  • "My visit to 552 was a disappointment, started out with an Apple Martini, OK, The St. James Salad was awash in Vinaigrette, (lighten up guys) should have asked for the dressing on the side. Main Course was a pork tenderloin " Pinwheel " stuffed with Mozzarela cheese and I think Spinach, Bland and Tasteless, my partners Chilean Tourbot was OK, we skipped the lackluster dessert menu. I had high expectations, but this place tries to bring a little bit of New York City to the suburbs but it just doesn't work."

  • "We have eaten here before and the food and service was excellent so we thought we would go back again, unfortunately we had a totally different experience this time. Everyone was extremely nice however this time the food and service were just average. This restaurant can get pricey unless you take advantage of their pre-fixe which we did not so we were disappointed when we received a large bill for average food. We will probably give this restaurant one more try because it is close to home and we like to support local businesses, however at $150 for two with only one drink a piece and a shared salad the food and service should have been better."

  • "This was our third dining experience at Five. Five 2. There are several dining rooms within the restaurant all similar in ambiance but each is unique. All the rooms are cozy but not cramped. The wait staff is attentive and the food has been excellent each visit. The menu provides a nice variety."

  • "We arrived early and sat at the bar. The bar counter was sticky with glass ring stains to go along with the dirty seat cushions on each bar stool. The server was nice enough, but the chard was served way too cold. The price per glass was ok. After being seated, the waitress did not know the menu. When it was time for dessert, she brought the desserts and never asked if we wanted coffee. My wife informed her she would like coffee and the waitress never asked if I would like coffee. I never asked and finished off dinner with a glass of water. The four small plates we ordered were fair at best in both quanity and quality. We tried the restaurant because we had a groupon deal and will not return. "

  • "Had obtained a groupon to 552. Looked like a nice place, had a decent menu, wanted to try somewhere new. The staff was nice, the ambiance was beautiful. My only complaint was the small portion for the price. My mother got a chicken dish which consisted of a grilled piece of chicken and a VERY small salad. The dish was a lot less impressive than how it presented itself on the menu. I got the seared tuna special but it was alright, nothing special. We weren't very impressed with the meal, the prices didn't warrant it in my opinion, we probably will not return."

  • "Reservation for 12:30 pm (lunch) on Sunday, arrived 10 minutes early, there was no receptionist nor any other customer. We had to wait for 5 minutes before someone from the kitchen came to the front to seat us. Menu was limited. We ordered two appetizers (calamari and slider) and two fish dishes (Chilean turbot and Scottish salmon). Bok choy was replaced with broccoli without warning . My husband ordered rice to go with turbot, but had polenta on his plate instead. The waitress just said "the chef sometimes make mistakes with the order". We are the only customers in the restaurant! Turbot lacks proper seasoning, sliders are dry. All in all, very poor services and below average food quality, overpriced. Will not go back."

  • "Went on a Saturday night, place was pack and they had one server on with a helper, who could not really help. It was restaurant week, so the regular menu was cut back, but they had only four entrees. Two fish, chicken parmesan( that u can get in any pizzeria at half the price.) And a pasta dish. We looked at the menu on-line and was very disappointed. We asked questions to the server about the fish and she was very nice but clueless. Also when we first got there we stood at the front door and waited over ten minutes for someone to greet us. There was a hostess and I guess the owner, but the just seemed like they didn't care. The nicest person we spoke to was the valet. For these reasons and their prices we will not return."

  • "I've passed this restaurant many times by day, nothing much to notice but the sign out front. We decided to try it for restaurant week. The place was jumping, there was some live music and the bar was very busy. Since we booked a reservation though Open Table the wait was minimal but if you didn't have a reservation forget it. The owner, I'll assume, was busily helping to seat people and he was eager to talk about the menu and made a couple of suggestions as well. The food was excellent and we look forward to a return visit."

Service by the male servers was in attentive, even though they were not busy. They were barely a presence in the dining room. The female servers were, and I had to keep asking them for assistance because my male waiter was MIA. "

Food was excellent and our waiter felt like a friend anticipating what we needed before asked. Overall a memorable eatery. Soup was flavorful Salad yummy.   • "From start to finish.... A disappointment. Portions were small, choices were limited, sauces wer just okay. My wife's dessert was a type of Apple crisp. Waiter cautioned the bowl was extremely hot. They never even heated the crisp... The crisp was cold! Bowl was cold. Experience left us cold!"

  • "Been here 3-4 times now, every time hoping the service will improve, booked a table for 7, got there at 6:30 for a cocktail first . At 7 we went to the hostess to be sat to be Told e would be another 10 mins ,the restaurant was 70% empty ? Our server was a nice young guy and did his best , I had the spicy Calamari and then the pork loin , both exceptional ! My wife the steak wedge , very good she said . The way the owner talks to his staff isn't pleasant (especially in front of guests) when it seems to be he that is the disorganised one. Proper regular training is what's required here. I'll probably go back but not for a few months. Food is great / staff need training"

  • "This restaurant has always been hit or miss, but this was a definite miss. We knew it wasn't going to be good when the hostess told us she "had no idea" when our reserved table would be ready. The waiter took our order, forgot one of our drinks, and disappeared for the night. The chicken arrived over cooked and the steak was under cooked, which could have been sent back had he bothered to check on us.This restaurant keeps changing its name but that's not where they need to improve. We've gone back because we live in the area and it's convenient, but we're done. The only person who was pleasant and did his job was the busboy. We happened to use a Groupon that night; maybe that's why they were so inattentive, but that's no excuse."

  • "My husband and I had a lovely, quiet meal at 5.5.2 Restaurant. While it was a Tuesday night, we had our waiter's undivided attention and service was wonderful. The food was very good, but we didn't get anything new to us. The surroundings very dimly lit and the fireplace was set for a romantic dinner, which is what we were looking for!"

  • "Was visiting from and found this restaurant on Open Table. The entrance to the restaurant is through the bar which was packed and very loud. The noise from the bar carried into the dining room and became very distracting when the live music started. The music was awful and filled the dining room with unwanted noise. The tables in the dining room were very small and ridiculously close together. The food was just average. The service was average to below average. The noise and crowded tables made my want to get out of this restaurant as soon as possible. Would not go back and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else."

  • "I have not had the chance to eat at this establishment prior to my visit on Valentine's Day, but I thought it was amazing. I needed a fairly early reservation and it was accommodated and arrived early to avoid the "rush". The service was really good, the staff was incredibly friendly and also had a table next to one of the fire places. The overall experience was very good and I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family. I would just like to leave it with this. What I paid, for what I got and the night that I had, was absolutely worth it. In my opinion, I would do it again without blinking an eye. It was my first experience and it was an absolutely incredible one."

  • "Visited five five 2 for valentine's day. The food was delicious. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the chicken, both were wonderfully prepared and served by a friendly and efficient server. The decor is charming and made for a perfect setting for a special day. Highly recommended."

  • "Such a warm welcome. When glass full of ice and a shot of sangria was empty, we ordered two more, easy on the ice. Yummy tho. Italian Wedding soup was best we ever had. Pomodoro was overwhelming garlicy. Bolognese was off the charts. With that said, the server asked how everything was, I was honest. Having a difficult time with the garlic. He offered to bring it back and said he was sorry, but I just didn't eat it. I tried picking out garlic slices but at 15 put fork down. Room 4 desert, molton lava choc w vanillaice cream. Server told me ice cream froze the lava. thought it was supposed to melt the ice cream but not theirs. Had a mgr approached up for a simple "sorry" we'd be back. But no one looked at us, or even said good night to us."
