Restaurant IPOGreat food and serviceI went out with girlfriends Thursday night to Restaurant IPO. We tried several dishes, chargrilled oysters, scallops, mini tacos, corn and crab bisque, and the shrimp and grits. It was ALL delicious. I liked it so much, I went back on Friday night with my husband! We ordered salads, which were very good. And, we ordered two entrees...the duck with grits and the Gulf Andouille. Both dishes were amazing. Then, topped off the meal with the fried cheesecake!!!! I liked it so much, I made reservations (using Open Table) for a friend's birthday dinner before I left. It's my new favorite place to eat!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been here twice and bothI've been here twice and both the food and the service has been outstanding both times. A very creative menu with lots of options...a foodies paradise. It's very very loud, though. We found each other shouting at each other the entire meal. I'd recommend going on off-nights rather than the weekend when it it is much quieter.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, well-thought outDelicious, well-thought out dishes filled with flavor. Nice presentations. Good selection of local beers, craft drinks, and wine. Trendy atmosphere without being uppity. Staff was friendly4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat it lacks in comfort isWhat it lacks in comfort is made up by imaginative, well executed and delicious creations from the kitchen. Menu selections are just varied enough to satisfy any palate, not just foodies'. Days later, I vividly recall the flavors of the fire roasted corn and crab soup; spectacular taste profile--spicy, tempered by rich, creamy broth. Look forward to returning.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery much enjoyed it! I'llVery much enjoyed it! Sublime!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding local cuisine.Outstanding local cuisine. Our visitors were very impressed.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little tapas restaurantGreat little tapas restaurant with a Louisiana flair. Cajun deviled eggs and the oysters were great. Duck crepe was interesting, but there was too much crepe and was a difficult dish to share. This place is good and fills up. You should plan to get reservations if eating dinner on a Friday or Saturday.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
