  • "My husband and I are regulars at Michael's Genuine. This misses the mark on every level. We were seated in the lobby, which was very warm and uninviting. The service was ok, not like MGFD! The food was ok, nothing special. We had the octopus, kale salad and skirt steak, all very "just ok"! There are much better options in the area."

  • "Ambiance and service was great. Food, not so much. My lump crab cake lacked seasoning except for the salt which was overly poured in the crab cake. Had a drink that included bell pepper in it, that I couldn't finish. I couldn't tolerate the taste. My husbands lamb dish was tough to chew. It's to bad, the service and setting were great(minus the mosquito problem). The food needs HELP! The food was NOT worth what I paid."

  • "Memorable brunch in a relaxing surrounding. Try the bread basket (croissant is a must)and eggs Benedict with wild salmon. Pair it with a steamy almond capuccino. You feel on vacation when Sitting in the shade of an old thick tree while the sun is teasing its leaves on a quiet Sunday morning. Avoid those Miami crowds, enjoy the moment. It's worth every minute."

  • "Dining outside, overlooking the iconic pool area of the Raleigh Hotel, was exactly what I'd want in a Miami Beach dining experience. The food on my second visit was prepared to my requests, beautifully served, and the atmosphere was a wonderful balance of energy and relaxation. So long a the evening temperature and humidity are reasonable - it makes for a great experience. Dining inside, while air conditioned, in good weather is usually "empty". Menu seems to change seasonally, but the quality of everything was excellent. BTW< there is a fun LITTLE hideaway Martini Bar of the lobby - circa 1940's style. Highly recommend. "

Upon further inspection you notice the different ingredients and elements used to prepare the dishes (jasper hills landaff cheese, parmigiano crust-makes for a non standard grilled cheese). Pricy but not out if the ordinary in Miami. "

  • "I am a frequent client of many restaurants in Miami, and probably eat out 6 out of 7 days a week (lunch and dinner). I am an optimistic person and typically try to find charm even in the most simplest of places, I don't get easily surprised by glitz and glam, but truly try to find something special about every place. Today I had lunch at the Raleigh Michael Schwartz Restaurant and I all I can say its that there is absolutely nothing to rescue from the restaurant, it is hands down the worst place in Miami"

  • "We had an excellent brunch experience for Mother's Day. Our party of four including two kids arrived and were seated promptly by a very friendly hostess at 11am under a tree near the pool. Service was mostly attentive (though the wait for my second Bloody Mary was long) and food arrived promptly. Kids enjoyed the waffles and tasty donuts and parents enjoyed some fresh oysters, the crab hash and Croque Monsieur. All dishes were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to see Chef Schwartz dining with is family at the table next door. A very successful Mother's Day brunch!"

  • "I rarely write reviews, but our experience at MS "deserves" one. Our evening started with the host announcing that because of the rain earlier that day the outside area was closed. We were supposed to have been informed by phone - we were not. The bar tender ignored my request to make any champagne based cocktail other than Kir Roayal. Kir Roayl I got, because, aparently, he had nothing else. Service at dinner was sloppy and incompetent. A 75 dollar Pinot (10.99 retail!) was so substandard (+ served cold) that we had to ask for it to be taken off the check. Pizza was burnt and my octopus was swimming in a sea of thin liquid. We could not wait to get out and go to Cicconi's to make up for this disaster with some good drinks and desserts."

  • "We recently had dinner there, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our food was very good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance/setting was charming and classy while remaining warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend. Our waiter did a good job explaining menu items and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the food. We had one part of one entree which was slightly over cooked, which is why I held off on giving 4 stars, but overall, the food was excellent. Fun place!!"

  • "We had planned to eat in the "dining room" but with a 3 piece band playing quite loudly it would have been impossible to have a conversation so we opted to dine on the outdoor terrace. The ambiance outdoors on the terrace was quite lovely. One of us had Hendricks gin on the rocks at $17.00 and the other had Ketel One vodka on the rocks for $16.00. These are outrageous prices for very skimpy drinks! The wine list was also very pricey and limited. Our whole snapper for two persons was overcooked. The brussels sprouts were brunt to a crisp. And at these prices they could at least have put a place mat on the outdoor wooden table. Michael Schwartz can certainly do better than this!!"

  • "Restaurant Michael Schwartz was THE perfect spot for our group of seven girls. It is an AMAZING value. Upon arrival, we were not satisfied with our table location but the hostesses were very accommodating. The atmosphere is romantic but still the glamorous South Beach I love. Prices are extremely moderate, which was perfect for our crowd of mid-20s working girls. Our food was delicious, perfectly prepared and satisfied each individual. Cocktails are fabulous. Food highlights: roasted peppers, crab cakes, octopus, shrimp toast, and rabbit. Rarely does a restaurant deliver a meal to a large group without a glitch."

  • "Magical setting amongst the trees let rung with lights. Tables with comfy sofas intertwine.the trees creating an intimate setting. The food was fantastic! The ceviche was bright and flavorful, and my grilled octopus was incredibly tender and so very delicious! And save room for dessert!!! The lemon meringue bread pudding was outstanding! If you are a chocolate fan, go for the salted chocolate caramel mousse! Service was fantastic!"

  • "Fine food and a lovely location in the back courtyard of the beautiful Raleigh Hotel, one of South Beach's many Art Deco treasures. The menu choices are inspired, adventurous, and nicely done. Great place for a romantic meal, although I was put off somewhat by allowing smoking even if it's outdoors. Just what a gourmet meal doesn't need--eau de cigarettes. C'mon, Miami Beach, this isn't Europe, so don't let smokers inflict their bad habits on the rest of us. Highly recommended, nevertheless."

Bad- typical young, inexperienced, poor service that has become a staple on South Beach--- even more annoying with the 18% autogratuity. The stinky- great outdoor setting- it's truly magical. But with outdoors comes smoking, and when a table 2 away lit up a cigar, our meal was over."

  • "The setting on the pool deck on a beautiful Night was lovely. The panzanella salad and Ceviche were huge hits while the heirloom tomato salad and the kale Caesar were tasty. Michaels signature roast chicken which we were told takes 30 minutes came out much faster and was excellent. The skirt steak was a bit tough but very tasty. Don't miss the lemon meringue dessert ! The service was very relaxed and efficient, I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Amazing! My first time to this restaurant proved worth while. I had to try it because I like his other restaurants, and I am so glad I did. They did a very nice job creating an intimate atmosphere outside. There aren't a lot of tables, so the service is great; they are nice, and do not rush you, or pressure you to order too much food as in other places. I went with my mom, and we got two small plates, a large plate with a side, and a dessert, and that was plenty. You must try it! Great food, great ambiance. Very East Hampton meats South Beach: modern small plates with a very nice vibe."
