A word from Restaurant Cuvée Napa
Restaurant Cuvée -- located a stone’s throw from Napa’s Oxbow Market and the historic Napa Wine Train -- offers a low country feel and living room ambiance complemented by distinctive cuisine with a high country flavor and polished edge. Cuvée’s community-oriented offerings created by Chef Brendan Mica are solely dictated by regional availability and ripeness, producing rich comfort food flavors reengineered to a level of “high country cuisine.” We pride ourselves in our relationships with Napa Valley community growers, cheese producers, winemakers, and other great Napa Valley restaurants.

While offering an extensive Napa local wine list, and uniquely featuring “wines on tap”, the bar features an extensive craft beer list focused on Northern California micro brews as well as fresh garden-inspired cocktails.

We have spent few days in Napa and choose to have dinner at Cuvee on one of the nights. It was a good choice. The restaurant was quite empty due to the streets blocked for Thanksgiving parade. The intimate atmosphere, one can say, was preventing us to read the menu and their long wine list. As in other dim places, we have asked the waiter for a flashlight. He did not have one. After a while, I went to another room, properly lit, to read the menu. Our waiter was very patient and did the best to provide menu details. We had stripped bass, which was excellent and flat iron steak, also very testy. At the waiter’s suggestion we shared a Chocolate & Pinot dessert, which was very good

The wait staff seemed inexperienced and the movies show on the overhead light fixtures were distracting. We shared a lovely beet salad and delicious sea bass. The waiter gave us share plates and we had to divide the meal ourselves. They were out of several wines on their wine menu and we were forced to move from a glass to a bottle to get the variety we wanted. The waiter offered the bottle at a 20% reduction in price but my friend had to join their club and fill out a card at the table. They should have just discounted the bottle since they were out of the smaller sizes, without all the rigamarole. This was not my friends first time, and she really likes the bar and outdoor dining, so I would return to try those more time.

For fantastic food and good service, go to Cuvee. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was almost empty. We were confused by the lack of a host and could not find anyone to assist us. The bartender was missing, no servers were visible and no host at the door to greet us. Once we were found things went smoothly and a good time was had by all.

My friend and I loved this restaurant. We both enjoy and savor fine, gourmet food. The STAFF was amazing (from the hostess to waiter to server). We enjoyed a great Napa Valley Cabernet Reserve wine from Raymond's Winery while sharing some delicious food. I recommend the fig salad, steamed mussels and duck confit. NAPA is all about food and wine. This is a restaurant that confirms it.

Knock-out design and setting. Warm, friendly environment. Great location for a drink and conversation. The food and service were fair. The front of the house staff and bar staff were very welcoming, polished and accommodating. The food server was very enthusiastic about getting our order into the kitchen. We had to tell him twice that he needed to give us a few minutes to finish our cocktails, and then to read our menus, and make our selection. The food was average with no stand outs.

My husband and I made reservations ahead of time for my birthday. We were quite displeased when they sat us near the kitchen, but we assumed that this was the only table for two since the rest of the tables were set for larger groups. This was not the case since there ended up only being two other small parties of two seated for the three hours we were there. Why on earth would a manager seat a couple near the kitchen when there were numerous unfilled tables and obviously no reservations for the evening. Our reservation was for 7pm and we were on time. There really isn't an excuse for such poor service. The food was great, if your willing to deal with the wait staff and poor manager decisions.

The service was on point! The staff was fun and knowledgeable. Also the chefs were very accommodating to my requests. However the tables were uncomfortably low and akward and although the food was good it was lacking some wow flavor I'm used to from napa dining. Overall I would return for drinks and to enjoy the firepit and beautiful courtyard.

I ordered a cherry fizz cocktail... or maybe it was cherry blossom... and it was insanely sweet, almost to the point where I couldn't drink it. It tasted like a melted slurpee. I also didn't care for one of the apps, I believe it was figs with blue cheese on toasted bread. It was just really ho hum, nothing special and the bread was blackened. On top of all this, the service was really slow. There were some high points to the meal- I liked the duck confit and the general ambience of the place was nice- but overall it wasn't a great experience and I wouldn't recommend Cuvee to my friends or clients.

wow was so excited to go here and it was a train wreck from start to end. the server was the worst ever. couldn't remember anything, brought the wrong dishes, brought us AND CHARGED US for items we never ordered... the only redeeming point of the night was moving to the fire pit outside for dessert. heard rumors that everyone at this place has been exiting recently. so i'd say this is a pass in the future. the marriott hotel dining was superior to this.

I really wanted to like Cuvee. I've been once before-which was excellent -but this last time was not so great. I think it was our server who ruined the evening for me. It seemed they had no knowledge of the menu. Anyways, we were a party of 5. Our drink order came out one by one - kinda strange - and the beer they sold us on was actually out of stock - ? We had a rustic bread appetizer and the calamari to start, both good. For entrees I had the striped bass and my husband had the flatiron. Both were good. We wanted bread and was told "we don't serve bread". Ok, fine. Never had our water glasses filled once-went home and guzzled water. Couldn't even"catch" our server. I'll try one more time but Napa has too many other choices.

