Although it was Easter & crowded, the server was very friendly & attentive-frequently filling up our coffee cups & asking what else he might do. Had the Tuscan skillet which is very tasty. And the sweet butter for the toast is delicious. All in all, a very nice experience, very good food at a fair price for what you are getting.

Nice breakfast spot! Our
Nice breakfast spot! Our waiter was do friendly and was running to keep up with all of his tables. I had the oatmeal with bananas and it was exactly what I wanted. My husband had the banana and flaxseed pancakes with Nana's and berries--that ws the best ! My son had corned beef hash that was just ok. Still, nice little spot close to Michigan Ave. we would go back.

My friend is very picky and every time we go to brunch orders the same thing that is never on a menu - a simple bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. So many places have refused to make this for him. Sunny Side Up not only did so happily, but made it wonderfully (he reluctantly let me try a bite of the deliciousness)! The service was great, food was delicious, and the spot was very cute.

The menu is big but not overwhelming. Everything we ordered was delicious and I will definitely be back soon!

In an area known for tourist destinations, this is one of the few spots on Chicago's Gold Coast with soul, atmosphere, and terrific food. We went for lunch and found the menu varied--my friend had an omelet and I chose grilled whitefish--was perfectly done. The service was attentive and appropriate. We were able to converse comfortably and just had a truly lovely time. I plan to return and take others. A great find.

Great neighborhood location
The restaurant is in a lovely old house but right off the Magnificent Mile. Good food and decently priced.

Cozy little place
We really enjoyed our breakfasts. Huge portions and beautiful atmosphere. Great coffee from their downstairs coffee shop, too.

My friend and I were walking through town when we saw this cute little hole in the wall restaurant. This is where you want to go if you want a large portion of good food. Wow, I could not finish my portion. Definitely a good spot to find if you are in the area.

Better than average brunch
I love brunch, but this place definitely exceeded my expectations when it came to the food. I ordered the Egg White Salmon Omlette and it was packed with salmon and veggies. There was no skimping on ingredients. I was even impressed by the potatoes that came with the omlette, which generally I have no problem skipping over. The flavor and texture of the potatoes made me clear my plate. They also serve homemade vanilla butter with the toast that tastes like ice cream. Hard to beat with the raisin bread toast choice. Great place! I will be going back!

Right Side Up
We were looking for a breakfast place close to our hotel. This cafe is located within an old house and the character has been kept. This is a great little find. The food was well prepared and well presented. The service was professional and
Helped start your day with a smile.

Homemade Goodness with Pride
I had the homemade corned beef hash. It was immediately obvious that it was made at the restaurant as it was fresh, spicy but not hot, and prepared to order. My companion had the stuffed french toast, a most generous serving with four pieces of fruit laden toast. Entrees arrived at the table promptly and hot. All of the wait staff and the maitre de appeared genuinely interested in satisfying us. We knew when they asked if everything was tasting good that they cared as they listened attentively to our responses and smiled at our answers. We will return to explore other menu options.

really good breakfast
We had a great breakfast, with a huge selection of items to choose from. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Saw a review on Urban Spoon that was great and went. Wish I lived in Chicago to be able to go again!

I had never even realized that Sunny Side Up was where it was but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Good, consistent food and service. I went for brunch with a group of women and the waitstaff did not rush us at all. Great place for brunch!!

unique and very good
I booked this sight unseen for Sunday breakfast on a girls weekend. It was tree lighting weekend holiday so very busy. The restaurant was packed, but ready for us. We were greeted very warmly and seated asap. Restaurant is a narrow building with winding staircase and I have no idea how the staff does it. The were all very attentive and our food was great. It is not a place where you can rush due to the building. Be prepared to relax and enjoy the people watching.

Had some issues making the reservation through Open Table, but they were very nice about it when I called. Food was good and it has a nice ambience. Glad we tried it.
