!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great experience! CinthiaHad a great experience! Cinthia (?)was excellent !!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI've had brunch at PatoisI've had brunch at Patois on two other occasions and they were awesome! My family and I had dinner this time and enjoyed ourselves very much. The dinner selection was very interesting with a nice variety of choices from rabbit to fish and shrimp pasta that was to die for according to my daughter. The service was awesome, the drinks were not shy on alcohol! This is a lovely restaurant for a special night out while in the Big Easy. I will see them again with in the next month when I am back in town.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the cab ride....Fantastic french brasserie type atmosphere can be found at Patois. I took my girlfriend here our first night of a weekend trip and enjoyed this dining experience thoroughly. I recommend the moules frites for app and the rabbit or almond crusted fish for entree. I had read that the service was subpar; this was not the case for us. The only downside is that it is way uptown and requires a decent cab ride from the Quarter or business district where most hotels are......but we like to get off the beaten path so i was fun for us.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLove patois, it's one of myLove patois, it's one of my favorites in all of New Orleans.
