  • "My husband and I have been wanting to try Cotton for quite some time and decided to make it for our anniversary. we are both really good cooks and have put an "X" on many restaurants locally and across the country. Honestly. The only thing we would have improved was the biscuits and really not much. The meal was glorious, the service impeccable, the drinks were varied and excellent. The wine selection also excellent, The meals were made of locally raised meat and vegetables, fresh sustainable ingredients. Over all an outstanding experience and will make it a regular stop and recommend to all our friends. Thank you."

  • "After dining at restaurant Cotton for the first time I am pleased to say that it is far ahead of any other restaurant I have ever been to. The overall atmosphere was amazing. The old school southern charm really made me feel at home. Great southern hospitality and I will be dining again sooner than later."

  • "What a neat place to have dinner. I love that fact that Chef Cory uses local ingredients and stays true to his roots! My family and I enjoyed the meal from the first bite of the appetizers down to the last bite of dessert. We absolutely have plans to visit again! Chef Cory was a sweetie and even signed a menu for us (we're big fans of Chopped). The wait staff was awesome and we have told everyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to stop in if they get the chance :-)"

  • "The fish dish was supberb. Moist, fresh not frozen and a wonderful pairing with the roasted sweet potatoes and kale. Brussel spout slaw: how creative and wonderful using fresh produce! Nobilio is one of my favorites."

  • "Reservation was made with a request to sit in the upstairs bar area if possible. Arriving on time we were advised there was no table available in that area, as there were several people up there and they had been lingering. I understand that, it was the bar area. The hostess then seated us at a table shoved up against the entrance to the kitchen/service back area. Very small tabletop, and it was loud and very high server traffic area. That's not the table you put reservations in - that's where you park the walk-in's. I requested a different table, and luckily one had just opened up at one of the upstairs dining areas. Other than one guy loudly making a sales pitch to his dinner guests in the room, the ambiance and food were great."

  • "The atmosphere was perfect, the lighting was a touch dark but worked out just fine, and the food was 15 out of 10. The service was great and the timing of the meal for two was perfect. They got everything to us on time and it was hot. I would suggest expanding the restaurant."

  • "I took my girlfriend to Cotton for Valentines dinner. We were quickly greeted and sat down immediately at our table. The waiter then promptly took our drink orders and brought us out a few biscuits, which were amazing. The duck fat fries were also very good as an appetizer. I had the venison schnitzel with pureed sweet potatoes and roasted apples and my girlfriend had the blackened red fish. The food was absolutely amazing and the portions were large. I would highly recommend Cotton to all of my friends."

  • "We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were asked to sit at the bar while our table was prepared. However, the bar was over crowded. This meant we basically had to stand next to the kitchen and wait. 15 minutes after our original reservation time we were shown to our table. This would normally have been fine, except that after waiting past our reservation time we were shown to a tiny table for 2 sandwiched between the bathroom and the kitchen. One would think being so close to the kitchen would mean service would be great. The only good side to the table was that servers were constantly passing right next to us, so it was easy to get their attention. These are the reasons for the 3 stars on the service and ambiance."

  • "Always excellent food, service, atmosphere. If we have a special occasion, we go to Cotton. Unique on every level from the cuisine to the Old Smoky (the best old fashioned drink I have yet to find). "If" you should go is not the question but "when" you should go."

  • "Had reservations for 6:30 and was seated right upon arrival. Warm smiling faces showed us to a table upstairs where we could see the river, very nice. Quiet, and relaxed we're had duck wraps and cocktails which were both outstanding . Service was great and the food even better. Blackened catfish w/sweet potatoes and shrimp and grits for the wife. Very enjoyable evening. Nice atmosphere and very reasonably priced. This restaurant has something for everyone."

  • "Cory Bahr has outdone himself. This restaurant is a welcome surprise to the Monroe community. I have literally eaten in high end steakhouses all over the world, and his Harris Ranch Ribeye was hands down the best steak I have ever had. The service was impeccable. So much so I think I tipped 30%. My wife and I will definitely be going back."

  • "The atmosphere is very elegant with a southern comfort, the food is placed beautifully on the plates and tastes as good as it looks, a wonderful wine list and specialty drink selection, this is a great place to dine with family and friends!"

  • "My wife and I went to Restaurant Cotton for our anniversary. We had appetizers, Louisiana Steamed Oysters and Deviled Eggs. The deviled eggs were delicious. The oysters were over dressed with bacon and a sugary praline topping - too many flavors; could not taste the oysters. My wife ordered a rib eye and I ordered a hamburger and fries. The steak was not impressive; it was not a $35.00 plate. I tasted it and did not want a second bite, even though rib eyes are my favorite cut. My hamburger and fries were very good. Overall, I was not impressed as I thought I should be after the television press and accolades that Cory has received."

