Beautiful Spot, Excellent Selection
I loved my experience at Pier Cafe. I saw pictures on Opentable (having never been to San Diego) and thought that it looked like a nice place. In person, the view is stunning as is the restaurant itself. The seafood was very good and very reasonably priced. My date and I loved everything about this place!

Service was fine. Food was
Service was fine. Food was good, not great. I ordered flowers to arrive at/before dinner time and they arrived as expected so I was happy about that. Server was ok...seemed slightly like he wanted us to move/order quickly...but it wasn't horribly bad. When it came time to pay, it took a little longer than expected for him to come around to present us with the bill. Overall experience about about a B. Just like in Real Estate...location, location, location. You have a great location, so that is a huge plus. I'd come back.

It was my birthday and wanted to find someplace new. I looked online and decided to choose Pier Cafe. Great Place. The food was great, as was the service. Beautiful view. I would definitely go back. Would love to try the brunch next time.

Food was good. Service was great until we got our food but then disappeared. Never got beverage refills and waited 15+ minutes for our bill.

The food is good, decently priced. But the view, the view is amazing!!! We went 30 minutes before sun down and got to watch the sunset as we ate! Perfect!

A friend and I went here on my last night of a business trip I was on. I needed to relax and get ready for the long travel home (I live in MD) I got the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer-fresh and good value for your money. I got the Seafood Brochetta for the entree--fish and shrimp skewered with veggies and grilled the served on a bed of rice with more grilled veggies--very delicious!! My friend had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and the fish and chips--he really liked his meal too. We both enjoyed their signature drink so we could take home the glasses. The drink is fruity with just enough alchol to make you slightly tipsey--highly recommend!

Great service, food, and water view
The san diego pier cafe was an awesome find my girlfriends sister reccomended it to us so we gave it a shot. Located in seaport village which has shops and wonderful view and is in down town san diego was a perfect dinner destination. If you get a chance sit by the water and enjoy this little san diego gem! Made my trip!

Great food, great view
We've been coming here for years, for both lunch and dinner. We bring all our out-of-town friends here to enjoy the view and the food. The menu has something for everyone. The servings are generous, and the prices are fair. The only downside is the price you have to pay to park in Seaport Village.

Perfect on July 4th with the family
We have young children, 8 and 4, and made reservations for 5:30 on July 4th, then changed it a couple of hours prior to dinner to a later time slot- 6:30. It was effortless with Opentable.com and they restaurant was accommodating for the time change. They placed us near the window overlooking Coronado bridge and this kept the kids busy looking at the boast, the kayak boats, the pelicans. Great view, great food...such reasonable prices, and great for all types of eaters.
Overall, a great meal, enjoyed it so much. And so happy that we made a reservation with Opentable because when we were seated and enjoying our meal...we could see the lines of people waiting outside for a spot to dine...about a 2 hour wait time!!

Fried Pickles Are Excellent!
Out of all the fried food we had here and our plates were full of the chicken, fish and shrimp and fries - all fried, the pickles were the best. We are stll talking about the fried pickles and the view. Other than that - Pier Cafe is really uneventful. Our server was a little cranky and not friendly at all. The staff did honor a request for a special table for our visit.

Reservations were easy. Table was ready when we arrived. We had dinner by the window where we could watch the sailboats & tour boats coming and going. The food was great, portions large and the prices reasonable. We even split meals. Not a full sea food menu (no crablegs or lobster), but there was something for everyone. It was little chilly because its on the bay, so be prepared.

Restaurant on the water
Great food at a great price. Took the extended family of 10 to dine here after visiting the USS midway. It was a short walk from the ship and a perfect place for dinner. They put our party in an upper room which was more private than below. I would eat here again when in the area.

Good Time with a Great View
My husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at Pier Cafe. I remembered seeing the restaurant while visiting Seaport Village and had thought it would be a good choice since neither of us had ever been there. I was hoping for something intimate and romantic, but that is not how I would classify this restaurant. Not to say that the ambiance was bad, it is just more open and social. The wait staff was wonderful!! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and the view was terrific! The clam chowder and Watermelon cooler were the best I have had. The entrees were not spectacular, but everything else made up for it. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again, just not for a special event :)

3rd Visit and Excellent
Had lunch with a co-worker and everything was perfect. Great table, in a great location with floor to ceiling glass and views in multiple directions. Service was flawless and food just outstanding. I had the Fish Taco's which I love at Anthony's, but the Fish Taco's at the Pier Cafe are much better. (Sorry Anthony's) Large thick pieces of flaky fish - the Tacos were so large I had to use a fork. The two Taco's were so filling I didn't touch the Salad and saved it for later. My Co-worker was so impressed he is bringing his wife this weekend for dinner. Really great job.

Pier Cafe is a very well-managed
Pier Cafe is a very well-managed restaurant. The view is the best in San Diego, facing the best view on Coronado Island. The prices are great for the food, service and ambience. Pet friendly on the outside patio, if you want to stop for a few and relax. Friendly and coureous staff. Excellent manager!
