The food is always fabulous and
the donuts are to die for. We never get a bad meal here!"

Outside of Drago's charbroiled
oysters in New Orleans, Restaurant L's braised rib ravioli may be the most delicious single bite of food ever. Go for the local glam scene, go for the wine list but YOU must order the ravioli."

We found Restaurant L to be a
nice, unassuming place. The service was excellent. The food quite tasty in generous portions. The price range was very reasonable."
Dined on 2/15/2014
Dinner was over cooked and over
priced, tables were very close to each other and this restaurant offered nothing special."

There is nothing not to like about
Restaurant L. Great menu, great food, great atmosphere. Definitely coming back."

My wife and I visited and we're
very impressed. The food was excellent, comfortable environment and a very nice bar for a pre-dinner drink. Well thought out menu with something for everyone. High quality ingredients with an excellent presentation. We will be certainly become regulars!"

The place was very cute, good
drink menu. Food was average at best, not worth the price they charged"

Had no idea what to expect since I
am not from the area, the place was tastefully decorated, the ambiance was wonderful! Dimly lit, quiet and romantic on a cold winter night. The Martini was Fab as was the wine list...We enjoyed the Hangar steak and the Linguine with white clam sauce and both were exceptional! Toni was a fun energetic waitress with knowledge of the menu and advice to share..will definitely add this place to our go to list!"

My husband and I frequent
Restaurant L and it's always consistent!!! We love dining here and highly recommend it."
Dined on 2/1/2014
The Sunday special 3 course dinner
is a great deal. The food was delicious and the restaurant was quiet early Sunday evening."
Dined on 1/26/2014
I've been to Restaurant L a number
of times and it's always great. Good food and good service. The spare rib raviolis are the best, but my favorite thing is the homemade donuts. I'd go out of my way to come here."
Dined on 1/18/2014
And really had a great night. My
husband and I had a date night here and sat In the bar area. Great bar and really great food. I had the lamb burger And my husband had the short rib ravioli. Both very yummy. Will definitely Be back real soon."

This was our second time dining
here…just as lovely as the first time. The ambiance is wonderful….intimate and cozy. The food is excellent, and the service is very attentive. The mixed donuts for dessert were quite a treat! I think you would be pleased if you pay a visit to this wonderful restaurant."
Dined on 12/15/2013
This was our second visit to
Restaurant L and we were surprised at how much more we enjoyed it this time. The food was outstanding and the service was great. This will now be our "go to" restaurant when we are with friends or just stopping in for dinner. I recommend that every one gives Restaurant L a try."
Dined on 11/29/2013
This was our first time. I had
heard nice things about the restaurant. Since it was geographically located along our way, we decided to try something new. We felt very welcomed upon entering. The ambiance was intimate, cozy and absolutely lovely. We had a beautiful round banquette table in the corner. The service was excellent….the food outstanding. We started with the beet salad…entree was tilapia, and the preparation was delicious. Relaxing and comfortable….we look forward to a return visit!"

So many nice choices, it was hard
to decide. The grouper with loster mashed potatoes was expertly prepared. Have not had a bad dish yet. Nice wine list, bottle of Sean Minor Pinot was incredible smooth. Will be back."

Every time I go to this
restaurant, I have a great time. The food is delicious and the ambiance is wonderful. The menu has some great specials and terrific standards like the pecan crusted chicken and short rib ravioli. The calamari with the ginger sauce makes it stand out from other restaurants. I like the fact that we can dine in the bar area (either at real tables or the bar) and watch the game or enjoy quiet conversation in the separate dining area. Love to eat out here at least once a month. When we get too busy, we order take out!"
Dined on 11/12/2013
Food was ok. It was super loud on
a Saturday evening and all four of us in our party had a difficult time carrying a conversation. Service was superb. Wine list is very expensive."
Dined on 11/16/2013
I've been to Restaurant L many
times, my last visit was early on a Friday night with a friend. The menu has something for everyone beef, seafood, chicken, pasta. Not overwhelming but a great selection. They offer gluten free items as well. Some of my favorites are short ribs, chili shrimp, polenta with mushrooms. Portions are just right not huge and not small. I usually pass on dessert but not at this restaurant. Fresh mini donuts, served warm. OMG!! Special Martinis are are flavorful and never too sweet. Waitresses are attentive but not too much. This was my friends first visit and she was impressed. Mentioned that she'd surely be back."
Dined on 11/15/2013
Food is consistently good. A
favorite for the many repeat visitors."
Dined on 11/7/2013
Each time my friends get together
at the bar for wine and appetizers or we bring my friends mother for a Sunday dinner, the food is always consistently delicious. Great wine by the glass selection."
Dined on 11/3/2013
We were lucky enough to grab a
Living Social coupon to use at Restaurant L for my son's 18th birthday. I've been here before (great lunch specials!), but my husband and son had not. We all loved the food, My husband had the famous short ribs, my son had the L burger with short ribs on top, and I had a delicious pork shank served over unctuous homemade noodles with a creamy truffle infused sauce. The lobster appetizer pizza was inspiring - we want to figure out how to reproduce it at home! The waitress was sweet; very motherly as we talked about our teenage sons. We'll be back..."

