(Literally the table has eight tables and they do a single seating per night.) The service was attentive but not overly so. If you're adventurous with food and have any sort of special occasion this is the place to go. Instead of making selections from a menu, the server will ask you about food allergies and certain taste preferences, after which, you will select either a four course or seven course meal. Based upon this information, the chef will create your dinner. Expect a variety of tastes; and expect to taste something new.
The food and service at Restaurant Jezebel were excellent; although sometimes the gap between courses felt a bit long. I think this is the nature of this type of dining experience. We were the first party seated and were informed that the table was ours for the evening. The custom dishes were not as creative as they could have been. We had elk, which as a hunter I know what elk tastes like- not even close. But the sauces were exceptional and complimentary to the meat. There are 8 tables in the restaurant and we were the only ones there for 1 hour. I have eaten at all of the fine dining spots in Austin and this is by far the best restaurant in the city. The food was beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the wine...it was perfect. We will be back. The chef is a magician. If you have not been, go. It's worth every penny. Best dining experience we have had in Texas and on par with the best of San Francisco, LA, and NYC.
