Restaurant ChristineGreat Place to celebrate a birthdayI treated my friend to lunch at Christine's for her birthday and not only had they decorated the table, but also gave her a lovely dessert. The food and service was above average and prices reasonable for white tablecloth dinning. I had the Asian sampler platter which contains a nice selection of food, plenty to eat. My friend got the lobster salad which was also very good but not as filling. They provided a nice selection of breads with lunch.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNot Your Ordinary LunchWhile seemingly simply prepared, the menu was creative and inspired with outstanding dressings and sauces. Our experience was lunch and while not "quiet" it was easy to carry on a conversation. Hearts of romaine salad with creamy taragon was great. The South Western chicken pasta was excellent - no where near a 'typical' dish. Restaurant Christine manages to prepare and serve food that is not too exotic for anyone's taste. It has a bistro-quality to it. The Szechuan seared ahi was one of the best meals I've ever had! And the service was very personable as always. It came with an excellent sauce, an "out of this world" eggplant moussaka that complimented the lamb chops perfectly and sauted fresh spinach. They have excellent wines by the glass...Far Niente chardonnay, my favorite and I had an excellent meritage to go with the lamb. Excellent assortment of seafood, tasty sauce, perfectly seasoned, and served "hot." Typically excellent service - serve was friendly, attentive, but intrusive. Suggested the dish become a regular menu item. Cost was reasonable for the delicious dish and a generous portion as well. Server's name: Lisa.
