This isn't the Old Port.This section of the city is still a bit down and out, although with all the development in the area that is slowly changing. Evoo is not an inexpensive experience but the inventive food in general lives up to the prices. The limited menu works in their favour. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. We were there early on Saturday and it was not too too crowded which we love. Not sure if it gets noisy later in the day.
By the way, coffee with a side of jam and Nutella (homemade) was perfect! Try it!
You don't expect there is a restaurant to the East of Atwater that worth visiting but this one for sure is a neighbourhood gem!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my girlfriend to thisI took my girlfriend to this restaurant for her birthday after a dance lesson at the Arthur Murray Dance School across the street. We were very impressed with the quality of food, and the service was great. Many ingredients found in typical bistros, but the prep is very different at EVOO. Rabbit, frogs legs, onglet, ravioli open your eyes to lighter meals with wonderful and tasty preparations. Short wine list is nicely Canadian-heavy , reasonably priced, and waitress was knowledgeable. Great addition to the St Henri gentrification.