  • "The service was very good and the food was delicious. I was disappointed with the table we were given. I made a reservation a week in advance for a party of 7 and we were given two round tables pushed together. 4 people sat at one table, three at the other but the set up was awkward as I had my back to the people at the other table."

  • "Had been to this restaurant for dinner many times and the food is always over-the-top good. We decided to try the brunch on Sunday. We were given a lunch menu so we asked about the brunch. We were told that they had stopped offering a brunch menu 3 months earlier. We had made our reservation for 11:00am and were disappointed since we were looking forward to a breakfast-type menu. They need to change the website to remove the term brunch or make it clear that it is a regular lunch menu on Sunday."

  • "My wife and I went to Cotton for our Anniversary and it was fantastic! The food includes familiar southern cuisine, but with unexpected twists and preparations that are amazing to say the least. The wait staff is very professional, incredibly helpful, and made the evening even more enjoyable! The combination of delicious food and delightful wait staff made our anniversary dinner an experience the we didn't want to end. We will most certainly be returning for another date night soon!"

  • "The food was fanatastic! The menu was special for the holiday evening and the options were great. The service was very slow as far as once we ordered there was a 30 minute minimum between each of the four courses. One or two courses were barely luke warm by the time we received them. I will continue to hold Cotton as one of my favorite restaurants but this one wasn't one of my favorite visits."

  • "My husband died on Nov. 27, 2013 of ALS. I wanted to do something special for some of the many friends and family who had helped me so much. So when I was invited out for lunch on my birthday(Dec. 31) and allowed to pick the spot, I chose Cotton. And then I thought, I am going to pay for this. It will be my surprise. My friend and 2 family members were delighted. My friend said,"This is the first time I ever invited someone out for a birthday lunch and they paid for it!" Anyhow, all was very special including our waiter. And I was pleased when the bill came. I had expected to pay much more. Food, excellent!!"

  • "We went to Cotton for New Years Eve. Had a reservation for 7:45pm and were seated shorlty after that. However, after being seated we found that the normal Cotton menu was unavailable and could only select from a 4 course menu with a fixed price of $65 per person. This would have been nice to know ahead of time. On top of that the service was TERRIBLE! We ordered a few minutes after being seated. 20 minutes later we received our first course. Then it was another HOUR before our waitress told us our dinner was almost out and we had to inform her that we had yet to receive our salads. We were told a manager would come to see us and they never even showed their face. For the prices charged this experience was totally unacceptable."

  • "I travel a lot so haven't had a chance to get into Cotton. Went for our anniversary, and was very happy. Wonderful to have somewhere you can get something unique and inspired right here at home. Food was great, service was even better. Finally found somewhere that makes a good Sazerac cocktail to boot."

  • "Our party ate at Cotton for a birthday dinner and enjoyed it! Every dish our table had was tasty and presented promptly and warm. Very unique flavors! Our only complaint would be the service was a little slow. Our waitress was sweet, but our drinks stayed low or empty most of the meal."

  • "We've been three times in the last few months and find service to be inconsistent: polite and knowledgeable, but long gaps between checking in and in particular between putting in food orders and receiving the food even though we were there for an early seating and the room didn't really begin to fill until have we were well into the dining experience. During this visit my entree arrived minus a component I had understood to be part of the plate. The server indicated he would check on it, but never got back to confirm what had happened. But after three similar experiences on the service it's disappointing. with 2 person server teams, so it is not possible to know if the issue was with one or both as they alternated visits to the table."

  • "I cannot fathom how great the experience at Cotton was. Not only was the food, drink, and service great, but to finish off the perfect dining experience Chef Cory came and personally thanked us for coming to the restaurant. He's a chef who is confident in what he does, enjoys his patrons, and the overall vibe of the waitstaff is portrayed by the Chefs enthusiasm. The food, ambiance, and service are beyond expectation and good company helps a lot. This is a great place for a first date or special occasion. A must if you live anywhere in North Louisiana. I highly suggest eating at this competitive gem of a restaurant."

  • "Everything was AWESOME, except for the firework show on the bridge next to the building. Which I do not hold that against Cotton at all. Our lovely police department decided to park in front of Cotton with their lights going, so it lit up the whole building. But, as for Cotton and its staff, I give them a 5 STAR."

  • "We went there for a birthday celebration. The food was really good, especially the red bean hummus! Service was excellent and when they found out it was my birthday, they brought out some tasty gingerbread piggy cookies. I love the décor and all the extra touches that make the dining experience special."