We were a party of 4. Made reservations that same day. The restaurant was pretty empty since it was a Tuesday night. Had wonderful service, food and even dessert, the fresh berry cobbler! Our only knock of the place were the "flying saucer" plates. Cool to look at but unwieldy and messy to eat off/out of. If you happened to spill/drop any food on the edges, you ended up with food either on the table or in your lap. Thankfully, we heard they are getting rid of them! We would go back again!

This is a nice setting and the food for brunch, especially the crab and corn chowder, was tasty. But my god, I've never seen less staffing for a nice restaurant. At one point my husband tried to get up to get a coffee pot. Also, there was no explanation that if you order off the menu for brunch it is a tiny little portion on a plate for all at the table--explanation would have been nice. For a $32 brunch service MUST be better.

My husband and I were terribly disappointed in Cuvee. We arrived on time and was escorted to our table. From them on the evening was a bust! the service was slow because the kitchen apparently was "completely backed up" and they had a new menu." Were charged for bread. Really? Pork Ribblettes were vile! Charged for a drink that was "offered" to us for our long wait. We waited 1 1/2 hours for one half chicken dinner to arrived.

I brought my Mom here as part of a milestone birthday celebration trip to San Francisco and the wine country (we live in Michigan). She has traveled the world extensively and is very vocal (and critical) about food. Mom raved about the food at Cuvee! She also loved the outdoor seating and ambiance of the place. Our waiter, Norbert, was new to the restaurant but did a fine job with the service.

We shared - Shrimp and Grits The shrimp were fresh, just cooked enough to be tender but not dry. The "grits", seasoned just right to compliment, yet not over power the delicate shrimp. shared a hanger steak with fries, a side of spinach. They steak was cooked exactly like we asked, fries were to die for. The spinach with lemon and garlic just a bit el dente which is the way it should be. We had the espresso crème Brule. The sugar crust was thin and cracked with a slight touch of the spoon. the custard was creamy, not too sweet, and just rich enough. . Service could improve greatly. We had to ask for plates, sharp knife to cut the steak. wine to be opened, table candle lite. They were however friendly.

The service was Outstanding from the minute we entered the restaurant until we left. Each course was spaced giving us just the right amount of time to finish without feeling rushed. There was an extensive wine list even if you chose to order by the glass. One of the main courses are a pot roast which was cook to perfection and vey flavorful, as was the chicken. Two of us ordered steak which was cooked jut the way it was requested. The side of spinach with garlic was tender yet not over cooked as it can be and the garlic was not over powering. We each had a different desert that we shared and they were all outstanding. We will definitely return on our next visit to Napa.

Very odd brunch. Service was friendly but unprofessional. Our server had a difficult time explaining how the brunch service worked. A buffet of odd and not particularly appealing salads and bland cheese cubes, along with a menu of dishes that were only one or two bites each. The outdoor seating is attractive, but with too much over-sized furniture crammed into the space. Add the stained seat cushions and you start to get a picture of inattentive management. Breakfast seemed to be more for the convenience of guests at the hotel on the property than it was for people looking for a good meal. Cuvee used to be a great spot for happy hour and dinner. Now it's more like a second-thought of a co-owned property - a sort of Napa-wannabe Denny's.

How can someone ruin the simplest of breakfast food, Biscuits and Gravy? Perhaps only this restaurant possesses the secret. Start with rock-hard, flat , basically inedible biscuits; pour tasteless, congealed cream sauce over the top,;hide a fried egg underneath to attempt to add moisture; and partially cook a pathetic sausage, left whole. Oh, and add fried potatoes which at least had the right brown coloring, too bad they also had no seasoning or flavor. Brilliant.

I have been going to Cuvee for many years. The courtyard is delightful in the summer so we booked a table for four for Father's Day but left without eating. They had moved the furniture from the bar to the courtyard so most seating was on couches at low tables. The prix fixe menu was $32, plus $14 for drinks. Unlimited but how much can you eat and drink? Lunch for four would have been $200+. The menu was brunch with breakfast items, plus tables with cheese and fruit inside. No one at the bar so you had to serve yourself. There was no Bloody Mary mix and I was unable to find anyone to help me. Total staff on duty were two waitresses plus someone in the kitchen. Five people arrived at the same time as us and they also left without eating.

Our server was very sweet and polite and took our order right away with a smile. Not getting our food for almost 45 minutes was soooo ridiculous. it was just the two of us so i dont really know why it took so long. its such a turn off because the food here is amazing! the setting is romantic and calm. im not so sure illl be back, but i will bring a snack in my purse just in case.