It was a very nice place to have
some appetizers & drinks. The food seemed a bit overpriced for the selection. The oysters & shrimp cocktail were delicious. The pizza was a bit overcooked and didn't have fresh mozzarella or basil as a normal Margarita pizza has. The service was wonderful, both bartenders were extremely nice and observant to our needs."
Dined on 10/26/2013
Pleasant atmosphere and friendly
service. Moderate to high prices but food excellent and nice portion sizes."
Dined on 10/26/2013
This is a really cute little place
with a great menu and cute bar area. We had a lovely meal both times we were there and we will go back again. It's a small dining room and can be noisy and and a bit cramped so you should know this before you go. That's not a negative but some may find that uncomfortable. It's a pretty place and the food and service are both very good."
Dined on 10/13/2013
Good food, good service, pricey
but worth it for a special occasion."
Dined on 10/3/2013
I came here because of a
LivingSocial deal and didn't expect much after reading reviews on yelp. To my delight, everything tasted amazing from the bread, to the crispy eggplant appetizer, to the short rib ravioli, and chocolate cake. Entree portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Service was also great. The dining room on the right is on the smaller side (I didn't peek at the other side) so there was a larger, rowdy crowd that put a damper on the intimate ambience. But overall, my family and I enjoyed Restaurant L and will definitely come back."
Dined on 9/28/2013
Quality food at reasonable prices.
THe service was a bit slow but I could not tell if it was because they were short staffed or otherwise."
Dined on 9/29/2013
Food and service was great. It was
very crowded when I went but it didn't matter as far as great service. The tables are a bit Close, but all in all was a great evening"
Dined on 9/28/2013
The food was not bad but with poor
and rushed service, it takes away from the experience."
Dined on 9/22/2013
Enjoyed a drink out on the back
patio before dinner. Eggplant Napoleon was quite tasty. Short ribs and braised pork shank both cooked well, though portions were overly generous on both."
Dined on 8/25/2013
Pass Restaurant L all the time, so
decided it was time to give it a try. We usually tend to go back to our favorites all the time. Went for a "date night" with husband. Food was very good and very well priced. Also, great portion size. Would I come back? Yes, but definitely not for a date night. It was extremely loud since there were many groups there and it is small dining room. Not romantic in the least. Would only go back with a group that I thought could rival the loudness of others!"
Dined on 8/10/2013
Always love eating here! Has
upbeat cozy bar with generous sized drinks and friendly bartenders. The dining area is intimate snd menu innovative and delicious! The owner is warm and friendly, makes her guests feel very welcomed."
Dined on 7/25/2013
This cafe used to be very good
with creative food, attentive yet relaxed service, great wines , and a decent value. On my last visit it took forvever for the female waitress to get to us, she forgot my wine until the entree came, and the wines we were served were sub par. The food is ok but has lost its edge , and finesse. I think now it's fairly expensive for the average food , clumsy plating, and lack of true creativitiy. And in the 8 or 9 times I have been to this restaurant, never once has an owner bothered to greet me or anyone else there..at least not visibly. The dining room, as a result, has no heart. Other places simply do it better now..such as St Eves in Hohokus. What a shame."
Dined on 6/21/2013
This was our 1st visit & had an
overall nice experience. The noise level in the bar while waiting for a table was excessive & caused by several loud women competing to talk over each other. Some people lack dignity with a few mouthfuls of alcohol."
Dined on 7/14/2013
Still a favorite. The eggplant
Napoleon and tequila lime shrimp are my favorites. The fresh donuts were a hit too!"
Dined on 7/13/2013
Everything was great! I had the
pecan crusted chicken and my husband had the short rib burger. The burger was done just right which is often a problem since my husband likes them medium well and they usually come out undercooked. The calamari was terrific with the ginger sauces instead of marinara. Opted not to have dessert as this is not one of the restaurant's strong points. This truly is a neighborhood gem! Have sat in both the bar area and the main dining room and enjoy both but was glad to see the Yankees win."
Dined on 7/6/2013
One of my fave. Always a perfect
meal. Friendly staff great service."
Dined on 6/28/2013
Wine list way over priced. Food
tasteless , Valet parking unnecessary there is plenty of easy parking, not need for the extra expense and annoyance"
Dined on 6/8/2013
Welcomed immediately and made to
feel you are important to them. The waitress knew the menu well and explained the specials. The restaurant is small but perfect for private parties. Good for small groups"
